Photoshop CS 5.1 Failure to launch

I am currently running Mac OS X v. 10.5.8. I have recently installed the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium. All of my programs are running fine with exception of Photoshop 5.1. I have made sure my CS and OS X are up to date.
When I try to launch photoshop I receive the following error message after it crashes:
"The application Photoshop quit unexpctedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affeted. Click to launch the application again. Click Report to see more details or send to Apple." and when I try relaunching I receiev a similair message sayng the relaunch failed. I have tried holding down shift+alt+command and chose to reset the preferences however, it still fails to open.
Any suggestions? I have also tried running OnyX to clean things up, and this has not helped either. Could this issue be due to the fact I am running Leopard and not Snow Leopard or Lion?

Since installing leopard 10.5.2 I can't launch idvd (version4). I am constantly given the error message "failure to launch" Any suggestions? Are there any downloads that may be able to fix it?

You need a version more modern than iDVD 5 to be able to run under Mac OS X.5 !
No there are no download-fixes.
alt. Partioning the hard disk or use another FW external one with an older Mac OS
and start (boot) from this when doing DVDs.

Failure to launch GoLive 5

Hey,
I have a "failure to launch" message that appears when I try to launch Adobe GoLive 5.0, a message that wasn't there yesterday (..wha?). It reads "Failure to launch GoLive 5 because SCL 2.0 could not be found". I've re-installed GL 5 but am still getting the message. This is an app that I've been running in Classic without a hitch, up til now. Can anyone help me understand what "SCL 2.0" is ?

Adobe X Failure to launch

I downloaded Adobe X, but it refuses to launch. I see the Akamai installer is a 32 bit program, and I guess Acrobat X is too. Can this failure to launch be a conflict with my 64 bit Wndows 7 os?

My photoshop elements 12 editor will not launch

Afterwards, I reinstalled PhotoShop Elements and it won't launch for me. A message appears that says my trial has expired. I never had a trial version; I just purchased the software. Tech support is...well, not supportive. I've spent hours with them with no success and I'm told my issue is a known issue but I guess there is no fix. They just tell me to contact them again if it doesn't work...well, duh that's why I contacted them in the first place.

Tech support is...well, not supportive. I've spent hours with them with no success and I'm told my issue is a known issue but I guess there is no fix. They just tell me to contact them again if it doesn't work...well, duh that's why I contacted them in the first place.

According to somebody else's extra coverage on the topic, there are extra ports 4016/4017 that need to be taken care of (but do they have to be exposed externally)?

And, how do I control that in Visual Studio?
All I get is the Attach Debugger... context menu option in the Azure cloud service nodes in Server Explorer. That is where it is failing. There are no customisable options.
Because of that, the Attach to Process dialog box is unable to retrieve the list of processes (to debug) in the remote worker role instance server.
I tested a blank-template worker role project and published to a new cloud project, and this simplistic copy had no problems with the Remote debugger.
Now the question is, what is it about this real-world project/cloud service that is different from blank sample? From what I compare between what I think are the relevant settings, there are none.

Just upgraded Photoshop and now it will not launch

Just upgraded Photoshop and now it will not launch.

The rule of thumb I follow says to figure on 50 to 100 times the size of your largest file ever multiplied by the number of files you have open. I have seen the scratch file exceed 300 GB once, an admittedly rare occurrence, but it often exceeds 200 GB when stitching large panoramas and the like.
As an example—and stressing that I'm aware that others have even more scratch space than I do—I keep two dedicated, physically separate hard drives as my primary and secondary Photoshop scratch disks and a lot of GB free on my boot drive for the OS. I also have 16 GB of RAM installed.
Additionally, if you only have a single HD, i.e. your boot drive, you'd need it to be large enough to accommodate both the swap files of the OS as well as Photoshop's scratch.
The scratch often exceeds 300 GB when working with very large pano shot, for instance; and in one extreme case I've seen it grow to over 800 GB.

Photoshop CS3 (nor CS2) won't launch since CS3 install

Since installing Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium I can no longer open Photoshop. It repeatedly crashes on the launch window. For the sceptical, my CS3 Production Premium collection was all legitimately authorised and registered.
Of the other CS3 apps that installed (can't install Encore, Premiere or Soundbooth on PowerPC) they all open and run perfectly fine.
I uninstalled all CS3 and re-installed CS2. Now Photoshop CS2 won't open either (but everything else is still fine). Exactly the same problem, Photoshop crashes during the launch window.
What has CS3 changed to my system that prevents Photoshop opening and can I correct the issue? From searches on this subject Someone suggested repairing permissions before and after installing CS3. This had no effect.

You can try trashing and regenerating Photoshop preferences when you launch.
Hold down command/option/shift while launching Photoshop. You will be asked if you want to get rid of Photoshop settings. Choose yes.
See if this works; you may have to reset some of your Photoshop preferences afterward. I'm not sure why you can't install the other applications.
Also, it may have something to do with activation; did you activate your copy of CS3? You should be able to have CS3 and CS2 both running as far as activation is concerned, but are they on the same drive? This might be a problem if one version is trying to read the other's settings during launch.

Photoshop CC has stopped working when launching

So I just signed up to adobe CC, and installed Photoshop. I signed upto the £8.75 a month deal that was on the homepage.
My problem is everytime I go to launch photoshop either in 64bit or normal I keep getting the error message " Photoshop has stoped working" at the loading screen.
I am using Windows 7 professional 64bit OS service pack 1, 6 giggs of ram, i7 cpu. I am suing amd hd 7700 Graphics card. I have 150 giggs free on my C drive
I have tryed deleteing all the drivers for my graphics card and wacom tablet using revo unintsaller and driver sweeper, and then reinstalling them. Nothing seems to work.
I have tryed launching it in safe mode and clean boot, and it seems to work in those modes, but not in normal. In clean boot mode if I stop all MS services and launch programmes it works, but there are so many MS applications how would I even know what to stop in normal mode.
This is really doing my head in, I have spent hours now reinstalling, deleting drivers, sweeping etc, and nothing.
If this cannot be sorted, is there a way to stop my subscroption I just signed up for, it is a yera long deal, and if this dosnt work, I ma basically wasting my money.
Please help me.

So I got incontact with adobe customer chat and they couldnt help, they said it was a microsoft problem. I contacted microsoft and spoke to the lead solutions engineer there. He says its a preety raare and unique problem. He couldnt even fix it after 1 hour of taking control of my desktop. He is getting back to me tomorow after saying his going to research more into the matter.

Hi Support, how can I install photoshop again after disk failure. Still says I have 2 copies installed, need to remove one from my old pc. Thanks for any help.

After drive failure, I decided to install photoshopcc on my home pc.
when I try to start it, I get the message "already installed on 2 devices"
I need to remove it from one of those devices.
It's not obvious how to do this.

On one of your older PCs, Start Photoshop, go to the Help menu > Deactivate...

hi I have downloaded Photoshop CC as part of the free trail creative cloud package, I can see my apps in my downloads as "up to date" however, the apps does not show in my applications and would not launch??

Failure to launch Camera Raw 5.2 correctly on a Mac with Elements 6?

I downloaded and installed the Adobe Camera Raw application, and I read the readme and followed the instructions (although I'm not positive that I did it correctly). When I open Elements and then Camera Raw, the loading window for Camera Raw pops up - but that's it. Nothing happens. The program doesn't load, but elements does not freeze either. Is there something I'm just not undertanding? Do I have to plug my camera in (Nikon D60) or do something else to get this plug-in to work? Please help - I really want to start working with RAW files! Thanks.

Here are the instructions for installing the ACR update:
To install with Adobe Photoshop Elements: NOTE: You must follow all of the new instructions in order to successfully install the Camera Raw plug-in for Photoshop Elements.
1. Exit Photoshop Elements and Adobe Bridge.
2. Open the download file, double-click CameraProfiles.dmg, and follow the onscreen instructions.
3. Navigate to the root of the local disk (not the user's home folder).
4. Navigate to: (Please read directory carefully)
Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS3/File Formats
5. Move the existing plug-in to another location (for example, a new folder on your desktop). Ensure that you keep this version in case you need to revert back.
6. Copy the Camera Raw plug-in, Camera Raw, from the download into the same folder as in Step 4.
7. Launch Photoshop Elements or Adobe Bridge.

Failure to launch Acrobat following Yosemite upgrade

I've just installed Yosemite and now, when I try to open Acrobat I get a message that it 'cannot be launched. You must launch at least one other suite component (such as Adobe Photoshop) before launching Acrobat'. I have followed this instruction and opened Photoshop, but I still get the same message. How can I overcome this problem and open Acrobat?

Have you tried reinstalling Creative Suite 3? You can download a fresh copy of the installation files at Download CS3 products.

Failure to Launch after Migration

Hello!
I tried to launch InDesign 5.5 for the first time since migrating to a new Macbook Pro (running 10.7.3). I'm able to get the splash screen, but shortly after "Intiatlizing Plugins" appears on said screen, it crashes. I get the standard error message "InDesign quit unexpectedly" from the Finder. I've uninstalled SING, reset my keychain, tried launching it on other user accounts, and updated to the latest patch. Nothing has worked, and I'm recieveing the same error. I can't run an error repor via Activity Monitor because it isn't open long enough, but here's my error message via the Finder: http://pastebin.com/cBWZyPiY
Is there any solution that I haven't realized/thought of?

I was afraid of that. That's my last resort, but it looks like I'll be doing it tonight.
Any other ideas?
ETA: All other Adobe products I own (Illustrator, Photoshop, Reader) have no issues.
