Photoshop CC - where art thou?

Hi!I would like to install Photoshop CC on my machine. I don't see it in 'APPS' on my Creative Cloud desktop though. All I see is Photoshop CC 2014 - which I have installed and will not open some of my work files (which were created in Photoshop CC). Can you tell me where to get Photoshop CC?

  • IOS 5.0.2, where art thou?

What happened to iOS 5.0.2? In late november, Apple announced that it had put the updat on hold, due to memory leaks in the coding. But since then, we have heard nothing. It's been 2 months since then, and it appears that iOS 5.0.2 has become a ghost, and all the people with an iPhone 4S are left with a phone that eats it battery. Anyone got any answers as to when this will be fixed?

Not necessarily - Apple has issued security related minor updates while a more major update was in beta.  Also, the existence of 5.1beta has never been publicly announced by Apple and discussion of it is prohibited here.

I want to learn editing in photoshop, from where should I start?

Jon has sent you to the right place, but I prefer a slight change to the location
    http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-photoshop-cc/
Perhaps start with Jon's page because it focuses on novice users, but the list in my link will let you chose things specific to your requirements.  I always think it is good to learn the things you will use over and over, because Photoshop is definitely a Use it or Lose it kind of application.
    Good luck and have fun.

  • Just updated CC 2014, Photoshop launches with message to run Photoshop Installer: where is this?

On updating Photoshop CC 2014 and launching I get a dialog, "One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for sunning Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and reinstall Photoshop."
    Where is Photoshop Installer?
This update also wiped all my extensions without warning, not so cool Adobe.

Sometimes uninstalling old versions can take out common files. I uninstalled CS4 only to get errors with CS6. I had to reinstall CS6 to get rid of the errors.
In any case you may want to keep/install CC for a while. The extensions technology has changed and what ran in CC, won't in CC 2014.
If you depend on your legacy extensions, at least you want to hold on to CC until they are updated. And of course if any glitches show up in 2014.2 and future updates, you may want CC as a backup until it's corrected.
I may have missed some details, so these links should help you.

  • BLOJSOM, WEBLOGS - where for art thou??

    Hi all.
We host a large amount of data including video, audio, and text via the *Weblogs service* on an XServe currently running Mac OS X 10.4.11 Server, and are considering upgrading the server to Mac OS X 10.5.
However... Apple decided to dump this with Leopard's introduction, which leaves us looking for alternatives.
Could anyone who has been through this situation tell me what you did to resolve it?
    eg.,
    1. Is there a guide hidden in the deep depths that tells how to get our Weblogs (aka Tomcat/Blojsom) working under 10.5?
    2. Is there an equivalent you found to be a suitable replacement?
Features we are would love to have, listed in order of importance:
    - Something that ties into Apple Open Directory as that is what we use to control access right now.
    - Allows blog owners/admins to upload their own material including video, audio, and text.
    - Maintains a similar URL structure.
    - Non-Apple and open source so that we can be more certain it will be available for deployment under Mac OS X 10.6 and beyond as well.
    Cheers,
    Mark

I'm aware Blojsom is available at wiki.blojsom.com. I am of the understanding that Apple's implementation is a somewhat hacked version and that they are not directly compatible.
Do you know how to modify the original Blojsom to use Apple Open Directory?
If the answer is yes, then that gives us a possibility moving forward.
    Cheers,
    Mark

  • Just bought a mac book pro and want to install photoshop CC where do I begin? I have it on my PC already

I have had CC on my PC from the very start. I love it, but now I have a macbook pro and would like to put photoshop cc here. I was told when I signed up I could put it on up to 3 devices, I can't seem to find the help I need to download it. there is no photoshop on my mac. Where do I start?

Whether or not you can swap your Windows version for a Mac version depends on which version of Photoshop you purchased.  Platform swaps are allowed onlly for the most recent product release, which is currently CS6.  Here is the information you need if you purchased CS6...
Order product | Platform, language swap
If you need to purchase, CS6 is the only Creative Suite version being sold.  You can also subscribe to the Creative Cloud as an alternative to purchasing a license.

  • Photoshop CC – Where can I find "Generate/web assets"?

On MAX there was a demonstration of a new comman to be found unter menu "File/Generate/Web-Assets?
Am I blind? Where can I find this command?

According to Photoshop Help, that feature is still a work in progress.
The MAX demo was a preview of something we are working on. This feature is not part of Photoshop CC yet. We plan to ship this feature later this year.

  • I want to monetary youtube videos with photoshop tutorials - where can I find the written authority to do so?

    Hi everybody.
I would like to upload some tutorials videos about Photoshop and Dreamweaver to youtube but youtube is asking for the written authority to do so (What kind of content can I monetize? - YouTube Help). They say:
"Whether you can show software user interfaces in a video submitted for monetization depends on the commercial use rights granted to you by the license of the software. In some cases, you may need a contract with the publisher or proof that you have paid a licensing fee."
Where can I get the written document to proof that I can. I read the whole License agreement and could find nothing about thatr matter. Than for 1 hour I was searching a Adobe Mail Adderess to ask my question, but I only found here the forum. So I ask my Question to you now. Where can I find that I'm allowed to upload tutorial videos and monetary them.
If you could help me this would be perfect.

  • Tools/Menu Items in Photoshop 6 ("Where is the * Tool now?")

So, you've been working with Photoshop 5.0 or 5.5 and you are used to seeing the tools laid out before you in a certain way. Now you install Photoshop 6.0 and your entire interface is messed up. Where IS everything??
Once you get into using Photoshop 6.0, you'll find that it's not really messed up. The most frequently used items are laid out for easier and quicker access.
Below is a list of some of the most frequently (and not so frequently) asked questions concerning the location of your favorite tools.

    >
    TOOLBOX TOOLS
    Crop Tool
It's graduated from the Rectangular Marquee pop out menu to it's own button-third one down on the left. Whoohoo!
    Gradient tool
It's no longer hiding behind the Eyedropper Tool. It has its own button, which hides the Paint Bucket tool.
    Line Tool
It's now listed behind the Custom Shape Tool. You can access this by holding down on the Custom Shape Tool Button until the Line Tool pops out.
    Liquify
    Under the Image Menu.
    Measure Tool
It's in the Eyedropper Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Eyedropper Tool until the Measure Tool appears.
    Paint Bucket
It's in the Gradient Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Gradient Tool until the Paint Bucket Tool appears.
    Pencil Tool
It's in the Brush Tool flyout. You can access this by clicking and holding down on the Brush Tool until the Pencil Tool appears.
    Rubber Stamp
It's there. It's been renamed the "Clone Stamp".
    Type Masks
They are now a part of the Options Bar.

  • I'm having an error in Photoshop CS6 where the numbers in boxes (like image size width) are changing on their own. Can someone please help me figure this out?

This was happening all the time on my old 2006 iMac, and I thought that when I upgraded to a new computer it would go away. No such luck.
Sometimes the program works just fine, and other times I have this error. I haven't been able to pinpoint what is causing it.
Basically what happens is, I will try to type a number in the box to edit the size of the image (or sharpness, etc. something that requires you to enter a number), and as soon as my mouse hovers over the box, the numbers start changing on their own. As soon as I move the mouse away, the problem stops, but of course this means that I am unable to type in the number that I want.
I've tried unplugging my mouse and keyboard - that doesn't change anything.
Has anyone run into this issue before?
    Btw, I use a 2013 iMac, OS version 10.9.5
(I have a video clip of this problem, but I don't know how to share it here)

Your task is hardly a case for Photoshop: replacing text accurately in a scanned, not even
    straightened image.
    My recommendations:
    a) put a crossreference list on each page
       or
    b) straighten the scans and improve the contrast, both by Photoshop.
Then apply a program which converts images of text into machine coded text
by OCR - Optical Character Recognition , for instance Abbyy Finereader
       http://finereader.abbyy.de/professional/?adw=google_eu&gclid=CMirrcCMx7MCFZHRzAodlisAJg
(I'm not related to the manufacturer of this software, I'm just a user).
In coded text it's easy to replace isolated character groups as required.
Best regards and good luck --Gernot Hoffmann

  • Installing PhotoShop CS6 where CS2 was installed.

As an infrequent user of Photoshop, I have had CS updated to CS2 on my computer. I attempted a install of CS6 from the distribution disk without uninstalling.  It has not installed properly. The control panel shows that CS, CS2 and CS6 are now installed.  CS2 still comes up but I have not gotten CS6 to come up.  Must I uninstll all three of these and start over?  Should I remove the activations as I do the uninstalls?

If your system supports CS and CS2 I have to think it would not be new enough to be able to support CS6.
Check the tech specs for CS6 and make sure your machine is sufficient for it.
