Photoshop CC will not finish installing

I recently downloaded CC and Lightroom and Photoshop installed without a problem. Then, an update was identified for Photoshop. It seemed to download and install fine until the end. It never finished the update process.
I've restarted my Windows 8.1 computer many times and opened and closed CC apps many times since then. They all work fine. Every time I start up the computer, CC tells me I have an app with a pending update and it shows this screen.
How can I get the update to complete? Thank you for any assistance you can offer!

  • Will not finish install

A bit frustrated. Logic x will not finish install. Interface appears to come up and ask for previous  session. After which the ubiquitous spinning wheel. Have read other posts advising to install in safe mode but did not resolve the problem. Wondering if any other suggestions concerning MIDI drivers or the like interfering with and sell? Have been using logic nine many years now. Have never run into such a problem. Thanks for any help.

Another point...when I try to close the frozen install window "cancel" or the red close button usually doesn't work, thus I have to go into task manager and do it that way. When trying to install the program again, it always says "Quicktime could not install, iTunes needs quick time." Then goes on to give me another error message: "another program is installing, try again later." I then have to go into Task manager (processes) again and end "QuickSet, iTunes Setup (Elevated), and iTunes helper. I am not even sure what these are...

I have the latest IOS on my iPhone. Help!  I love Open Table and want to be able to access it.

    Hi Kurtsfan,
If you can't update from the phone itself, please try updating the app on your computer and sync it from there.

If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.

When trying to install Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro on my iMac running 10.9.4, the install will not finish and hangs when installer indicates "running package scripts". Any ideas on how to resolve?

  • Update 8.1.0 will not finish install

Hello all! I'm running Acrobat 8.1.0 Std on a Win 2003 Server Terminal Server. I am getting errors Event ID 1000 that says:
Faulting application ds4.exe, version 4.99.1.0, faulting module msvcrt.dll, version 7.0.3790.3959
So I open Acrobat > Help > check for updates and it starts a 6 MB download of V8.1.3 Standard Update.
This seems to unpack and copy files then pops up "Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3 Standard Update failed to install."
This generates an EventID 11708 that says:
Product: Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard - English, Français, Deutsch -- Installation failed.
And an EventID 1023 that says:
Product: Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard - English, Français, Deutsch - Update '{AC76BA86-A660-0000-2550-7A8C40000000}' could not be installed. Error code 1624. Additional information is available in the log file C:\DOCUME~1\richm\LOCALS~1\Temp\21\MSI418d6.LOG.
    That log file tells me:

Some other posts in this forum suggested downloading the stand-alone version of the 8.1.3 update, which I did. When I run AcrobatUpd813_all_incr.msp is pops up "The upgrade patch connot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program."
When I try to get support it tells me the Product Key is invalid, yet under Acrobat Help > Activation both the "Activate" and "Deactivate" options are greyed out. When I tried Adobe Tech Support Chat they told me to call support 800-642-3623 and could not offer any help at all.
I'm thinking of trying to uninstall and reinstall late-night when nobody is on the server and then try the updates again. But I'm afraid my key will be bad and my users won't have the Acrobat to use the next morning and I certainly don't want to buy a another version if I already have a registered version!
Anybody have any ideas on the .exe error or the .dll error or how to work around these install/upgrade issues? Or how to resolve the activation error?
I'm all ears! Only thing is I have a small time window late-night if I need to reboot.
    Thanks in advance :-)

okay, I will try to help you.... which program from microsoft needs updating? Maybe you need to go to microsoft's website and download from there *making sure you have chosen to save it where-ever, then run it* As for your emails, I don't know. Save your incoming and outgoing email settings, then delete your old user account, set up a new one, typing in needed info where appropriate. I think there is also a spam/junk filter in there somewhere.  Perhaps you need to talk to your ISP (internet Service Provider) to see what they can do.  I have never heard of someone being hacked into thru email
oh, and one last thing. This is a common mis-understanding. This part of the Apple forum is for Mac Pro's ( the big desktop towers) and you have a macbook Pro,  which is portable. If you can please post your question in the appropriate forum, that we may be able to help you better
    thank you

  • 7.7 will not finish install process on Vista

7.7 will get through most of the install process (even the "registering modules" portion) and right at the end, when the status bar is all the way to the right, it just freezes. No error sign or pop-up window, the "next" button is grey'd out, it merely does nothing...just never quite finishes. I have read through some of the articles; made sure that I am the admin; checked the windows firewall; made sure the screen resolution is correct, and even went through my norton antivirus to see if anything raised a red flag, which to my knowledge didn't.
    Any suggestions?
The same thing happens when I try to load the new version of quicktime only (without iIunes)....

  • Boot Camp will not finish install

I just bought my first my first Mac Pro 2.4 8 Core with RAID and Lion OS. I can not get Boot Camp to fully finish the install of Windows 7. I get stuck at when the screen ask for which location to install, NO locations in the window. I called APPLE twice and Microsoft once and no help from neither. Any suggestions ? Does RAID have anything to do with it?

If you bought an Apple Pro RAID hardware controller, you can't install Windows.
And the card isn't worth it even if that wasn't an issue, it is, and there is a tech note:
    http://www.apple.com/support/macpro - RAID FAQ
Anyone at Apple should have known.
That card has only supported drives of under 2.2TB also.
I would have advised on fast 4 or 6-core rather than slower 2.4.

  • HT4623 Apps will not finish installing or updating

Apps on my I pad never finish updating or installing. It has been serval days and my apps are still updating. What can I do to get them to install?2

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • SBC 's DSL will not finish installing

We've installed SBC's DSL software and done the wiring as instructed, but according to SBC techs, after restarting, the software isn't full installing. They don't know why. When we launch Internet Explorer, the watch just spins forever. Help.

Speaking from experience, I never had the need for the SBC software. I always had it loaded on the machine, but I was just interested in having the online access. With the capability of DSL, there are a host of applications provided by Apple that utilize the service in the same way as SBC's software. It is not necessary to load the software provided just to get the DSL service. After reformatting all of my drives, I opted not to use the SBC install CDROM.
If it is something you need however, You can try to reload making sure no other application is running. I also noticed you are running OS9. You have probably already checked that you have the correct version of the install software. Over and above that, I am not able to think of anything else that would make your CDROM not work in your machine, sorry!
Or you can manually configure it in the TCP/IP seetings in your control panels.

  • Applications will not finished installing

I have downloaded Pocket Informant and when I go to install on my Tour it says downloading for over 1 day.  I have deleted and tried to reinstall after rebooting and the same thing happens.  I tried this with BBM (which disappeared after downloading pocket informant) as well and am having the same problem.  Has anyone experienced this and if so, how did you resolve it?
    Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
If you are doing this via AppWorld (you didn't say...), please clear the application cache:
    1. Open App World
    2. Go to My World
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Storm/Pearl -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
4a. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
    Then try your install again
Hopefully it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Photoshop CS4 will not launch after installing Yosemite.

Photoshop CS4 will not launch after installing Yosemite. All the other CS4 apps open. I upgraded Java. Genius Bar could not get it to launch.

Here's the fix I found, by way of an explanation...
Snow Leopard prompted me on my first startup with the following error:
"There is a conflict with the _______ font file. This font file contains a font name that conflicts with a system font required by Mac OS X to display onscreen text. You should move this font file to the Trash."
The fonts it said were conflicting: Helvetica, HelveticaNeue.dfont, Lucida Grande, and Monaco. I figured Snow Leopard probably wanted to replace these fonts with newer versions, and so I clicked "Move to Trash" on all four.
Apparently 10.6 trashed these fonts but didn't replace them. This was causing Photoshop to crash on load.
So I restored my ~/Library/Fonts folder from a backup made just before upgrading and this time after a reboot I said "Allow Conflict" on all four dialog boxes and launched Photoshop... everything is back to normal!
Not sure what kind of "conflict" it's referring to, but apparently moving these font files to the trash as OS X prompted me to do broke a number of apps. Should I report this as a bug?
    Thanks for the ideas!
