Photoshop cc stalls on instalation
I've tried 3 times and it sometimes gets to 74% and does not finish installing. Any ideas ?
Operating system? Desktop application manager version?

I have photoshop 6 on a dead pc laptop with windows XP. Have a pc laptop that has been upgraded from Vista 64 bit (where phootshop 6 wouldn't install) to windows 7 professional 32 bit (clean install). Photoshop still won't install. Also having reinstallation issues with pse6 on this same pc. Pse6 was installed and working on vista 64bit version of the OS, now won't install on rebuilt windows professional 7 32bit (keeps giving me serial number not valid errors). Adobe Photoshop CS6 will not install on my Mac. Adobe Application Manager is seeing the Beta version of Photoshop CS6 on my machine.
I have unistalled/deleted any previous versions of the software, and used the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner tool to flush my machines. Sadly,
I am still getting the following error:

you can try to login to Root user account and then run the cleaner tool , and then check. -

In the end it was the NVIDIA software - excluding PS as application for support by high performance graphic processor to save energy - activated NVIDIA card use for PS & LR all fine now.

What version of Mac OS are you using? What is the exact name of the file which you are double clicking on? If you right click on the file and select Get Info what does it state under the Open With section?

I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium (Teacher and Student Edition). I've purchased the upgrade to Adobe Photoshop CS6 - Trying to install, and it says the Adobe CS6 is valid - but only provides 'photoshop' options for entering my old serial number, rather than the adobe creative suite. How do I move past this so I can download it on my computer. I don't want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 6 - as I do not need all the programs, just photoshop. From looking online, I read forums that said this was possible. Please advise

Unfortunately that option is not possible.
You cannot upgrade a Creative Suite to a standalone product.
Creative Suites can only be upgrades to other Creative Suites.
You'll need to return Photoshop CS6 upgrade since you cannot use it.
Return, cancel, or exchange an Adobe order
Some options:
Buy a Creative Suite upgrade, or
Buy a full new copy of Photoshop CS6, or
Join the Cloud -

Yes you can, if you are happy with the way PSE12 is running.
However both apps will happily co-exist, and there is no duplication as both use the same images on your hard drive.
PSE10 also has some features now removed from PSE12 as Adobe transitions towards 64 bit applications. See my PSE12 first look link:

Exactly what type of "file"? Are you sure it's not a folder containing the installation? If not, what happens when you double click on it.
How much available hard disk space do you have left and what is the total capacity of your boot drive? How much RAM. -
Photoshop CS6 is not installing properly and i am unable to locate the application
HELP ME!!!! My trial Photoshop CS6 is not installing properly and i am unable to locate and open the application on my mac. I am just going around in circles from file to file and back to the starting "intall" icon
I am on the Adobe Download Assistant. It was stuck at "less than a minute" for an hour and a half, showing that the installation was basically done, since the installation bar was full. But it was stuck. Now it has stopped all together, and is restarting the download from scratch.
Apparently it does not save the download, or only saves a small portion.

It is at 85.6 MB, even though a short time ago it was close to 99.9% done with the 6,352 MB download.
My internet connection is fine, all is working, and I am able to browse, etc.

The conflicts are with the Adobe Download Assistant.
I amabout ready to just give up, and look for alternatives.

If you mean you have a new Mac then CS2 is far too old to be useable. CS2 is only compatible with old PowerPC Macs and won't work at all on Intel Processor Macs.
