Photoshop CS version 8.0 Activation ?

I have installed my copy of Photoshop CS into my new computer.
When I open the program I am asked to activate it.
I am given 30 days to complete it.
I follow all the instructions and every one comes to a dead end.
The last time I reinstalled the program was about 5 years ago and the activation process was completed.
Photoshop has worked normally for the last 5 years. My old computer crashed.
How do I activate Photoshop CS?

There does seem to be a bit of confusion, or at least questions, regarding Ps CS and the CS2 "special version."
Hope that we can get an "official Adobe response," to clarify the CS vs CS2 question.
I've already shared my personal feelings, and the little that I *know* on this matter, plus what I hope that Adobe's stance is - but that might be 100% wrong, and unfulfilled.
We shall see, or at least I *hope* that we'll see.

"Photoshop" Lightroom doesn't require activation; you just install and then type in the serial number when prompted, and it should work from thet moment; Adobe allow you to install Lr on two computers at the same time. The Internet is only really required to register your serial number, which is a very good idea in case of disaster.

It sounds like you downloaded the wrong application, namely Adobe Premiere Elements.
If you meant Adobe Photoshop Elements, you're in the wrong forum. This is not the Elements forum.

Had to reinstall photoshop cs won't accept activation code

my computer has now crashed for the third time. I have reinstalled my photoshop 7 and getting error message that "could not initialize because scratch disk was full".
Then reinstalled my photoshop cs update and now my Adobe won't accept my serial number and activation code. Both products bought legally several years back.
Tried to activate over phone, but still won't accept and getting message they no longer do activations over the phone. How can I actually talk to someone to help me out?

Photoshop CS - you mean version 8.0?
You will no longer be able to run that version because the Activation Servers are offline for good. But since you can no longer use your license Adobe will provide you with a CS2 upgrade. Check here:

This remedy was provided at one time well-documented to be for CS or CS2 users in exactly your situation. I've noticed that the CS designation has gone away. Please read the conditions carefully and call Adobe Support to ask them if you're not sure whether you're eligible to use this.

But, please clarify...
a. Are you connected to the Internet, but cannot activate the product because you are getting a message that says you do not have an Internet connection
or
b. You need to activate your product and you definitely do not have an Internet connection

I am working on a Toshiba laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium with 8GB RAM. I said that when I was testing the trial version , everything worked perfectly .
I have several printers, but they are not relevant since it is the [ PRINT ] is blocked at the base ( it is disabled). Yet when I went to the "registered " version (PS Creative Cloud Subscription Mono -application to Photoshop) , Photoshop has downloaded the software again and informed me that the activation went well .
I do not understand , and it is impossible to find a link to contact Adobe directly by phone or mail !

You do not buy Photoshop for 300 baht, you are renting it for that much a month. You set up an account with a valid credit card and to see if it is active, you go here. https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html Look under my Subscriptions.
If all is good, then with the same Adobe ID/password, select "License this Product" and sign in, or Help > Sign in.
That will license it.

jpg does not support Layers.
Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

HOw can I transfer my old photoshop cs version 8 onto my new computer?

I have an older mac computer (10.4.11) with Photoshops cs version 8. Id did not get transferred onto my new mac computer, so i had to buy Elements when I got the new one. I am very much missing the "pen" tool! Is there any way I can upgrade my photoshop cs Version 8 and put it on my Mac 10.7 5 so that I can go back to using the pen tool? out of the upgrade loop for photoshop.
Lion uses an intel processor and photoshop cs is an PowerPC application that needs an PowerPc processor
and lion can't us rosetta to run some older PowerPC applications.

It should install and it should run but, because of the age discrepancy, CS is not officially supported by Adobe on Vista.

I have been running Photoshop Elements Version 1 on a Windows XP machine. I have a new Acer desktop pc running Windows 7 64-bit. I am trying to install this old PhotoShop Elements V1 program from the original installation CD and as soon as I select "US English" and click "Next" I get a brief hourglass as if it is proceeding with the installation, but nothing happens and no message about failure comes back ... it is just as if I never put in the CD. Is this ancient version of PE even compatible?

Its very old version of PSE, Its not compatible with Win 7.
