Photoshop CS 6 I get a white border across top of 8.5x11 when borderless is checked

Hi, Photoshop CS 6 I get a 1/16 inch white border across top of 8.5x11 when borderless is checked. How do I fix this.
Thanks,
Roger

Couldn't tell you, I'm afraid. This is the Audition forum where we only really understand sound. Probably best to repost this on the Photoshop forum, I would have thought...

wrapping an A HREF tag around a flash .swf object will not
    work.
the link has to be "in" the swf, back when it was an FLA file

Or- the .swf has to have actionscripting in it so that it

does anyone know how to get a white line across text like the USA basketball logo?

Draw the shape which is to be knocked out (a line in the example) in a layer above the logo. The colour doesn't matter because it will be made invisible.
Double-click in the space to the right of the layer's name in Layers panel to open its Layer Style window where advanced blending can be modified.
Set Fill Opacity to zero and Knockout to "Deep" or "Shallow" depending on whether the knockout should be limited to a containing Group.

  • Problem with Bleed, getting a white border I don't want

    Hi,
When I export my document, my 10mm bleed becomes this white frame. I have not found a solution on how to get rid of it. I've tried a bunch of different things, and now I'm hoping some nice person here can help me out.
Here is how the bleed looks like in the document:
    This is the pdf: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3098225/spiral2.pdf
This is my Indesign project file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3098225/spiral.zip
I want my bleed lines to show, but I don't want that white frame.
I suspect my problem is very easy to fix..
I would really appreciate some help on this. Thanks!

You can set the crop marks to a value greater than the bleed itself to move them outside the bleed area...

  • When i turn my mac on i get the white screen and a progress bar that when finished shuts the computer down

i recently came back from holiday and tried to start up my laptop (that stayed at home, just shutdown but plugged in). when i turned it on, i got the apple white screen, a timer wheel and a progress bar that when it reached the end of the bar, it just shut the computer down again. i cannot get past this screen and the mac will not turn on. does anybody know how i can fix this please?

Your hard drive is dead and you'll need a new one. If you're the least bit handy, you can replace the drive yourself. You need to decide what capacity and speed you want out of a new drive.
I'm hoping that you had backup schemes in place? If not, there's a chance that, with a tool such as DiskWarrior, you MIGHT be able to grab some data from your dead/dying drive.

  • White border on top and right side on 8.5x11 borderless printing on HP 2710 Photosmart

I have this printer at home and at work.  At home...I get the problem, at work not.  Exact same printer, using Photoshop CS4 on both.  I have borderless frames, and want borderless photos.

Make sure the paper you are using does not have a removeable tab. Also try printing on 5x7 and see if the problem persists.

  • White line across top of edit page

When I use edit page a white horizontal line apears across the the top of the page?

Hmm, it looks like you've got part of another program window floating in front of it, based on that orange thing on the side and the close buttons over the PSE buttons. You can resize the editor window by dragging the bottom right corner. If you make it smaller and put it elsewhere on your desktop, does the line move with it or stay there?

  • When I try to print a web page, all I get is one line across top of page.

When I try to print a web page in Firefox, the only thing that prints is a single line across the very top of the page. I can sometimes highlight and print my selection, but now that has stopped working.

I did not have the HP printer software for Mac OSX installed properly. Once installed the problem went away.

  • White Border created in PDF docs from InDesign CS5 -how to get rid of it

  • Adding image/photo without a white border

Hello, I have searched these discussions and looked through help and cannot find an answer if there is one. I would like to be able to add an image or photo to a page without that automatic little white border . I do have photoshop if that helps. Is there a way to acomplish this? Thanks... having LOTS of fun with iWeb.

Hi, thanks, but I still get the white border around the outside of the graphic when I drag to an iWeb page. I created a gif, masked the white and saved with transparency checked, and on the graphic the white does not show, just the black vector art, but there is still a white border around the outside.
I would like to screencapture the background in iWeb and create an image on it in photoshop so that when I place it back into iWeb it will blend with the background and not have a white border. Not on a Photo page, but say, on the Welcome page. Can this be done or what am I doing wrong? Thanks:)

  • White border problem when zooming with SWF in PDF

    Hi Everyone,
I have posted my original querry in the Indesign forum:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5176893#5176893
I'm having problems with zooming whedn trying to create a PDF with SWF inserted.. at certain levels of zoom I get a white border on the left and right of the document which squashes the content into the middle and makes it a little pixelated.  I also get a thin white border on the right when zooming out.  Does anyone have any ideas where I might be going wrong?
    Thanks,
    Em

Not wishing to be rude, but that workflow is not supposed to be used that way.
InDesign's ability to export SWFs is intended for showing the file in a Web page, and Acrobat's ability to embed SWFs is only intended for small annotations placed within the pages of a conventional PDF file. By placing the entire Layout as a SWF you are in effect playing the entire thing as a movie in Flash Player - all the advantages of the PDF format are completely lost, there is no vector-rendering of any content or text, and users will find it very hard to understand what's going on (the navigation buttons in Acrobat or Reader will not work, text is not searchable or accessible, multiple pages cannot be printed, etc.).
It's not entirely trivial to do this 'correctly', as at the moment we don't have full support in the PDF standard for all the interactive features that InDesign can apply to page objects - that's why they are grouped into PDF and non-PDF in the various selection menus in InDesign. Rather than saving as a SWF you should be using Export to Interactive PDF, and ensuring that the various interactive items and media are all selected on the export dialog.
Basic stuff such as links and video will export just fine that way, and the PDF will preserve everything else in the Layout as native text or graphics so it'll look fine, navigate properly and be searchable. Animations and buttons will not work as expected, so you may have to revise their behavior if PDF is your intended output destination.

  • White border on pdf?

Why am I getting a white border on the top and bottom of my pdf when I save my doc in pages?  And this only happens sometimes...

Here is a sample of what I mean...  Apologies for the size.  Those white spaces at the top and bottom are not part of the original document.  I would LOVE to use Pages '09 still, however I am unable to edit old documents transferred over to my new laptop in Pages '09 format, the printed version is horrible, and the screen images are too fuzzy for my use and the work I need to do.

  • White border around the picture when it prints

How do i get the white border off of my picture when i print my picture?

As mentioned above by hatstead tat all printers does not support border less printing so first of all check whether your printer is able to print border less. If yes then there are few steps to follow for MAC and WIN machines.
    For WIN :-
Click on ‘Change settings…’ button and then by clicking on ‘Advance Settings…’ you will get your printer preferences dialog.
From printer preferences dialog you can check/select the checkbox/radio button for border less printing. This option is generally present under different tab for different printers like “Page setup tab for Canon Printers” or “Paper/Quality tab for HP printers” or “Main tab for EPSON printers”.
Once done and from PSE print dialog select appropriate paper and print size and click ‘Print’ button to get the border less print.
    For MAC:-
f your printer supports borderless printing then you can find the entry for paper size with border less from ‘Select Paper Size’ drop down on print dialog.
Now select your print size from ‘Select Print Size’ drop down and click Print button to get the border less print.
    Hope it would help you.
    Cheers !!!

  • Export Layers to File PNG creats white border

I am exporting dark blue (one color) animation in layers with transparency as PNG-8 from photoshop, the exported file has a white border around the the object while if I save it manualy it save corectly with no white border.

    I seem to remember this problem from another post a few years ago. I think the solution was to use scriptlistener to SFW instead of document.exportDocument();
