Photoshop creative suite 5.5; error message "stopped working"; twain install failed;

I am at the end of my rope, I am about ready to uninstall the whole thing and install Corel. With the latest update of Windows, my Photoshop stopped working. I tried to download and place the twain drivers that the directions told me to, but the download came with all kinds of "optional" plug ins and no directions on where to put them, do i put all of them in the Import/export folder, do i put only one in there, is so which one? I have windows 7 on an HP machine, I need my photoshop for obvious reasons. there are also hints to another file/folder like twain, but nothing about how to fix that either...

Hi everybody, we have the same problem. I work for university. We have to make a packeging for the Adobe CS4. I installed with administrator privilage, but the user for student isn't admin. Message came up when I opened programs... "Licensing for this product has stopped working: You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or adobe customer support for help."
The program for repackeging is Wise. I can put the admin privilage for adobe PCD and Macrovision Shared.
How can I do?
Thanks

  • Uninstalling creative suites 4 - with error messages

Hey.  I need help.  I got a new imac so I was transfering all my infor from my old macbook pro to the new one (took 40 plus hours!).  I go to edit some photos and when I go to open some there is an error message that pops up saying "Fatal error - missing components".  So I'm thinking that I should just uninstal and reinstall all my creative suites 4 programs and reinstal them.  But when I go into Photoshop one and uninstall it, it says that there is a startup error  and can't because of missing files.  What do I do to fix that?  And I tired opening files in illustrator too and same thing.
    Help!!
Oh and I'm not very good with all the tech stuff when it comes to computers, so yeah.
    Thanks!

Run the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, reinstall using the original download/ discs.

  • Creative Suite Color Settings Error Message

I have completely bought and installed Indesign CS5.5, Photoshop CS5 Extended and Illustrator CS5. The Adobe Bridge was of course installed with each of these packages. Now I try to setup one colour setting in Illustrator save it as required, than I start the Bridge, got to edit -> Creative Suite Colour Settings (just for synchronization) and I get a nice Error message, telling me that Colour Management can not be enabled.
My question now, do I really have to buy all theses software packages again in an adobe creative suite edition, or is it also possible to synchronize these settings if one buys this software applications separately?

That question is beyond me.  You might try posting this in the Creative Suite forum.  http://forums.adobe.com/community/creativesuites/creativesuites_windows

  • Creative suite CS3 lost Licensing and stopped working. support sent me to a site to download CS3 application but got error 404. How do I download?

Adobe support sent me to a  Photoshop suite CS3 site but when I clicked the download for mac option I was redirected to a site with an error 404.

    Download CS3 products
For anything beyond that you will have to be a lot more specific and provide proper system information or details like what browser you use.

  • Installation errors for Photoshop Creative Suite 4

I did not have success with any solutions suggested for this installation problem. Microsoft has since sent me a message telling me that this application is not compatible with my new computer (Toshiba running Windows 7).  It ran just fine on my HP (running Vista).  I tried using the Troubleshooting application to see if changing settings on my computer would help - it did not. That is when I submitted the problem to Microsoft and got the response that it is not compatible with my computer. Uggg!  Lotta money to spend on an application that becomes obsolete!

My apologies. Speaking out of frustration. I am a fairly good user, but technically, obviously lack some skills to appropriately find my way around this problem.
Here's as much information that I have:
My old computer was an HP Pavillion running Vista OS that I originally ran Adobe Photoshop Creative Suites 4 on with no issues.
I purchased a new computer last month - Toshiba Satellite S70-ABT3N22 Laptop
Processor is Intell Core i5-4200M Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.10GHz) with Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0
Microsoft Operating Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) with recovery media for Windows 8.1 Pro
    Memory is 12GB DDR3L  1600MHz SDRAM (8GB + 4GB)
Hard Disk Drive 1TB (5400 rpm, Serial ATA)
    Graphics Controller - Integrated Graphics
Display 17.3" diagonal widescreen HD+ (1600x900) TrueBrite LED Backlit display
    Wireless Lan & Bluetooth - Wi-Fi Wireless networking (802.11b/g/n) (150Mbps)
Microsoft Office Software Office Home & Business 2013
Anti-Virus Software: Norton Internet Security 2013
    1. When I first tried to install Photoshop, I got the error that stopped on RGB settings.
I then ran Adobe Support Advisor diagnostic and got this message:
I then tried the solution that was recommended - going into the color folder and removing the files, transfer them to a folder that I created on my desktop. However, the files would not cut, since they were in use.  They then recommended another solution - go into another folder, remove those files and try again. However, when I went to look for that folder, it did not exist.
This is when I went to the forum and asked if anyone had a solution.
Compatibility mode was suggested. I got further information on this and went through the process, launching the application Compatibility Mode. It asked me what system I had previously used to run Photoshop. I entered Vista. It reset my computer to be compatible with those settings and again I tried to install Photoshop. The installation stalled at the RGB.
I went back and tried Vista Service Pack 1, same result, Then Vista Service Pack 2, same result, then hit I don't know. Same result.  That's when I hit the send to Microsoft for further help and solutions.
That is when I got the message back from Microsoft that this Photoshop application was not compatible with this Windows 7 Operating system.
I hope this isn't too much, but it's what I have and hopefully I haven't offended anyone overmuch with my previous rant.
Thank you for your help and willingness to look into these matters for everyone.

Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite.  You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

From the error message it appears that you are facing difficulties with the Adobe Download Assistant.  The error message is related to Adobe AIR which the Adobe Download Assistant utilizes.  Please remove your current installation of Adobe Download Assistant and reinstall.  You can find more details under the known issues section of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Known_i ssues.

  • Creative Suite CS3 installation errors

    Hello,
I have installed my copy of Creative Suite CS3 several times on my PC. However, recently my PC was hit with a virus. I reinstalled Windows XP/SP2. When I now try to install Creative Suite, I get errors every time.
I've tried to install it now five times. The message that I'm getting is similiar to "component installation failed". (I'm recalling the message from memory.) I'm trying to put Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver on my machine, but this error appears with every application I attempt to install.
I'm not aware of any error log that Adobe is keeping with the installation process.
Does anyone have any suggestions? thanks.

  • Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message

I have Mac OS X 10.6.8 and updated Acrobat Pro to 9.5.1. All of the sudden (not anywhere near the time that I updated) I started getting the "Acrobat Suite Product Activation Error Message". Then it closes and quits.
Launching Photoshop (or having it open) does nothing. The other similar forum discussions seem to concern Lion, which I don't have yet. Solutions?

The Acrobat X Suite has Acrobat X not Acrobat 9 Pro.  So it begs the question do you have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?
