Photoshop CC won't start downloading.

I have already purchased Adobe Creative Cloud Photography, and I am verified. When I try to download Photoshop CC or Lightroom, the download won't even start even thought it says its downloading.

Are you using the "Creative Cloud" app to download?
Here is the CC download help page:

  • Error message Photoshop CS6 won't start in Windows 7

I am unable to start Photoshop in Windows 7 (64 bit Home Premium). I gegt an error message saying Photoshop CS6 won't start and telling me to close the program. Is this a common problem and is there a solution? I have tried opening the program in safe mode and tried a clean boot all without success.

cannot find photoshop elements 8 to start download. what next
my serial says it does;t work with Version 9… so it must be for version 8, which I cannot locate to download.
what do I do now ????

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

As far as version 9 goes, if you never purchased it you shouldn't expect to be able to use it.  If you check your Adobe account online you might be able to find whatever version you purchased identified there.

  • I have a used iMac, HD wiped, OS 10.6.8 freshly installed w/Rosetta, Photoshop Elements won't start saying "could not complete because of missing or invalid personalization info." previous owner's name still there preventing initialing?

I have a used iMac, HD wiped clean, OS 10.6.8 freshly installed w/Rosetta, Photoshop Elements was installed but won't start saying "could not complete because of missing or invalid personalization info." is previous owner's name somehow still there preventing initialing?  How do I remove and install my own?  I don't understand as HD was completely wiped with no OS when I got it.

I think Adobe allows their software to be installed on 2 computers only. However, if say you buy another computer and wish to install PSE on the new computer ( effectively a 3rd computer as far as Adobe is concerned ) PSE needs to be properly uninstalled ie not simply by uninstalling using the operating system's uninstall process. It needs to be uninstalled using the Adobe uninstall process that is contained within the software.
You should then be given a prompt as to whether you will be reinstalling on the same computer or if you wish to remove altogether. If the latter, then all traces are removed and the software can be (re) installed on the new computer.
If, unknown to yourself, the software had been installed on 2 computers and although you or the previous may have wiped the hard drive clean, as far as Adobe is concerned the software is still ' registered / assigned ' to 2 computers.
If the previous owner bought a new computer and installed their PSE on it, wiped the hard drive clean without properly uninstalling/removing PSE thentherein probably lies the prblem.
As Allan Jones said, it 's probably worth your while to purchase your own copy.
    Hope this helps.

  • Photoshop elements won´t start

Hallo Adobe Photoshop elements 12 won´t start. The editor does not start, the organizer has no problmes. I have reinstall the programm (sorry is english is not so good) because i had installed new hardware. (Mainboard, CPU, RAM). After restarting the systems the programm worked fine. After some days elements was only in trial-mode. First I irgnired it but then i deinstalled it an  reinstalled it on a new ssd. Installing and entering the CD-Key was no problem. Organizer launched without any problems but the photoeditor does not start. Log-Files are okay, no errors while install-progress. I did everything, reinstalling, using ccleaner and i tried to delete manuelly everything with "photshop elements" in the regestry (with new installation after that....).
Running the setup und the exe as admin did´nt help.
has anybody a solution for me or  a direkt link to contact adobe?

try uninstalling, cleaning (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and then installing.

  • App Store won't start download the OS X Yosemite free upgrade

I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch mid 2012. My current MacOS is OS X 10.6.8.
I didn't get to upgrade to OS X 10.9 when there was the free upgrade because I forgot to download it.
Now I want to download the OS X 10.10 but when I click the "Get" button or "Free Upgrade" button, the license agreement won't come out and the download won't start. It just stay the same even after I clicked the button.
    What should I do?

I am having the same problem. I have a 15" MBP from mid-2010 running 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).
    All updates have been applied.
When I go to the App Store, locate Yosemite and click on "download", nothing happens.
As an experiment, I tried installing other free apps from the App Store - I tried Kindle and
Memory Clean. Same issue - I click on "Install" and nothing happens.
Still digging - open to advice.
    Thanks

The App won't download. I deleted some stuff from my IPhone thinking it's a storrage issue but nothing helped. Please help. Thanks.

I suspect that many developers are ending app support for older devices.  It's probably time for an upgrade.
While that may be true... it's simply a mis-informed response at this time.
The iPhone 4 and 3GS are both still fully supported, as is the 3G.
If you have nothing useful to add, it is generally best to not comment.
    To the OP:
Does the device have a functional Internet connection, either Cellular data or Wi-Fi?
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

    Hey,
Read your issue, however something's i would like to know ,
1.When you started the installation any errors that you were getting (Please try to be specific).
2.While installation were you logged in using administrative right?
3.After installation did get a message that says that "done with errors".
4.When you launch the product do you see the splash screen, if yes could you mention the item that is being currently loaded when the product crashed.

  • Photoshop Cs6 won't start up.

Recently I have installed Photoshop Cs5 Beta, and I was actually satisfied with how it looked like.
But since yesterday whenever I start the  64 bit one (Tried the other one too) it takes like 15 minutes to load but when it tries to start up it tells me to find online help or close the program.
I tried the find help online but even there it popped up the same error as before, then after clicking twice it just closes by itself.
Does anyone know how to fix this? It worked perfectly fine before, but now it just has an unknown error.

I'll see if I can help out. First I need to get a little more information:
I assume you downloaded from this location: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/photoshopcs6/
and then after installation selected the TRY option. Is that correct? Were you able to get through that and enter your adobe id or did you skip the adobe id? (must be done within 7 days to keep the program running)
Since you saw the UI I assume you were able to launch the software  successfully. Did it crash immediately or did you open or create a file and do something first?
This is on a PC right? What operating system are you running?
What video board are you using?

  • Photoshop Elements won't start, closes, says no serial #

I had to get a new computer, mother board died. Old hard drive installed as d drive and all programs work fine except Photoshop Elements.
looks like it will start, asks me to agree to user agreement, I click agree and it says I did not and will shut down and also says my name and serial # can't be found or aren't valid or something and shuts down.
Chat won't help me but when I searched for help this topic is touched on and clearly states you can not fix yourself.
I am really stuck. I hope someone here can help me.

Try doing this and seeing if it works for you.

Select Adobe Photoshop CC from the list and click Uninstall.
    Click Uninstall
Allow the uninstaller to complete then click Close
    Mac:
Navigate to your /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installer folder
Double click on the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC uninstaller alias
    Click Uninstall

After Uninstall is complete, quit the Creative cloud App and re-launch it."
Photoshop should now be available for download/install.
Not sure if it will work, but figure its worth a try.

  • CS 5 extended trial won't start downloading

I went over to the download site to download the trial. Nothing happens if I click the button. I don't get an error, pop-up or anything. I went through the registration and it appears to have gone through, though it did hang on it.  I also downloaded the light room trial and that downloaded fine.  I'm confused why I'd have trouble downloading the photoshop cs5 extended trial. I checked my system requirements and it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm still wondering if this was a compatibility issue with my web browser. I use Opera.
    Version:
    10.62  Build 8437  Platform Mac OS X  System 10.6.4
Anyways, I got tired of waiting and trying to figure it out and used safari. When it gave me the option to log in, I logged in and then the download started. (I didn't get this option on Opera) I still don't know if anyone else uses Opera and has had trouble downloading certain things off the site.  I would have liked to hear more responses from the community about this issue.

  • Photoshop cs2 won't start

I am out of town.  I know that I have an old version of photoshop (CS2), but when I return home, I plan to buy a new computer and update photoshop to the latest version.
In the meantime, I'm having problems starting photoshop on windows xp.  When I start it, I get a window, "Adobe Photoshop CS2 has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience."  If I click, it gives technical information about the problem.
I've rebooted, and the same things happens.  If I were back home and had access to my install disks, I would reinstall.  Is there anything that I can do while I'm here in LA?
Thanks a lot for your help.

I did exactly what you said, but did not get a reset window.  Am I missing something?
You have to be VERY quick to get those keys down IMMEDIATELY after starting Photoshop from it's menu entry or shortcut, and it sometimes takes several tries.
