How do I reinstall Photoshop CS3 on a new iMac which has no DVD drive?

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
    and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
or, you can copy your install files to a usb drive (if you have access to a computer with a dvd drive and usb port), and use the usb drive to install your cs3.

I had installed cs3 on a secondary harddrive than went bad. When I

    any help?

A Google Search turns up a lot of people recommending 3rd party uninstallers.  I haven't used any of those and can't recommend one.
Adobe themselves have a variety of removal aids...  Many look like they were for beta versions, but it's possible they could help you.  This turns up a lot of possibilties:

  • Photoshop 8 Reinstall

Had a severe computer crash, rebuilt from scratch.  Have no Photoshop Elements 8 software to reload (believe it was an online upgrade years ago).  I do have my license key.  Can I download this software from Adobe?

    HI FarEastRocker,
When you are the mentioned site , there is an information column that mentions the steps we need to perform before initiating the download .
    1) Please navigate to Adobe.com/downloads in a new tab.
    2) Click on the try button in front of either Acrobat (We are not downloading the product yet )
    3) wait for the Yellow download button to get populated .
    4) Once this is done, please navigate to prodesigntools website and start the download without closing the Tab# 1.

  • Photoshop CS3 reinstall with no disk

I recently switched macs and managed to back up my old software (somewhat). Because this Mac has a broken CD drive, I cannot use the install disk. I copied my old software over, and it looks like it will start to run, and then shut down. It gives me this DYLD error:
Library not loaded: @executable_path/../Frameworks/AdobeAGM.framework/Versions/A/AdobeAGM. I tried using the install cleaner and it won't detect my software. I have my license number and I'm prepared to PM it if anyone needs it for the solution. I just need the free trial of CS3 to upgrade to the full and i'll be on my way.
    Thanks!

Bigsis97 please do not private message your serial number to anyone other than Adobe Staff.  Even then I would recommend sending it via e-mail if it is necessary.
First I would recommend removing your current installation of Creative Suite 3.  Please run all available uninstallers in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once this is done please run the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal.  You can find details and a link to download the CC Cleaner tool at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.
Finally if you need a fresh copy of the installation files you can download them from Download CS3 products.

  • Trying to uninstall photoshop so I can reinstall but it does not show up on Suite Cleaner tool?

I previously had a trial of photoshop and then deleted it by putting in trash and empyting (my bad). I am now a subscriber to CC, but the app manager won't let me reinstall it just says "up to date", so someone suggested to get the cleaner and then I could remove JUST photoshop and reinstall b/c I don't want to delete my ID, AI, or muse files.
I need help figuring out which of these it lists I should uninstall because none of them are labeled as photoshop and like I said I don't want to delete other files.
This is the list the cleaner gives me.
    Creative Suite 6 Design Standard
    Adobe Muse
Adobe InDesign CS6 Application Base Files
    AdobeCreativeCloudDriver
    and Adobe Illustrator CS6 Core
Which of these should I uninstall so for photoshop so I can reinstall it? I don't understand why if it's detecting photoshop files on my comp (supposedly why it won't let me install photoshop, right?) that they don't show up here.
    Thanks for any help.

You can uninstall Adobe photoshop from below location on your MAC.
    1. Goto Applications –> Utilities –> Adobe Installers.

I am running MAC OSX 10.5.8 on a g5 and our office recently updated to CS4. For the first week, things went smoothly, now Photoshop is producing an error. "Could not complete your request because of a program error." In order to do anything in PS after I get that error, I have to Force Quit. So far it hasn't effected any other CS4 programs. I have uninstalled photoshop, then reinstalled. It worked for a few days, then started again with the error message. We have 4 machines running CS4 in our office and 2 of the 4 are having the same issue. HELP PLEASE!!! very frustrating.

  • Photoshop CS3 & CS4 crashing on open (iMac 10.4.11)

I've had Photoshop CS3 for a while now and working just fine on my iMac OS X 10.4.11.
All of the sudden it started to crash upon opening it. Bridge opened fine, but when I double-click to open a file in Photoshop, it crashes too.
I have tried Disk Repair and Disk Permissions repair, I have tried un-installing Photoshop and reinstalling it.
I even downloaded the trial version CS4 and that crashes the same way too.  I did upgrade the latest versions including Camera Raw. All updated. I do have 2 plug-ins (NoiseNinja & Portraiture) but I uninstalled them in the CS4 version. I also deleted my Photoshop Preference file.
    The crash report say:
"2009-10-28 11:26:57.142 Adobe Photoshop CS4[652] CFLog (21): dyld returns 2 when trying to load /Library/ScriptingAdditions/QXPScriptingAdditions.osax/Contents/MacOS/QXPScriptingAdditio ns
SysBreakStr: An unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred (primary). Exiting.
    Oct 28 11:26:59 iMAC crashdump[654]: Adobe Photoshop CS4 crashed"
The MAC has 4GB of SDRAM and under "System Memory" it says Free: 1.82GB, but under "Disk USage" it says "Space Free: 108.96GB".
Any other ideas? I've been searching through forums, facts and online for over a day now. I'm a photographer in the middle of my busiest week & month of the entire year and this is really crippling my work.
    Thank you
    J

and where is the rest of the crash report?
Part of the problem might be with /QXPScriptingAdditions -- some sort of Quark addition?

  • Is there a way to install just the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine?

I have a custom built Java 6 application that doesn't like Photoshop CS5 64 bit edition.  The program copies over a file from the network to the local machine and then opens it in Photoshop.  The user manipulates the image and saves the changes.  The user then completes the image and the application copies the image back to the server.  The problem we're having is: When we use Photoshop CS5 64-bit, it takes about 2 minutes for Photoshop to open the image.  The file is copied over within 2 seconds and the Photoshop icon on the windows taskbar starts flashing.  But then you spend a few minutes waiting for it to open.
Some things that I have tried to isolate the problem:
    - I found you can copy the file somewhere else, double click on it and the image will open in Photoshop before the script is able to open the file.
    - I tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling just the 64 bit edition without the 32 bit installation.  The script just stops working in this situation.
    - I tried uninstalling CS5 and installing CS3.  The image opens as soon as the file is copied over.
What I would like to try next is to install just the CS5 32 bit version.  But the installer is being uncooperative and will only allow either the 64 bit version or both the 64 and 32 bit versions.  So, back to my question: Is there a way to install just the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine?

Do you mean schroot?  If so I'm not sure exactly how well that will work out, because the part that depends on python is a deamon that handles communication between the USB dongle and the Tux Droid which may mean hacking the deamon a bit so ether way this does not seem like it will be a easy task.
