i found that photoshop crashes when opening existing project and crashes in cooltype font, did reinstall and delete preferences file, but found that when photoshop is open and you click on the type tool then open the project then it opesn fine
the computer doesnt have suitcase installed but will check the fonts
also it doesnt switch off the layers when clicked on the eye icon, i have to click somewhere on the image to disable the layer, any solutions? or is that also related to the fonts?

I try to import MP4, AVI, Real media but every time Photoshop stop working. -
ONLY SOME songs appear in song list, but when clicked, play a random song instead of the one i chose. You can play the song on iTunes, just not the ipod nano. (the one that has a clickwheel and looks almost like a square)
You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device. If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.
Music purchased from the iTunes store can be imported directly to your iTunes library by authorizing your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase the music (in Store>Authorize This Computer), then connecting the iPad to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Music from other sources will require using 3rd party software to transfer to your computer, such as Touch Copy. -
Uninstalling adobe photoshop trial CS4 crashes explorer (versionCue.dll)
Running XP pro, 4gb ram, Radeon HD 4800, Intel Pentium E8400. None of that is relevant in the least but I figured someone would ask if I didn't put it up.
Anyway: I installed the photoshop CS4 30 day trial (photoshop and bridge only). Then I uninstalled it. After a restart (I believe), every time I perform certain actions (bring up context menu, cut/copy files...) in window explorer, it will crash, saying the specified module could not be found: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version cue CS4\Client\4.0.0\VersionCue.dll .
Reinstalling the trial fixes the issue.
Uninstalling it again causes the issue to resurface.
I want all adobe software off my computer please! I've learned my lesson! How do I fix explorer? my "keep a crappy expired trial on perpetuity" stratagem is starting to grate.
Similar problems were elsewhere when I searched, but the solution was always "doing X and Y will put cs4 back into you context menu, don't worry." This is not adequate for me. Ideally, the solution to this problem would eliminate all instances of the word Adobe from anywhere on my computer except for my internet history of this page.

-BenI went into the folder and discovered only the file VersionCue.dll1. As using and type of dragging and right-clicking all crash explorer, I then copied this file into VersionCue.dll using cmd.exe

-Stabalized Explorer (good)
-Restored the drive cs4 options to explorer's context menu (bad).
I really don't want to have to reinstall windows just because I made the mistake of installing adobe software on it. Can anyone help me clean this menu up?

I'm running OS 10.6.8 on my 3.06 GHz iMac Intel Core 2 Duo. I recently upgraded to iTunes 10.5.2. I'm not sure when the trouble started but I attempted a restore when the iPod would not play correctly. It would start to play a file and get stuck on 0 seconds. If I put the iPod on shufle, it will stall on 0 seconds for 15 seconds or so and then move on to the next track and stall again and so on. Seemingly randomly, it will play a few tracks but eventually start skipping again. This will continue until the battery is depleted which is fairly quick since the drive is constantly spinning.
My 160GB iPod Classic after restore attempts now is up to date with 2.0.4. and of course, nothing works as it should and I would say the skipping issue is worse than ever.
When I connect with any of three USB connectors, the iPod mounts to the desktop as a grey/silver disk drive picon exactly like the Macintosh HD picon. Then Finder will stall for a few minutes- spinning pinwheel. Somehow, the dock is never affected and I am able to open other applications like Safari or tab through open windows- just no action on the desktop. Eventually, iTunes automatically opens and Finder becomes responsive again. At this point the grey drive picon on the desktop becomes a white drive mount picon, but the iPod does not mount in iTunes, yet. At some point, the iPod attempts to sync, iTunes crashes with the spinning pinwheel and eventually times out and I am prompted to restore the iPod again. Once restored, the iPod properly mounts under devices in iTunes and, as I have done this several times, even occasionally changes to the regular iPod picon on the desktop.
I have restored several times going as far a completely deleting iTunes from my iMac, downloading the latest directly from Apple.com, and attempting to restore again, but to no avail.
I have even used the disk utility to verify and/or repair my Macintosh HD and iPod.
It seems lots of folks are going through this ordeal. Has anyone had any success in fixing the issue, even if only temporarily?one more detail, after a restore, when I attempt to reload music to the ipod, if I try and move, say, 20 files, the transfer seems to work as it should but then stalls on the last file. Eventually, the status will change to "Updates Files on (my ipod)" a and suggests the iPod is syncing even though I have the auto sync feature turned off.
This process eventually works itself out, and seems to take longer relative to the number of files I attempt to transfer. Once done, howver, if I try and eject and dismount the iPod, iTunes stalls with the spinning pinwheel and I am warned that the iPod is syncing again with the spinning candy cane status bar. Eventually thisd works itself out and the iPod dismounts from iTunes and the desktop and eventually the iPod is free to disconnect.
Then if I try and play the music I just transfered, the iPod says there is no music loaded.
Ideas? -

Other Adobe programs should not cause this error.
Try this: Open Terminal,
copy/paste this into Terminal at the command prompt: sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe
Press enter, and if asked enter your password.
Try opening Photoshop again.

This happens especially with certain news sites (e.g., NY Times), but also with others. I've updated Firefox and plugins, and checked for the malware file nsBrowserOpt.dll in the components folder of Firefox. My antivirus is up to date. I was able to access the problem sites with IE, though Explorer gave me a similar error message this morning.
I'm asking for more information.

HT202181 10.9 and 10.10 mounts the folder and not the sharepoint when clicking on a URL link
I have tested this on several computers and it appears that 10.9 and 10.10 have reverted to mounting the folder and not the sharepoint, similar to 10.6-10.6.6.

I am unable to open Itunes or Quicktime on my netbook. I have tried reinstalling the software but it wont work. Please can someone advise how I can get it working.

ChrisIn recent times, the error-message-free iTunes and QuickTime launch failures have been indicating that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files. (Those sorts of applications often use the Visual C++ runtimes to keep track of the componentry, so it seems consistent that an update to those could cause the symptoms to flare up on a PC.)
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit Windows 7, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit Windows 7, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -
Parse and display xml doc when click on JTree node?

Re-installation of OS X Mountain Line.
Apple ID and Password is verified and correct installation disk is indicated.
After click on "INSTALL" Apple ID and Password verificatrion re-appears.
I've changed ID and Password but to no avail am I allowed to continuie installation.

My Apple ID and password work with everything else. I have a good Internet connection. No Firewall active from my IMac.
LIke I said, I haven't installed anything recently and FaceTime ver. 1.0.5 on OS X 10.6.8 was working fine prior to yesterday.
I restarted my IMac to run Mavericks and FaceTime 3.0 under OS X 10.9.4 is working and I was able to login and use FaceTime on Mavericks with no problem.
For some unknown reason FaceTime on IOS and on my Mac were asking me to login into FaceTime when I haven't had to do this for quite sometime.
Older FaceTime 1.0.5 all of a sudden has decided to be a problem with login on my IMac under Snow Leopard.
The only thing left I am going to try is the two-step Apple ID verification process where I can use a app specific password, but Apple makes you wait three days before completing the two-step verification.
If this doesn't work, then I do not know what will solve this issue and now I made my Apple ID login process more complicated than I really wanted it to be.
I purposely stayed away from using the two-step ID verification login. -
Found and resolved a problem when transferring GIF images thru iCloud
I had problems getting GIF images to upload to iCloud on Windows Vista.
After several failed attempts to upload a GIF image from the UPLOADS folder, I renamed the image using PAINT to a JPG image and the transfer occrued immediately.
Apparently the upload feature in Photstream does not work with GIF images.
Anyone out there experiencing a similar kind of problem?It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. What the following line does is replace the literal string "name" with $username_$number:
$newname = str_replace ('name', "$username_$number", $name);
Is the literal string "name" in the name of the uploaded files?
The way to debug this type of thing is to use echo at various stages to display what certain variables contain:
echo '$name is: ' . $name . '<br />';
By exposing the values stored in variables at different stages of a script, you can tell if it's working the way you expected. -
I've tried installing Photoshop elements 11. It does not automatically start up. When clicking on the folder there is no setup. Help. Am I not doing something?
