Photoshop CC opens and then closes immediately. What gives?

I have signed up for the Photoshop CC and Lightroom package. Lightroom is running fine (Lightroom 5.2, 64-bit, Windows 7).
However, although Photoshop seemed to install OK, when I open it, it immediately shuts down.
When I look in Creative Cloud manager, it says Photoshop CC is "up to date".
Uninstalled Photoshop CC, logged out of Creative Cloud, logged back in again, and re-installed Photoshop CC.
Installation appeared to go OK. I started PS, window opened, and immediately closed. Was asked to complete registration by logging with my Adobe ID. I did (had done so previously but went rhough it again) but PS still crashes.
Signed out of Creative Cloud; signed back in again; PS still crashes, but a pop-up appeared stating that I should complete my registration by signing in with my Adobe ID. Did so, again.
Rebooted. Still no success.
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

There's a fix!
Un-install Photoshop CC.
Un-install Adobe CC.
Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and find SLCache and delete it.
Go to: C:\ProgramData\Adobe and find SLStore and delete it.
Restart.
Install Adobe CC.
Install Photoshop.
Restart.

Downloaded Apps open and then close immediately

The downloaded apps, not the apps that came with the phone, close immediately after i open them. i have reseted it multiple times and it doesnt work. HELP!!

I too have just experienced this, I suspect because I hooked my iphone up to a friends laptop when visiting on holiday (in Canada) and thought that rather than opening a new topic, I'd add on the end of this one...
I have tried all suggestions found on Google (a restore, de-authorising my laptop and re-authorising with the itunes store, not syncing apps, downloading a new app (on the iphone and on my laptop) and then re-syncing and none of this has worked.
Interestingly, if I download a brand new app via my laptop and sync it to my iphone, it works but all of my old apps restored from the backup open and then close within 2 seconds.
Can anyone help?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Software update and now Safari and Mail open and then close immediately

We installed the latest 8-1 software updates on our G4 and Cube.
Now Safari and Mail open and then immediately quit on the Cube - but no peroblems are experienced on the G4.
Do I need to reinstall Tiger and start over?

A couple of things to try before taking those drastic measures.
1. Repair permissions, restart.
2. Boot with the install disk, launch Disk Utility, and verify/repair the disk.
3. Boot into safe mode and see if it works there.
4. Reinstall the 10.4.7 COMBO update, restart, repair permissions, and restart.
If those don't work, consider Archive & Install rather than an Erase & Install. See http://www.apple.com/support/tiger/install/ for details.

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened full window it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum.

Every time I try to use an app when I click on the app it opens and then closes right away. Any idea what I can do to fix that?

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

AcroRd32 Opens and Then Closes when Invoked from VB in PowerPoint

Hi,
I am trying to open a pdf file embedded in a PowerPoint presentation while in presentation mode.
Theoretically, I should be able to click on the embedded object and have it open in its proper application.
When I try to open a pdf file, AcroRd32 opens, briefly displays the document, and then closes immediately.
This happens in both versions Acrobat Reader 9 and X. The problem didn't exist when using Office 2003, but now exists in Office 2007.
I can open the document when in editing mode - just not in presentation mode.
I have built an Add-In for PowerPoint.
My VB code for opening the document is:

Spry Accordion - Tabs open and then close after page loads

I am using a Spry Accordion menu driven from a database.
The menu opens up during the page load and then closes.
I'm using SpryAccordion.js 1.6.1
And to open a preset tab, I'm using:

But, all of the tabs open and then close on page load.

Well to both thanks. Actually I wasn't disappointed as I had a two part question...
I tested the 1.6 JS and remembered that I had to modify the 1.4 so that tabs actually would link. So I reverted back to 1.4.
So, going to 1.6 fixed the open panel on load but "unfixed" the panel tab from linking.....
So changing this in the 1.6 js fixed the link issue as well:

I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

Acrobat will not work, opens and then closes

I can not get Acrobat to stay open, I purchased the download it seemed to download fine but opens and then closes.

Did you install with anti-virus deactivated? Have you activated Acrobat? You may have to uninstall, run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove the Acrobat folder, reboot, and reinstall.
Another possibility is to go to the control panel>Programs & Features and do a repair.

Facebook app begins to open up and then close immediately

When I am opening up the Facebook application on my iPhone, it just opens the screen and then closes right away.
Does anybody know why? I've powered down and back up, but it still does the same. My phone is just a couple of days old, but I've done the software updates.

I starting having this problem yesterday, for the second time in two weeks (I got my iPhone on the 26th of July). I did a complete restore last night. i got all of my data re-entered into each program. then, i switched my language to Japanese, and all apps started crashing again. I tried un-syncing a bunch of them, re-synching, then synching only part of the 80+ apps I have (okay, I know I'm an app junkie). Hard re-setting didn't work. Nothing did.
I was actually thinking of taking it back and reactivating my old phone.
Then I tried something simple. I re-downloaded a free app (Hangman) directly to my iPhone via the apple store. BAM! Hangman worked, and so did everything else.
The cause of my problem may not have been the same as everyone else's, but here is what I think worked.
1) In OS X on a mac, if something goes awry with a program, you usually can fix it by deleting a plist file.
2) Since you cannot do that on your iPhone, a corrupted plist file somewhere in the iPhone was refreshed/fixed by re-downloading the software directly to the phone.
I know that elsewhere, on Maccast specifically, I heard that it is best to never download programs directly to your phone (it is always better to sync them through iTunes), but this has me thinking otherwise. Once I get iPhone working again, I may try to never again connect the iPhone to iTunes again. I guess this means listening to podcasts ONLY on my other (STABLE, NON-CRASHING) iPod, the classic... so even though I bought the iPhone in part so that I dont have to take a PHONE and a MUSIC PLAYER when I leave the house, then I will have to take two devices anyway...

Mail opens and then closes it self immediately

Please help, I open my mail and then almost immediately it shuts down. The dialog box says 'Mail unexpectedly quit'. I have tried restarting the computer but to no avail. I can't open my mail.
There have been other problems recently - I opened my itunes and it had removed all my playlists from the source list and all the music in the library bar around 3 albums. But not from my Music Folder.
Any ideas? Can you help?

Repeated crashes may cause Mail to discard the current ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist preferences file and create a new one...
