Photoshop cc png problem

Hi,
i have drag en drop mijn png logo on my pictures for years and never had a problem, yesterday i did the same as i done overtime, but this time when i drop de png file on the picture i get this weird looking thing around the png logo and i just can get rid of it. On every picture i drop a png file i get this same problem. you can see on the picture that there is a white weird thing across the pictures that's what i mean, even using eraser it doesn't help

Try turning off your GPU in Photoshop Preferences Performance section. To me it looks like it may be a device driver problem. If the problem goes away look on Apple site to see if they have updates fopr your mac.

  • PHOTOSHOP CS6 PLUGIN PROBLEM; I have PS CS6

PHOTOSHOP CS6 PLUGIN PROBLEM; I have PS CS6 & a mac osx 10.7.5  I have downloaded the pluginhttps://sourceforge.net/projects/panotools/  I drag it to the applications folder  (applications/photoshop/plugins) and it shows up there, but it does not show up when I reopen photoshop, can anyone tell me if this is a valid plugin or what I am doing wrong?

Thank you for the link, I don't see where the licensing is listed at all, I also don't see where it says it is for existing CS2 users only & the line install a special version that does not require activation -
doesn't scream it'd be a problem to load it especially since I already own a later version that I can't use the plugin on - …I don't find the site all that informative.  I appreciate all the answers & responses to my use of CS2 but I'd really just like to receive an answer to the original question of if the plugin works with it or not…if anyone has that answer I'd appreciate it.
Is there a place I can purchase it?  I will gladly do so if I can get the plugin to work-that is my goal.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 png image transpercy problem

    Hello,
On our site we used a lot of transparent png images.
The images show up fine however they are not transparent as in Photoshop.
Now the transparent areas are white where they are transparent in Photoshop.
Can anybody explains me what I'm doing wrong ?
For example the logo at the top above antivirus.
    Example 1 Antivirus logo
Example 2 Antivirus norton product page overview.
Exampe 3 Antivirus prijs in product overview.
    Thanks for the support.
Could this have something to do with how I save the png images ? For example I can save as PNG 24 and several other PNG types.

Thanks for your answer, indeed this fixed the problem. Quite stupid I did not see this myself

  • Problem - Photoshop Saving PNG files too large

An issue has recently cropped up with Photoshop for me.
Whenever I try to create a png-24 object using "Save for Web", in the program it will tell me that the file should be only around 1kb, it will end up in the folder 10-15kb, much more than I had intended.
This has only started happening recently, and when I have asked co-workers to try and export the same psd files using the same method, the exported pngs are the correct 1kb sizes. So the problem is only with my copy of Photoshop.
Currently I'm running Photoshop 10.0.1 on Windows XP Professional.
Has anyone else come across this problem, or know how to fix it? I've tried deleting my Preference file, but that didn't correct the issue.

Please describe the process in more detail (including OS etc.).
    Boilerplate-text:
Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)?

  • Photoshop CS3 .png format not appearing in the "Save As" drop down?

I have been searching all over the internet and forums like this for a solution but have not come across one that works. I have tried installing an update for .png 8 bit and replacing the .png format file entirely, and to no avail. I'm sure all updates are there for my Photoshop CS3 because I just had my lap top worked on and they had to re-add my CS3, so I think that if any updates were needed they would have done that. I have worked with programs like Photoshop for awhile now but I do not know to much about it's inner workers (files, etc.) so I am not sure what the problem is, and I really need this fixed ASAP. I am working on work and I need that .png format. I can't do without it and .png shows up in the "Save For Web Devices", but I am using trasnparency and it is not doing any justice to my images.
    Windows Vista
    Adobe PhotoShop CS3
15.7 GB free out of 105 GB
I was working on Photoshop all day yesterday - no problem. Today, I can't get .png.

Be very specific:  Does it say 10.0 or 10.0.1?  If the former, I recommend you visit this page and download and install the update:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3775
    The plug-in should be here:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\File Formats\Png.8bi
It should have a size and date of 98,304 bytes modified on Saturday, October 20, 2007, 8:11:42 AM EST.

  • Photoshop CS4 .png Error Message

    Hi,
I was just browsing through some of my research folders, and came across an image that i wanted to open. The file is a .png and is 2048x1323, 7.75MB, and previews fine in Windows Fax Viewer. However, when i went to open this in Photoshop CS4 Extended 11.0.1, i got an error message shown below:
    http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s133/rickyt_album/error.png
"Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file."
Any help on what this means and how to sort it out? At first i wondered if somhow the image wasn't supposed to be a .png, so i changed it to .jpg, but then i had the expected error of it noticing it isn't a jpg, and .jpg is the only other file format it could possibly be.
    Thanks,
    Ricky

Today I ran into a simular problem. It was a Tiff though and would not open in PS CS4 with the parse error. May sound weird but I could open it in Corel Paint shop pro X2 with no problems. So when I opened it in X2 I "saved as" the file as a PSD and closed out. Then I opened CS4 and the photo opened just fine. I am sure there is a better way but I didn't have the time to try it. I will mess around with the TIFF file tomorrow to see what is going on.

  • Photoshop Color Picker Problem ... please read!

    Hi
I just installed Photoshop. When I try to choose a color, the colors are all messed up. I set the color mode to RGB and it still happens. The problem is that white appears light green. In the color picker, I see green fading to red fading to black.
It is not a monitor problem. All shades of grey (including white) show up in every other program - including the actual Photoshop application. It just happens in the color picker, and any shape or object I draw that is white, grey, or black.
    Here is an image:
    http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/6057/colorpickerrk3.png
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks
    Elliott

It's not a monitor problem, it's a monitor profile problem. The other mentioned apps are not color managed and do not use the monitor profile. Recalibrate but if you're using an eyeball type calibrator, do not use your existing profile as a starting point. Use a different monitor profile or even sRGB as a starting point. Harware calibration devices and programs do not need to do this as they clear the existing profile automatically.

  • Photoshop file association problem

    Hi,
This is probably not the right place as this is most likely not a Photoshop issue, but I'm all out of luck trying to find a solution. I am having issues with file association and was wondering if anyone had a similar problem and may be able to help. I recently installed Adobe Design Premium CS5 only a couple of days ago, upgrading from CS4 and I'm finding that Photoshop is not associated with image files such as .PNG and .JPG and yet Fireworks and even Dreamweaver are.( By the way I'm currently running on Windows 7)
Now when I go to "Open with" on an image, Photoshop is not in the list, so I select browse, I then find the Photoshop EXE and click ok, then it brings open the list of programs to open with again, but after all that Photoshop is not there. I've tried both 32 bit and 64 bit applications of Photoshop, both shortcuts to the EXE and the EXE itself, but nothing seems to work. Other programs within the adobe package selects fine and loads the EXE in the list, it only seems to be Photoshop bugging out.
So has anyone had a similar problem that could please help me out?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

Before you resort to a fresh install of Windows and all that involves I would do the following.
Uninstall all Adobe programs from the Control panel applet.
Run the Adobe Clean Script to the deepest level.
    Clean the registry with CCleaner.
    Re-install CS5.
    (I don't think I forgot anything!)

  • Photoshop CS5 color problem

    Hello Photoshoppers,
I hope you guys can help me out with a problem i am facing for a few months now. I still haven't found a solution for it.
I was buzzy with a tutorial from the megazine "Webdesigner". The left side is the document i just started. The right side is the .psd that came from the CD which is delivered with the webdesigner megazine for learning purposes. This is a screenshot i made from it. As you can see there is a difference in the colors. Both files are .psd. When i use the 'eyedropper tool' and compare the color codes they are the same.
    Here a second example:
A document i created from scratch. I saved it for the web (.png) and put it side by side.
On the left side the .psd document, and on the right side the .png that i saved for the web.
Again the same colors when i use the 'eyedropper tool'.
    I use Photoshop CS5 with a Macbook Pro 15
I hope you guys can help me out with this.

    Left side:
    Right Side:
If i stay with the top image.
The left side: Adobe RGB (1998)
    The right side: sRGB IEC61966-2.1

  • Photoshop CS4 PNG?

Ever since I installed Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended I have a problem when I import a .png file for use in my timelines. I have always used .png for my title work out of Photoshop. The transparencies always used to show thru, but now when I import a .png title the transparent areas are white and black blocks show around the titles. Even old titles that I created with CS3 are that way. Did it install something funky? Are .png files the highest quality file to bring in anyway?
    Any help would be great!
    John

I am doing that with the png, but the alpha isn't there on any multilayered png file. If it is a single layer of text, it says that the alpha is "straight". But if the file had multiple layers in photoshop and saved as a png, the under alpha it says "none/ignore". Does that give you any clues?
    Thanks,
    John

  • Final Cut Won't accept Photoshop/Illustrator PNG Files

    Hi! 1st time post.
I haven't found an answer to this little irritation on the webs so here we go.
When importing an Illustrator (happens with Photoshop to) generated PNG, FinalCutPro (7.0.2; 302a63) gives me a "File Error: Unknown File." error and will not import it.
The file is produced like this:
In illustrator (cs4 14.0.0) I "File/Export..." my image as a PNG. Save options are set to "High (300ppi)", "Background color: Transparent", "Anti-Alias" box is checked, "Interlace" box is not checked. Saves No problem.
The work around I figured out is to open the misbehaving PNG in Preview, then save as PNG. FCP doesn't have a problem with the file after this point.
What do you all think is going on here?

Well, I need the transparency of a PNG.
And I neglected to mention that the files are set to RBG, not CMYK. I figured out CMYK issues related to video quite sometime back.
All this work is happening on my MBP.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS2 posterization problem on vignette

I am having a problem with posterization in my image. When I try to vignette my photo (with black) it starts to block up in areas, mostly in the darkest part of the gradient. It ends up not making a smooth transitional gradient and leaves a line where it blocks up. It shows up on the screen as well as on the print. I have a calibrated LaCie CRT 19" monitor, G5 and I am working from digital raw files from a Fuji S2 that are AdobeRGB and also film scans that have done the same thing. What can I do to prevent this? Is it something to do with my G5 or is it the software in Photoshop? If there is any info that left out to help solve the problem please let me know!
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

If it shows up on screen and in print, then issue is with the software.
Adobe has forums. Might try there.
    best wishes
    David

  • Photoshop/Bridge CS4 problem with AFP shares

    Hello,
I have recently purchased Photoshop CS4 and encountered the following problem: when opening images from a NAS share connected via AFP using File/Open command, Photoshop will correctly display the list of files but Open command in the File open dialog remains disabled after a file is selected from the list. However, I can open the same file by dragging and dropping it from the Finder to the Photoshop Dock icon or later using the Open recent menu command.
Similar problem is visible in Bridge: it will not display the image thumbnails from any of the subfolders in the network share.
I am using Leopard with the latest updates, I have a read/write permissions to the network share and Photoshop/Bridge are the only applications that have problems browsing/opening files from the network share. The NAS unit is a Synology DS-107+ with the latest official firmware.
Futhermore, I have noticed that I can work around the problem by opening the same directory in Finder. After the image thumbnails are visible in Finder, both Photoshop and Bridge will correctly open all files in that directory but opening files from other directories still has the problem.
Does anyone have any idea on what might be causing this strange problem?

This is the boilerplate text I use in connection to saving to a network (please NOTE the part where it explains that normally, it does work, but that it is impossible to troubleshoot someone else's network remotely, and that's why it's not supported by Adobe):
If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, please cease and desist immediately in the event you are currently experiencing problems with one or more files. Working across a network is not supported.
    See:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/322391.html
Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local hard disk, work on it, save it again to your local hard disk, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
Of course, the fact that Adobe does not support working across a network does not necessarily mean it won't work.   It should.
Adobe's position is that there are too many variables in a network environment for them to guarantee that everything will work correctly in every network, especially given the fact that if something does not work properly, it's probably the network's fault, and Adobe has no way of troubleshooting your network.
If you can't work locally, you are on your own, and if something happens, you're on your own. If you must work from a server, make sure your network administrator is a competent professional.
When problems arise, a lot of valuable work can be lost.
