Photoshop CC Signin and License Required

I have been using and paying for PS CC for more than 8 months - last payment was late August.  When I sign in, it asks me to sign in.  When I pretend it is not my Adobe ID and sign in again, it says that I need a license number.  When I log into my account, it says that I have a trial version.  There is no Adobe contact to get help with this, so short of cancelling my subscription, I am appealing to this forum for some help.  I noticed another user had same problem, but signing in again did not help.  Any why does my account indicate that I have a trial version?  My temporary solution is to say yes to the trial version, but that probably won't work after 30 days.  Thanks for any help that can be offered.
Barbara

  • [svn] 2847: add code coverage ability to asc build.xml ( clover jar and license required to run)

    Revision: 2847
    Author: [email protected]
    Date: 2008-08-14 15:06:10 -0700 (Thu, 14 Aug 2008)
    Log Message:
add code coverage ability to asc build.xml (clover jar and license required to run)
    Modified Paths:
    flex/sdk/trunk/modules/asc/build/java/build.xml

I ran into this same problem when using ProGuard 4.1 for Java obfuscation. The problem is that there is a space in the path to your JDK/JRE, for example: c:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_03. Because there is a space before the word "Files", it isn't working. The solution to to wrap quotes around that particular command-line argument. In ANT, I needed to use single-quotes (because double-quotes were already in use for the XML attribute) such as:
    <java jar="proguard.jar" fork="true" timeout="30000">
    <arg value="-libraryjars"/>
<arg value="'${java.home}/lib/rt.jar'"/> <!-- Notice both double and single quotes used on this line. -->
...rest of the arguments go here...
    </java>
Alternatively, using ProGuard's custom ANT Task, it would look something like (notice the use of double-quotes around the rt.jar location):
    <proguard>
    -libraryjars "${java.home}/lib/rt.jar"
...rest of the arguments go here...
    </proguard>
Anyways, I hope this helps you or anyone else who runs into the same problem. Both of these approaches have worked for me.

  • Adobe Photoshop CC useless and licensing not working

I am so beyond fed up at this moment. I took the time and this year decided to make sure all my products is licensed so I signed up for Adobe photoshop CC and lightroom. But the support and the working has been shocking.
I've got so many issues and none are being resolved:
    1) When I start photoshop it counts down the trial (only 13 days left) I press license and it tell me it need to sign in, so one of two things happen:
    2) It either signs in but then immediately tells me I've been signed out to try again, and keep doing that OR
    3) It signs in and then tell me to enter a serial number which I dont have - its CC duh!!
    4) So then I try contacting support and there is NO RESPONSE!!!!!!!!!!
    5) I havent even downloaded lightroom yet - dont know where
    6) Photoshop keeps hanging! the trial of the old CS6 never hang, I've got 16gb ram, loads anloads of space and none of my graphics programmes have EVER had a problem. Its beyond irritating to have to close CC and loose an edit

  • Development and marketing of SAP EP solutions - any licenses required?

    Hi
Not sure which forum to post this in, so - maybe Coffee Corner is a good start
My question is about the licensing required to development and marketing small add-ons / extensions for SAP Enterprise Portal.
Is it possible for the individual developer to develop and market small add-ons for EP in Java WDP, making use of a trail EP installation?
Do you need a special license for this (to develop commercial products)?
Maybe like a [SAP NetWeaver Developer Subscription|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/development?refer=subscriptionslandingpage], or the [SAP Composition Subscription|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/composition?refer=subscriptionslandingpage]?
Reading up on the [Subscriptions FAQ|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/subscriptions/software-faq#q-4-5], and it is not very clear:
Can I use my developed add-ons, extensions, developments, or modifications in a production environment?
In order to run your add-ons, extensions, developments, or modifications in a production environment, you need to purchase the applicable license from SAP. SAP customers or partners who already have an applicable license can use SAP NetWeaver in a production environment.
    So-
"SAP customers or partners who already have an applicable license can use SAP NetWeaver in a production environment"
I'm not expecting to run the SAP NetWeaver Developer/Trail version you get with the subscription in a production environment - the question is would any prospective buyers of your developed add-ons be able to run these in their (fully licensed) NetWeaver / EP production environments?
(I feel this FAQ is not answering its own question correctly).
Purchasing a full EP license is a little out of my budget, and even the two developer subscriptions mentioned above are only available in Germany & the USA (and I reside in neither of which).
Any suggestions from the guys & girls of the Coffee Corner?
    Thanks!

I am not a lawyer, but my interpretation of this is that the subscription systems are for "sneak previews" of releases and experimenting with the software to see whether you like it or not...
So this means that if you do development work on it and want to use it in a production environment, you will need a full license to run the software productively first, and then add your development to that licensed landscape.
This is a different topic to licensing your own development. For this you would need to become a solution partner and request your own namsepace in SAP, and then license it as optional software via service.sap.com.
For the "little individual" like you and me, this is not really an option IMO.
In some special cases, I have seen external coding included in the standard system, and you get a special mention for it sometimes in the coding comments.
I was thinking about the same as well because I am busy experimenting with a tool for making dual maintenance of roles during upgrades easier and know a few customers who would be interested in such a tool (possibly controlled centrally by a SolMan CTS+ with after import rule sets).
Being ABAP, I think I could try to sell it once or maybe twice... but after that I expect it would be "in the wild" and see others posting it here on SDN as well...
On the otherhand, ABAP is more of a hobby for me and I am not a guru at it like many others here. If I were to post it here myself... then I could benefit from other contributions to improving it and making it more robust - like an open source project.
    Just some thoughts,
    Julius

  • Ive got photoshop CS6 in my computer but when I tried to open it, it opened as Photoshop CS6 Extended and is asking me if I want to license this software so I can no longer access Photoshop. Can anyone help at all?

I've been using Photoshop CS6 and suddenly when I try to open images with this it takes me onto a page saying Photoshop CS6 Extedned and is asking me to license this software. Ive already got Photoshop so why is this happening? I now cant access it?

You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated.

    Hello Mel,
I would not trust it, its impossible to have a a Lifetime License for 100$
So best would be to contact a Reseller or just buy via the Adobe website,
then you know its legit and trustworthy.

For the past week both Ps and Dw CC are requireing daily sign in and license agreement. I thought these products could be used without a full time connection to the internet. What have I missed that makes daily sign in and licensing a requirement?

I turned off the internet access on my laptop and since the programs could not verify I receive the following message.
So I'm assuming everything is ok and Adobe has just moved to a verify everyday platform. I've purchase a new Dell top of the line XPS system ($1,100) that I will run nothing but Windows and Adobe on. I'm still having issues with CC product line crashed all the time without an error message and Adobe thinks it my current PC and Laptop as they are only i5CPU with 6GB mem. So we'll see. Thing is I didn't have these problems until I upgraded to the CC product line.

If you have gone through the above, then you may want to find out if the program was deactivated prior to you receiving it. A given serial number cannot be on any more than 2 computers of the owner recognized by Adobe.

I apparently have not fully related to you the problem that is of primary concern to me. I have used Photoshop for many years starti
ng with CS2. I now have on installed CS2, CS4, CS5.1, and CS6 on my computer. I only want to us CS6. CS6 can not be activated. C5.1
can not be activated, but the older programs CS2 & CS4 work fine.
When I try to use either CS5.1 or CS6 I am advised I have registration error Number 213:11.
The notes above list the suggestion previously given to me by Adobe, none of them worked.

I see that my earlier response on Sept 4 on this Case, Number 0183591611 is not included in the above notes nor is your response to
this advising me that I would receive more information within 24 hours.
To complete the record, my problem is that I am still unable to activate both CS5.1 and CS6.
Your instructions stated in the case notes were followed.
The establishment of a new admin account did not help and also resulted in many programs on my computer being under different users.
Not a desirable setup. Some programs were disrupted requiring me to activate the RESTORE function in Windows 7.
I did not download a trial copy of CS6 as stated by you. I downloaded it from Creative Cloud.
I did download a trial copy of CS5 using the serial number furnished with my purchase order AD003933777 for this program. As I previ
ously stated this trial version with the valid serial number did not work nor did the version downloaded directly from the purchase
    order as you suggested.
The only communication I have received from Adobe in the last 72 hours is confirmation of receipt of my monthly payment for the Crea
tive Cloud which at this time is of no use to me.
As I have not heard further, I chose to reinstall CS2 and CS4 for which I still possess the program disks. Both work fine but did no
t help on a reinstallation of either CS5.1 or CS6.

I have followed both set of instructions. On Thursday, Sumitra requested i create a new admin account. First, this did not correct t
he problem and second, created a complex problem of using other programs.
I deleted the new admin account, and used Microsoft restore to get my system functioning.
Sunday Sirni, suggested the downloading of my Cs5.1 order directly rather than the use of the trial download. This was done and I am
still unable to use either CS5.1 or CS6.The error message has been and still is:
"A problem has occured with the licensing of this product. Restart you computer and re-launch the product. If this problem still occ

All steps have been followed and I am just where I started. I have been using Photoshop for many years and am now a Creative Cloud s

  • Open Photoshop 3 files and convert to TIFF or JPEG --- on the cheap!

    Hello,
I have about a hundred large scans in PS3 format on DVD.
I never use PS or other pro photo SW; only iPhoto.
    My last PS is v7.
I run the latest Snow Leopard on my new MBP 17 iCore7.
All I want is to recover these files and convert them to the highest quality and most accessible format without having to spend my $, only my time.
Can anyone put me near this goal?
    ---h

I'm not sure what you mean by "PS3 format"--do you mean they are psd files that were created in Photoshop 3? As far as I remember Photoshop 3 simply created standard Photoshop files that, if one chose to have extensions (which you didn't have to way back then) had a .psd extension. If the files are indeed Photoshop files, but without the extension, you can simply copy them off the DVD and add the .psd extension to them. Preview will usually open psd files. I do have at least one VERY old psd file that Preview won't open, it displays a note in English and French, that Photoshop 3 is required. It does open with Photoshop Elements 8 and the free GIMP. Why it won't open in Preview I don't know, perhaps because it has three layers, two of which are text layers. Other psd files with layers DO open in Preview, although they often look a bit peculiar, and files with just one layer, created at the same time, open fine. Also, iPhoto will generally open psd files, and even display one with layers correctly (as if it had been flattened), but will not handle files with alpha channels very gracefully, nor will Preview. The GIMP has no problem with layers nor alpha channels.

  • How to install adobe photoshop elements 12 and adobe premiere elements 12 on a computer with no cd drive?

    Hi
A few months ago I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 12 and Adobe premiere elements 12 to my old laptop. But a few weeks ago I had to buy a new computer and that one has no cd drive :S How can I install my  programs on my new computer?
    Thank you

There isn't much good news to offer.  The first mention below is probably your only shot without purchase, unless you could find someone to transfer licenses with.
You won't be able to install a Windows version on the Mac unless you install some Windows emulation software on the Mac.
You won't be able to activate a Mac version of the software on the machine because your license/serial number is only valid for Windows.
CS5 is too old to qualify for a platform swap and Adobe no longer sells CS5 so you would have to take your chances with a third party vendor if you decided to purchase a Mac version.
Just to clarify, there is no such thing as a student version of the software... the license dictates the status of the software.  So you won't be able to find a student version either

  • Advice needed on suitability and hardware requirements...

    Hiya folks...
I'm after a bit of advice...regarding whether or not Aperture will be suitable for me, considering my current Apple hardware and my current "workflow".
I'm fairly new to digital SLR photography (hobbyist only)...but have had a variety of non-SLR digital cameras over the years.
I shoot in raw and jpeg, maybe about 100 shots when I go out (landscape and general outdoor shots mainly, some wildlife). After I have deleted the stinkers, I'm usually left with 30-50 decent shots that I keep...my iPhoto library has about 1000 images that I like, and I'm assuming that Aperture wouldn't have performance issues with a library of that size, on my hardware.
From the library, I create web galleries, print out to A3 (max...usually 8"x6", some A4) and create photo slideshows on DVD/CD media.
I've been using a mixture of iPhoto, Photoshop Elements 3, and Photoshop CS.
iPhoto for photo import and organisation ; Photoshop Elements 3 for raw image manipulation, and minor tweaks ; Photoshop CS for the bulk of image processing. (The raw images produced by my camera, a Nikon D50, are not supported with the Camera raw plugin for Photoshop CS.)
Having to utilise 3 separate programs does grate after a while...and ideally, I would like to use a single program.
Aperture sounded ideal, but the £350 price is a little steep for a program that I may end up using as "iPhoto-on-steroids".
An alternative would be to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS2...although I'm not sure whether my software would meet the upgrade criteria...my copy of Photoshop CS was purchased via eBay (authentic CD, box and manuals), but the serial number, I later found out after purchase, has been distributed on P2P networks.
The combination of Adobe Bridge, the raw manipulation and editing features would mean, similar to Aperture, potentially a single program to cover all my needs.
    So my options are...
1.Purchase Aperture for £350, which may be unsuitable (overkill) for my use (although I'm sure that over time I would use its features more and more)
    2. Risk paying £150 for a Photoshop CS2 upgrade that may baulk at my dubious serial number for the "original" Photoshop CS.
    3. Keep with my current software workflow...but dropping Photoshop CS, as my conscience is shouting fairly loudly. I'd miss the curves feature, and be out of pocket to the tune of £125...but that's my fault for not assuming the eBay offer was too good to be true...
    4. Any other alternatives...?
So...knowing my "workflow", usage and requirements...can anyone offer any advice?
    Thanks for your time.
    iMac G5 (20" Rev B)   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   2GB RAM

Rob, I'll take a quick shot at this for you.
I'm fairly new to digital SLR photography (hobbyist
only)...but have had a variety of non-SLR digital
    cameras over the years.
First, welcome to digital SLR photography.
I shoot in raw and jpeg, maybe about 100 shots when I
go out (landscape and general outdoor shots mainly,
some wildlife). After I have deleted the stinkers,
I'm usually left with 30-50 decent shots that I
keep...my iPhoto library has about 1000 images that I
like, and I'm assuming that Aperture wouldn't have
performance issues with a library of that size, on my
    hardware.
You shouldn't have any performance problems with a library this size.
From the library, I create web galleries, print out
    to A3 (max...usually 8"x6", some A4) and create photo
    slideshows on DVD/CD media.
I've been using a mixture of iPhoto, Photoshop
    Elements 3, and Photoshop CS.
Sounds pretty standard so far (except for using both Elements and CS).
iPhoto for photo import and organisation ; Photoshop
Elements 3 for raw image manipulation, and minor
tweaks ; Photoshop CS for the bulk of image
processing. (The raw images produced by my camera, a
Nikon D50, are not supported with the Camera raw
    plugin for Photoshop CS.)
Pretty much the same thing I have done (only I use PS CS2 for everything). One note. If you are considering Aperture, I would strongly suggest that you put some samples of your images on a flash card and take them down to somewhere that has Aperture loaded and available for evaluation. Judge for yourself how Aperture handles your images. This is what I did with my D2X images and was happy with the results.
Having to utilise 3 separate programs does grate
after a while...and ideally, I would like to use a
    single program.
Keeping in mind that Aperture was never meant to be a replacement for either Elements or Photoshop. It does offer some correction capabilities, but more along the lines of Adobe Camera Raw (though not as full featured.) Also, there have been a number of posts here where people have noted that the adjustments that they are making in Aperture aren't as good as with ACR. I can't see any difference on my system using my D2X files.
Aperture sounded ideal, but the £350 price is a
little steep for a program that I may end up using as
    "iPhoto-on-steroids".
Again, I HIGHLY recommend you go somewhere where Aperture is loaded and you have the chance to use it yourself to see if it is indeed "ideal", before you buy.
An alternative would be to upgrade to Adobe Photoshop
CS2...although I'm not sure whether my software would
meet the upgrade criteria...my copy of Photoshop CS
was purchased via eBay (authentic CD, box and
manuals), but the serial number, I later found out
after purchase, has been distributed on P2P
    networks.
This, I can't help you with.
The combination of Adobe Bridge, the raw manipulation
and editing features would mean, similar to Aperture,
potentially a single program to cover all my needs.
As I noted, I have CS2. I still use Bridge and ACR. In fact, prior to getting Aperture, Bridge was the answer to my organizational prayers, letting me easily sort through shots from a shoot to get the few I really wanted to keep. To me, adding Bridge and upgrading ACR in CS2 was worth the upgrade cost of the program.
    So my options are...
1.Purchase Aperture for £350, which may be unsuitable
(overkill) for my use (although I'm sure that over
time I would use its features more and more)
True. But, you need to determine if it is for you now.
    2. Risk paying £150 for a Photoshop CS2 upgrade that
may baulk at my dubious serial number for the
    "original" Photoshop CS.
Again, I can't help you here.
    3. Keep with my current software workflow...but
dropping Photoshop CS, as my conscience is shouting
fairly loudly. I'd miss the curves feature, and be
out of pocket to the tune of £125...but that's my
fault for not assuming the eBay offer was too good to
    be true...
    Your call.
    4. Any other alternatives...?
Maybe someone else has one to offer.
    Good luck.
