Photoshop CC & Lightroom Pricing

Question

Yesterday I received an unsolicated E'mail from Adobe quoting me $9.99/Month for Pfotoshop CC and Lightroom 5, great offer.  When I went to purchase the price in Ireland was €12.29/Month (this equates to $16.09/Month).   Given that I will be loading loading common software from servers in the USA or someother Adobe data centre, the price difference of €6/month (€72/Year) is unacceptable.
When I checked the UK prices the offer was £8.78, equating to $14.68, again $5 markup.
I know all the argument about European VAT and taxes, but as an existing Adobe customer I would like to clearly understand why a software product I buy and down load in Ireland is $6 a month more expensive in Ireland and $5 a month expensive in the UK than in the USA.
Equally I would like to understand why Adobe are e'mailing offers and quoting prices that their web site does clearly not support, is this not illegal.
I tried E'mailing this question directly to adobe, but there seems to be no general E'mail address.

It's called price gouging.  Try Google with that and Adobe Microsoft and Apple.  If you are mad enough, write to your MP and make a fuss. Do you have any TV shows that take on corperate greed and business bad guys?  If yes, write to them as well.  Write to the papers, get really angry and feed off that anger to make things change.
For what it's worth, I used to pay 50% more for my Adobe products here in New Zealand. We were luxky that an Australian MP, Ed Husic, got on the case and in fact I exchanged some emails with him.  I now pay pretty much the same as folk in America, and it is not just down to exchange rates.
