Photoshop CC not printing corrrectly

Photoshop CC(2014) on Windows 7 is not allowing my Sinfonia 1245 printer to print using the perceptual rendering intent. Despite setting the correct intent in the printer setup dialog ( and this matches the printer properties set in the control panel), when I print PS forces the printer into an unacceptable (Chroma Saturation) intent. Printing the same file from PS CS3, Lightroom CC or InDesign works fine. 2 hours on phone with Adobe and no solution. Help?

Yeah- we tried all that with no luck. Reinstalled PS, print drivers etc. Somehow the printer options (rendering intent, color correction, etc) are not “sticking” when you close the printer’s setup dialog and go back to the PS print dialog. Works perfectly with the other Adobe apps. Worked perfectly until a week ago with PS CC. Sinfonia (printer manufacturer) says it’s an application (PS) error since the driver works correctly with all the other (including Adobe) apps. Adobe was trying to say it was a print driver error until I pointed out that all was OK with the other Adobe apps. Waiting to hear back from advanced support at Adobe….but feel (hope?)  I might get more accurate info from the forum.

  • Elements 11 - when I try to print a photo, I get this message "photoshop can not print this document"

What do I need to do when I get this message? "Photoshop can not print this document"

Those pixel dimemsions have aspect ratios that are not the same as a 5 x7 print:
    1360 x 1360 = 1.0
    790 x 640 = 1.23
    2048 x 1366 = 1.5
    An 7 x 5 image = 1.4.
So you'll need to crop the images to 5 x 7 before printing.  The first two images are a little light in the pixels to produce a high resolution 5 x 7 print.

  • Photoshop can not print the maximum amount of data that can be spooled to a PostScript printer is 2G

    Hi all,
This is the first time I've worked with the .psb (large format) size and I have gone to print a PDF of the file and I get the message:
"photoshop can not print this document because the document is too large. The maximum amount of data that can been spooled to a PostScript printer is 2GB".
The file itself is a 2700x1570mm 300dpi flatten .psb image that is 500mb in size.
Not sure how I can get around this, where abouts do I see the image size information that is being spooled?
    Any help would be great

There's no easy way to see the size of the image that's being spooled, but 2G limit is uncompressed, 4 bytes per pixel (either RGBX where X is a padding byte, or CMYK, depending on the image / printer), times about 1.6 because the image data is sent in ASCII85 format rather than binary.
With your image at over 100 inches at 300 dpi, you're also perilously close to the 32k limit on the pixels in any one dimension (31,900 by my calculations) that PostScript can handle.
The limits are 32767 pixels in either dimension, and 2GB of data total. The data that's sent at 4 bytes per pixel, and converted to ASCII85 so that it'll make it across any connection. ASCII85 gives about a 1.6 expansion factor, if I remember correctly.
Do you really need a 10 foot image printed at 300 dpi? If not, changing down to 200 dpi will probably let this image print.

  • I'm getting a lot of 'Photoshop can not print this document' errors

Has anyone experienced / solved this problem? the error just reads 'Photoshop can not print this document.' with no further information. Flattening the document resolves the problem, but I would like to think that there is a better solution.
    Thanks

  • Elements 12, Epson Artisan 1430, "Photoshop can not print this document"

I recently upgraded to Elements 12 and also got a new printer, Epson Artisan 1430. I got some great prints and then one day, it stopped working. Elements error. No error number just a message, "Photoshop can not print this document" I tried restarting the program, the printer, and the computer. No luck. Tried different graphic files; no luck. The printer works with all other programs beautifully. I cannot find help anywhere on Adobe forum. Running Windows 7

John, I deleted the printer and deleted those folders and reinstalled the printer using the printer menu. When I tried the apple software update it said my software was up to date and didn't offer an option to get updated print drivers. I tried printing again and the same thing happened.
    Syd,
I am trying to print from the Macbook to the Artisan entirely over a wireless network. The Macbook has not been plugged directly into the printer or to the router at any point in this. I did try what you suggested, resetting the printing system, and as earlier it did not offer any software updates when I looked for one. I tried printing again and the same result.
I dug around some more directories and found some more files with the epson name in there and deleted those and then attempted to reinstall using the printer setup page, and then again tried a software update and again it didn't find any new drivers, and of course the same printing error occurred again.
It sure appears that the MacOS is holding onto drivers somewhere that I cannot discover because when I reinstall the printer it takes it all of 3-4 seconds to install, and when I try to do the software update it is not finding any new drivers anywhere.
Syd, I agree that there seems to be something specifically corrupted about the printer driver itself, however, but is there another way to remove drivers?
Should I try uninstalling everything and attempting a USB installation to see if prints that way?

For some reason my HP 5650 does not print images anymore. It will print a page from Firefox. It pretends to print a Photoshop image or a jpeg opened in Mac's Preview app but the page is blank. I can't seem to find a link to drivers or information.

By the way, you can leave it connected to your Airport Express by Ethernet.  The router does not care how things are connected, wired can talk to wireless and v/v.

  • Photoshop elements not printing correct image size

My photoshop elements 12 prints images larger than called for by the settings. A 3" square image, for example, printed at "actual size" comes out at about 3.5 inches. This is a new problem, as I've use PSE for years without it happening. I figure I must have unknowingly changed a setting somewhere, but can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

I did that, and also reinstalled PSE, both to no avail. Here's a shot of the print dialog. I don't know where the numbers shown by my arrow came from, or how to change them, but when I print the page, and the photo I am printing, are scaled up to 11x8.5, thereby expanding the image proportionately. This particular image is 3x2 inches actual, but comes out 3.75x2.5 inches. There seems to be a built-in border of some sort that I've never had to deal with before.

  • Photoshop CS5 not printing correctly

I am trying to print a jpeg from Photoshop with no luck. I get a thumbnail sized image every time. One thing to note, if I use larger paper the thumbnail scales up.

Any help would be appreciated. Trouble shooting steps have included adjusting every print option I could find.

    Xerox Phaser 7760DN PS
Well, PS stands for PostScript and there are multiple language levels/ versions of it. If the driver allows, choose a more compatible older one, e.g. level 2 in favor of level 3. Similarly, the printer itself or the driver may offer means to control how specific sub-sets are interpreted, for instance with regards to font handling. Such printing errors often come down to "bad" PostScript being misinterpreted by the printer. If all else fails, also look whether you can install it with PCL emulation or similar wit ha different driver. That may also work...

  • Photoshop CS5 not printing in color!!!

I'm running Mac 10.7.5, with Photoshop CS5.  My printer is a Brother MFC-J435W.  Until just recently, I've not had any problem printing anything.  But a few days ago I can't get the printer to print in color off of Photoshop.  Any other program (LibreOffice, Preview, etc...) it prints color images just fine.  But all Photoshop documents for the past week have been coming out black and white.  I've checked and double checked all the Print dialog settings, and they're all set for color.  Puzzled and annoyed does not accurately express things... Help!  And thank you in advance...

You have enabled "Photoshop manages color" and are using a specific color profile...

  • Photoshop CS6 not printing

Photoshop gives me this message when I try to print from my iMac:
There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents.
I've deleted and reinstalled my printer. I've reinstalled the latest driver. I've repaired permissions--this seemed to fix the problem at one point. But now it doesn't help.
This is baffling and frustrating. I am able to print from PS on my MacBookPro with no problem. And I can print from other programs on my iMace. The problem seems to be Photoshop/ iMac specific. I'm running OS X 10.10.1, Yosemite.
    Is anyone out there?

It's a Canon Pixma MG5320, connected via wifi.
Again, the printer works fine with other apps, and Photoshop works fine from my laptop. I'm using the same version of Photoshop on each computer (13.0.6 x64)

  • Photoshop CS5 not printing actual size?

I have created a document in photoshop sized 8.5x11, the same size as my printer paper, at 300dpi.  I am using the ruler guidelines onscreen to make an image 6 3/4" wide, but it is printing out too small at 6".
Please note that I am not measuring onscreen by putting an actual ruler up against my screen, I am using the photoshop ruler (so I am sizing according to the 6 3/4" ruler in photoshop, even if it is 8" on my screen)
In the print settings, I uncheck "scale to fit media" and "center image".
    What am I doing wrong?

post a screen shot of your process.... it sounds right, but i bet we can catch something in your documentation of this process

  • Photoshop images not printing sharply in Microsoft Word doc

My images - (so far I tried a Photoshop eps and a press high res pdf from InDesign) - which are placed into a MS Word document, are printing very soft, with blurred/jagged edges. Color is off a bit as well.
Am I saving the Photoshop file incorrectly? Is there something I should be checking or allowing or enabling as I save ?
    Any other thoughts ?
All images,of course, print well in Adobe products and Apple's Pages software. My client, however, uses Office and it has to work in MS Word, and I have to make it work. I know it can be done...but after hours of fiddling, testing and searching I don't have a solution.
    Thanks.

Thanks! Yes I tried this shortly after you posted and meant to get back to you.
    Used pngs works much better.

  • Photoshop not printing: error message

I am having serious trouble, I would label it an impossibility, printing in Photoshop CS6 (and Photoshop CC, I tried both)  When I select print, I get an instant error message:
"There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."
I am running Mac OSX10.9.3. I have done a de-install and re-install. I have also re-installed the printer drivers. I have no difficulty printing through InDesign or any other programs. No matter what printer I try (I have three to use) Photoshop will not print.
Mysteriously, I had no trouble printing this time yesterday, and have not changed my hardware or external software since. The problem is with Photoshop. Thank you (anyone!) for your help.

So no one has solved this?
I have the same problem, so my slow work around is this: Save as PDF and print from either Preview or Adobe Reader which both work fine (suggesting that Photoshop might be the issue).
NB, the fault occurs on both CC and CC 2014.
Can't seem to find any info on the fix or work-around so any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

  • Photoshop to Epson Printer Margin Issue

I have a small print shop and have had an issue with the new Photoshop CC not printing images with correct margins on and Epson 9890 and 11880. If I set the image to center on an 8x10 sheet (or any other size). The image comes out skewed to the upper left. between .125 and .25 inches to the left and to the top. I never had this issue with other versions of Photoshop.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that the print driver sets the margins. This has always been the case. However, if I print from a different version of photoshop on the same computer with the same printer, I do not see this problem.
It is as though Photoshop is centering between the right margin edge and the left paper edge, leading the print to be off center. If it simply centered between the margin edges (as it always did in the past) there would be no problem.
