Photoshop CC vs photoshop Elements : Subscription ?

I am in interested in the special off with Photoshop CC and Lightroom pay monthly.  I am actually looking for Photoshop Elements and Light Room so i like to know if I can use CC in place of Elements, is this a good idea.
Secondly I like to subscribe monthly mainly because i like to use my desktop and laptop. will my subscription allow me to use them as i needed to?

The special subscription is for LR and CC the subscription is for a year and can be renewed you pay monthly. If you drop the special subscription you can not renew the special. You can install the products on as many machines as you own however only two machines can be activated at and given time. CC has many more features then elements. You would choose CC over element if your alright with subscriptions.

  • Is the Photoshop Elements and Premier elements bundle a one year subscription? Or do I only need to buy it once?

Is the Photoshop Elements and Premiere bundle a one year subscription? Will I need to buy it again eventually?  As a student, I would like to only have to buy it once and be done.

    What 99jon said.
There is no subscription version of Elements. Are you perhaps confusing Elements with the Adobe Creative Cloud?

  • Is PhotoShop Elements available as part of the Creative Cloud subscription?

I currently have a Creative Cloud for teams monthly subscription, but I'd like to get Photoshop Elements.  Do I need to purchase that separately, or am I able to download it as part of my subscription?

    Hi,
Photoshop Elements is not a part of the Creative cloud and needs to purchased separately.

  • Photoshop going subscription-only; please do NOT do this with Elements...

    Hi all,
As some of you may heard already, Adobe is switching Photoshop to a subscription-only service.
For the love of all that's holy, please tell me Adobe is not planning to do this with Photoshop Elements. (Right now, I know that's the plan; what about the future?) I'm just an enthusiast, not a pro.

Adobe has too much to loose from the backlash. Just watch the stock price.
No professional will let themselves be beholden to Adobe to access their artwork. Photoshop CC is a big gamble for Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe Systems. For many, CS6 will be the last revenue, Adobe ever gets.
Serif, Corel and Gimp are seeing a great opportunity.

  • New Mac: Why are CC and Photoshop Elements not working when Lightroom and Reader are fine

Last week I changed computers (swapping an old Mac for a 13-in MacBook Pro Retina running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. I copied all my data over to the new machine using Migration Assistant.
All programs work fine (including my copy of Lightroom 3 and Reader XI). But my CC and Photoshop Elements 10 do not. I have tried uninstalling both, but whenever I try to reinstall PE10 from its disk or download it just stops almost at the end. I then I get an "initiation failed" message, along with a request to download the now defunct "Support Advisor" app!
I cannot download Adobe Application Manager, or the CC desktop app either - for the former I get an "initiation failed" message, along with the "download Support Advisor" app" message again! For the latter I get a message saying "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." Then I get a message and a link to download Creative Cloud. Then when I've downloaded it and I click on the installer... it runs for a bit and then I get the message again: "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." And I get a prompt and link to download the CC app. Guess what happens next? And so it goes on. And on and on, in a tedious circle.
This is incredibly annoying and frustrating as I have work to do! Anyone have any ideas what's happening?
    Cheers
    K

do not use migration to install adobe programs.
you should uninstall and clean whatever you've done, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

  • TO AN ADMINISTRATOR OF PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS - GET ME OUTA HERE!!

There is something wrong with my Adobe and/or Adobe Forum sign up.  I cannot stop receiving emails from the Photoshop Elements Forum.  I have repeatedly clicked "stop emails" under notifications to no avail.  I am sure that I am on the Photoshop Elements page.  As far as I know I have not signed up for any other forums.
Barbara B. I have not tried your advice from your email below because I can't find where username>library>preferences is, to then delete com.adobe.Photoshop.Elements.plist, etc, per your suggestion.
Even so, it is ridiculous that you would have to go through that to kill a subscription.  Did I miss something that allows one to simply "unsubscribe" and start over?  I may very well have done this to myself somehow but again, there really should be an escape hatch where you can stop everything.
I want to stay connected, I just don't need to see every email from the forum now that my initial issue was resolved.  I had planned to simply visit the forum every now and then to see what I could learn. At this point I am afraid to have anything to do with it.
The unstoppable emails are being sent to [email protected] despite the fact that I have tried to obliterate any association with that email.  I even changed my name and email to a fake name with a disposable email account but I STILL get dozens of emails a day which again, are being sent to the former email address [email protected] .
Can and administrator, Adobe or someone please kill ANY AND ALL accounts associated with [email protected] , [email protected] , or any prefix associated with  @cowgarage.com, as well as anthing associated with the disposable email address [email protected]
    Thank you for your help,
David Anthony, now also known as the imaginary David Roberts

Oops, I see you posted that info. Okay, go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.Photoshop.Elements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 settings
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 paths
    Opera preferences
    Repair permissions and try again.

    Hi,
I'm not an administrator... just another user.
Here's what I did to stop all e-mails. This method requires you be signed into the online web forum.
First, make sure the envelope is clicked in the right hand pane under actions. If e-mails are currently stopped, the envelope will say "receive e-mail notifications" If it says that, leave it alone.
Above has e-mail notifications turned off for the Photoshop Elements forum. (Not sure but you might have to do this for each forum for which you are subscribed unless you shut it off in the preferences. See next step.
Next, click on "Your Stuff" in the menu bar...on the menu bar that should in your case say Welcome, DavidRobertsdc3.
Click on Preferences in the drop down menu.
In the dialog that comes up change the settings under E-mail Notification Preferences to "NO" for both options; then hit the "Save" button.

Hi I have the old photo shop elements 10 on my computer and want to update and was wondering what the differences between photoshop, lightroom and photoshop elements are?
Also when I upgrade does it have to be with a monthly membership or can I just purchase the product out right like you use to be able?

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.
The Photoshop Elements forum is at:
    https://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements/content
Remember, you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
I do not know where there is such a comparison table as you seek, but someone else might, or you can google.

  • Lightroom vs Photoshop Elements Organizer

I don't know Lightroom, but a friend suggested it as a solution to my problem, so here goes:
I have a subscription to CC (and have used Creative Suite for years). I use CC at work, but for my personal, non-work photos, I have always used Photoshop Elements Organizer, because I have never found its equal -- as an organizer. Also, I have invested a massive amount of effort into tagging every photo (about 30,000 images, more than 10 years' worth) with keywords.
I have no interest in Photoshop Elements' other features. I have CC for anything that PSE does that I care to do.
However, I don't really want to keep shelling out for PSE, since I'm already paying (have paid) about a zillion dollars to Adobe over the years for Creative Suite and now CC.
So here's the question: Can I use Lightroom (or Bridge, perhaps) as a substitute for PSE Organizer? Does either program import PSE Organizer's catalogs? Because unless I can import what I've got, no other organizer will do it for me.
I'd also consider another organizer product if it could import PSE catalogs, but I'm hoping there's a little gem of a program already in CC that I'm not aware of that will do the trick.
    TIA.

I don't use the face recognition tags in PSE, but I think that those will not transfer to Lightroom, as there is no way to accomodate face recognition tags in Lightroom.
    Earlier you said
However, I don't really want to keep shelling out for PSE, since I'm already paying (have paid) about a zillion dollars to Adobe over the years for Creative Suite and now CC.
so why keep paying for PSE upgrades? There are rarely any new "organizing" features in PSE. Just keep using the version you have, you can probably use it for many years until your operating system won't support older versions of PSE. My PSE 5 still runs under Windows 7 and I have heard that PSE 5 runs under Windows 8.

  • Problems with Adobe Photoshop Elements 11

I recently purchased the above and I am having problems with colour. When trying to work with a photo the colours are not true to the original. I have checked the inks and have checked the printer. When copying somthing staight from the printer the colours are perfect. I have only had this problem since I installed the above. What can I do to rectify this problem. Cheers. J Briggs.

  • Product information - photoshop elements and photoshop cc

    Dear Sirs!
My brother (student - polytechnical school) and I (Student - university) are very interested in your products
Photoshop CC and Photoshop Elements 13.
What would you recommend and what are the distinctions?  Would there be a possibilty to buy one of this two products once for 2-3 laptops/PCs
and in the Student and Teacher Edition? (no monthly subscription)
Thank you very much in advance for your kindly help!!
    Kind regards
    Kerstin

Could you clarify...what is not opening -  Photoshop Elements AND Premiere Elements or just one or the other?
How did you install these programs, from installation files obtained online from Adobe OR from installation disc from a boxed bundled packaging of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements? Do you have purchased serial numbers or are you dealing with the tryouts?
Please excuse the question, but I do not want to take anything for granted...are you making a distinction between download and install if you are working from installation files obtained onlien from Adobe. In the latter case, after the download, you need to install the program(s) from the Setup.exe that comes with each of the programs.
Please supply more information and then we can decide on the appropriate troubleshooting strategy.
    Thanks.
    ATR

  • Upgrade or Full Version-Photoshop Elements

It appears that the upgrade to Photoshop Elements 12 is more expensive than the full version.  Is there any reason I shouldn't just purchase the full version?  Will my files transfer?

Thank you. After a frustrating conversation with sales at Adobe ( wanted to sell me a subscription) I found the full version download even cheaper at Amazon.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Register and reinstall a preinstalled installation of photoshop elements 10

I got my Photoshop Elements ver 10 preinstalled when I bought my Acer computer some time ago. Now I want to register Elements because I need to reinstall my computer and then I need to install Elements 10 again in order not to loose any of the work of organizing my photos.
    How do I register it?
Where can I find a download file to use for reinstallation?
Anything I should think about doing it?

First I would try using the preferred uninstaller, which is the installer from your original media (disc or dmg). When you get to where it says Install Components, choose Remove Components instead.
If that still fails, try running cleanscript and then removing things manually:
