Photoshop CC OpenCL grey out have 512 VRAM and GHz Intel Core i5

Hi
I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch Late 2011 have upgrade my Ram to 8 GB so that the VRAM is now 512 MB, and running OS X 10.9.4 but still no OpenCL
GHz Intel Core i5
Help ?

The 13 inch late 2011 Macbook Pro uses an intel HD 3000 Graphics card that does not support Open CL.
Mac computers: OpenCL and OpenGL support in OS X Mavericks
However 512MB of Vram is enough to support 3D.

    From what I read here:
    http://www.tuaw.com/2011/06/06/lion-...u-2-gb-of-ram/
s long as they already have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 installed in it.All a person needs to do with that type of iMac is to upgrade/max out their Ram. They claim that an Interl iMac with Core 2 Duo is all that is needed, as long as it has OS 10.6.8 installed. They say you don`t need  the "Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor"
But I wonder about the RAM speed, the iMac 2.33Ghz uses DDR2 SDRAM,  which I believe is rated at 667Mhz. Lion maybe installed but it might be problems running smoothly or not?
Did some quick checking and the iMacs apple is selling this year use 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM.
The only thing to do is to make sure you have a good back-up, Install your RAM and install Snow Leo, then wait a couple of hours and install Lion.
    Good Luck

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive may be failing.
Launch the usual set of applications you use when you notice the problem.
    Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the page that opens.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.
Select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected.
Click the heading of the % CPU column in the process table to sort the entries by CPU usage. You may have to click it twice to get the highest value at the top. What is it, and what is the process? Also post the values for % User, % System, and % Idle at the bottom of the window.
Select the System Memory tab. What values are shown in the bottom part of the window for Page outs and Swap used?
Next, select the Disk Activity tab. What approximate values are shown for Reads in/sec and Writes out/sec?
    Step 2
You must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way as above. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Post the 50 or so most recent messages in the log — the text, please, not a screenshot.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out before posting.

  • I have a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 macbook pro that has lion installed when I recieved it, according to the support pages AHT is supposed to work over the internet if it wasn't installed, Mine wasn't and it doesn't work. Where can I download it from?

I Have a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 macbook pro, I recieved it with OSx 7.2 lion installed, I need to us AHT (apple hardware test) according to the support page that I copy here
    Additional Information
Apple Hardware Test is included on the DVDs that are shipped with some Macintosh computers. If the copy on your hard drive becomes unavailable, use the DVDs to run Apple Hardware Test.
For Intel-based Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.4  or earlier, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Mac OS X Install Disc 1  and should be included with your computer.
For Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.5 to 10.6.7, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Applications Install  Disc 2 and should be included with your computer.
For some Apple computers that shipped with OS X Lion, if Apple Hardware Test cannot be found on the hard drive, an Internet-based version starts up instead.
This doesn't work as the additional information statement says it should above.  Could someone at apple give me an idea of where to get it or what the "REAL" solution is, since it doesn't work on an internet version which was confirmed today at the Genius Bar in the Apple store.
    Please help me

Thanks, while it worked on yours it doesn't work on mine, any other ideas?
Are you holding down the "d" key, all by itself, just after the system shuts down for a restart?
And how long did you hold it down?
I held mine down for about 40-50 seconds. Then I lookat at my routers WAN light and it was flickering so I let up on the d key.
If that does not work then maybe there is something wrong with your MBP. Is that the reason you want to run this test, something isn't right with your unit?

Spotlight may be indexing your drive(s).  Click the Spotlight icon at the right of your menubar; if it shows things being indexed, that's at least some of the reason.

Yosemite. Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download it from the Mac App Store.
If desired, you can instead buy a download code for Lion or Mountain Lion from the online Apple Store.

  • I have an 2.7 GHz intel core i5 4GB RAM Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 ad is too slow what can I do?

If I have just 2 applications opened like safari and itunes and starts being slow, When I work with photoshop it`s so frustrating, I bought this computer 'cause they recommend for design and I'm starting to prefer PC again! what can I do???

Please carefully read Activity Monitor to read System Memory and determine how much RAM is being used and report back with what you find, you may only need to upgrade the RAM.
However have you done any troubleshooting such as restarting in Safe Mode to clear some caches or a SMC reset or even just restarting the computer?

  • I have a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. Can I use mirroring via Apple TV? If so. how.

I'm having no trouble sending stuff from my iPod Touch to my TV via Apple TV, but can't seem to get my
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac to do so, as the mirror icon is not appearing in the Menu bar on top.
    1. Can my processor mirror?
    2. If so, how do I get the iCon to appear in the Menu bar

Looking at your processor, you haven't got a compatible Mac. AirPlay Mirroring requires a Mid 2011 or newer iMac > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
To mirror the Mac's display to the Apple TV, use an application like AirParrot or Beamer > http://www.airparrot.com
If you want to use AirPlay to send music or videos to the Apple TV, open iTunes and you should see the AirPlay icon on the iTunes toolbar

  • How to deal with OpenCL grey out issue.

First off, I'm not native english speaker.
I have Nvidia GeForce 550 Ti video card, and its support OpenCL v1.1.
I'm also face a "random" OpenCL grey out issue like other people here, but I found the "issue" and how to deal with.
open a command windows (using WinKey + R, and type cmd <enter>)
    type "cd C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)" <enter>
type "sniffer_gpu" <enter>  -->> to check your GPU has OpenCL in Photoshop?
When GPU is in power-saving mode (core running in 51Mhz, using MSI Afterburner monitor), I running sniffer_gpu, got this report
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)>sniffer_gpu

Then, I switch GPU back to normal status (core running at 900Mhz)
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)>sniffer_gpu

    OpenCL support !!
Nowadays, most of new GPUs were support power-saving, but when sniffer_gpu running at GPU power-saving state, the OpenCL computing report maybe "time-out", cause the detector "guess" the GPU does not support OpenCL. This is why many people says "OpenCL" sometimes work, sometimes grey-out.
I hope this bug can be fixed, or at least people can understand how to "enable OpenCL everytime when you launch photoshop".
    Bye.

I have made a swirl, but the allign stroke inside, and allign stroke outside are greyed out. Why? And how can I fix it?

Thank you, that kind of explains the why. Is there a how? Meaning is there a workaround? Basicly I have two strokes. One white thin stroke on the path (black background), Now I want my second stroke (which is a blue gradient) to start from the path and continue inward, as if it was "alligned innside"
