Photoshop CS1 activation crack

I have spoken with tech support numerous times regarding this problem, but have never received an actual response. .. The issue is with Photoshop CS1 not having the same ability as every other version of Photoshop to either backup the activation information, or provide the Adobe crack CD to bypass the activation.
I sometimes have to reinstall my entire OS multiple times per month and when doing so must reinstall Photoshop. At this time, the software requires activation. Since those who purchase Photoshop are automatically volunteered to the Adobe anti-piracy program, the user must call Adobe every single time that you want to use the product. This issue has cost me easily over a few thousand dollars in company time already and I am desperate for a solution.
As a reference, CS2 & CS3 have built-in functions to backup the registration information so that you can use the software without spending a day or two on the phone.
Earlier versions of Photoshop such as ver 5.5 do not require enrollment in the anti-piracy program, so Adobe can just send the crack CD that will work with the license number that is received when the product is purchased. The last company I worked with was using 5.5 and required Photoshop to be installed on a laptop without networking abilities and that is how I learned of the crack CD from Adobe.
If anyone can assist in how to either obtain the CS1 activation crack from Adobe, or how to backup the activation information, please provide any/all necessary information on how to do this.
Thanks in advance.

(don't even get me going on you apparently liking piracy to terrorism! talk about a straw man!) if eric (the OP) wanted an illegal crack, all he has to do is fire up google. he came here looking for a legal way to get around having to reactivate every time he reformats. and since it's that often, he probably has to call adobe for permission to use the software he legally bought. <br /><br />> If we don't like DRM, we go to a web site that shows how to defeat it.<br /><br />we do? maybe you do, but no "we" don't. • Photoshop CS1 Activation on Windows 8

I have a copy of Photoshop CS1 which I have used for many years. I installed Windows 8 on my machine yesterday, and therefore had to reinstall PS CS. It would not activate, and when I rang up Customer Support, they told me that because they don't officially support Windows 8, they won't give me an activation code. The frustrating part is that under the 30-day grace period, the software currently runs, and is working flawlessly on my Windows 8 machine!!! I am therefore in the position where I am being told that I can't run my legitimately purchased software simply because they won't give me a code to activate it. Clearly I'm more than a little frustrated by this, so I'd appreciate any help people can provide as to how I get this software activated.
    Cheers.

What is your history with Photoshop CS?  If you deactivated it on your prior machines upon retiring them, you should have 2 activations left.
I happen to agree with you that Adobe needs to continue to provide activation support for every version they have shipped, however ancient, as long as it can work.  I'm just wondering whether they're implying that Windows 8 is not actually capable of supporting activation of Photoshop CS.
Did they refuse to do anything, or did they try something then you found it still wouldn't activate?

  • Activating Photoshop CS1?

I've had a Photoshop CS1 disc for quite a while.  Just recently I tried to install it on my new laptop, but it wouldn't let me activate the program, saying the activation server was no longer available.  I looked around on the Adobe website for solutions, but the only one I found was a download of Photoshop CS2 that didn't have to be activated.  I tried downloading this, but the serial number I put in was invalid (I tried it both with and without dashes).  I figure it's because the serial is from CS1, not CS2.
So is there any downloadable version of Photoshop CS1 available, similar to the CS2 one?  Or any other way I can activate this program?  I can't even use it without activation.
I'm running the program on Windows 7, by the way.  The program worked fine when I first installed it, but I could only use it for thirty days before activation was required.  Any help would be appreciated.

you must use the ps2 program and serial posted on adobe, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l

  • Photoshop CS1 files not opening with a double click?

I'm not sure if this is an Adobe related issue, but I recently installed Tiger on my 2005(white/1.33ghz/PPC G4) ibook. With Panther, and with every other OS/application, I was able to double a Photoshop File and have Photoshop open along with the file. Here's what happens now: I double click the photoshop file (any photoshop cs1 file), Photoshop opens, but my file doesn't open. I have to find the file and open it from the menu bar in order to access it. This is very annoying for me as I open Photoshop files more than anything. Here's what I've done: I got info on the Photoshop file to make sure Photoshop CS1 is selected as the host application. Check preferences and settings in Photoshop, (didn't find anything related though, but everything is the way they were when I was on Panther. Possible Obstructions: I also have Photoshop 6 on 0S 9 installed on my computer. I have many filters on this version that I don't on CS1. I don't think this is the reason but I could be wrong. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Except Adobe tells you to reinstall Photoshop (or least that has been their recommendation), which is completely unnecessary. The problem is that this is missing when you do a system upgrade:
    "/Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types"
Reinstalling Photohop will, of course, create the ScriptingAdditions folder and place the "Adobe Unit Types" file inside it. If you still have your Previous System folder, or a backup of it, or access to another machine with Photohop installed, you can simply put the ScriptingAdditions folder into your /Library folder. If not you can create the ScriptingAdditions folder yourself (note there is NO space in the name), then download and unzip this:
    http://homepage.mac.com/francines/pdfs/AdobeTypes.zip
and put the "Adobe Unit Types" into the ScriptingAdditions folder.

  • Photoshop CS1 wont open anything - big issues!

    Hi
Photoshop has started to do an odd thing ...and I am in crisis as I am a photographer and kind of need it!
It will not open ANY image file, of any size, or any time via any opening method - double clicking on the file, dragging onto the dock icon, using Finder and File Menu>Open or going into P/Shop and using File Menu>Open.
Photoshop opens fine and does all the usual things when opening an image file - it even gives me the dialogue box when the Colour Settings do not match the work space.
Then, every time it gives me a message saying: "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
It give the same message if I try to create a new file within P/Shop.
    Thus far I have:
    - Repaired disk permissions
    - Binned P/Shop prefs
    - Uninstalled and re-installed the whole of Creative Suite 1 (!!!)
    - Tried a new user account and the problem was the same.
    - I read about needing to put "Adobe Unit Types" File into a folder called "ScriptingAdditions" at HD/Library/ScriptingAdditions. (This was already there, but I tried an old version from an archived OS 10.4.4, and then downloaded a new version of it from the web and tried that).
    - Put this file in every library I could find on the Mac (that was out of desperation!).
    - Restarted about a billion times.
    - Checked Adobe.com for updates and help.
    - Added any available updates for CS1
-Trawled the web for hours looking for a solution.
    - Disconnected from the internet while opening a file (As Adobe suggested - like that it gonna do anything?!?!?)
    - run /sbin/fsck -uy at the command prompt after starting up in single user mode.
    - Torn my hair out
    - Sworn a lot.
    - Wondered why the **** I spent sooooo much money on Creative Suite!
-Resisted temptation to put foot through monitor
Frankly, I think I have done pretty much everything possible and am clean out of ideas - any thoughts anyone?
My info - OS 10.4.7, Photoshop CS1 (Part of Creative Suite CS1).
This has only happened since I installed OS update to 10.4.7
    Please help!
    Thanks
    Rob

I personally have found that sometimes it's harder to isolate things once I have been mucking about so much (and being so frustrated.) I have found that buying a firewire external drive and re-installing the OS fresh and creating one account and only installing that one app almost always works.
I can then limp along and migrate settings or file an honest bug report that states so simply that the only things there are Mac and Application X that it's easy to find a solution or get back to work.
Sorry it's probably not what you wanted to hear, but sometimes the sure bet is worth the added time and hardware. And you will then have a spare drive to use a tool like carbon copy cloner to make bootable backups every so often so when the inevitable strikes, you can keep working...

  • How to check if  cs6 photoshop is activated if I cant access ps help?

How can I check if my CS6 Photoshop is activated if I cant access PS Help?

Why do you need to check it if you can't access it?  If it is because you need to have it deactivated then contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

  • Will Photoshop CS1 work with Leopard (OS 10.5.X)?

Due to budgets restraints, I cannot afford to update Adobe Photoshop. I have been using Photoshop CS1 on OS 10.4.11. If I update to OS 10.5.X, will I be able to use CS1? I cannot seem to find another source for an answer to this question so I am trying the forum. Any input would be most helpful!

It may but not reliably. All you can do is try. But backup your current system in case you find that you need to return to 10.4.x.

  • Installing Photoshop CS1 on Vista, cant even read disk

I just got a Vista machine and have installed all my CS3 stuff, MS Office, and other various things with no problems. When I got to Photoshop CS1, It doesnt even autostart. When I click on the drive, it says to insert a CD and ejects the tray. Is this a CS1/Vista glitch and if so, is there a fix somewhere? Not seeing any message about it in the patches section

    >Robert...is that really true???
    yes, it's true.
    >Even if it is, shouldnt Vista atleast be able to read the files on the CD?
yes it should. many people report running photoshop as far back as 7 on vista (sometimes with minor issues). but cs1 by almost all accounts should run fine. it definately SHOULD be able to read the disk.
    > but the disk works fine on the other computers which have XP
if you read it on another system, do what i said and copy the photoshop folder off the disk to a network share and install from there.
    >i just took the computer out of the box tonite so I know the drive isnt bad.
no guarantee. cables often work loose during shipping. any number of things could go wrong. in fact, i'd say the failure rate on almost all system components is GREATER on a new system than on a system that's been running fine for at least a couple of months.

  • Photoshop CS1 Mac can't open file by clicking icon

I am using Photoshop CS1 on my Mac Pro running 10.5.7.  When I click on an image that is labeled an Adobe Photoshop image (jpeg or tiff), Photoshop opens, but the image does not.  I realize that CS1 was not designed for an Intel Mac and I plan to upgrade to CS4 in the near future, but is there any way to set Photoshop CS1 to open the image when I click on the image?
Will I be able to open the image in this way on CS4?
I found this question was asked about a year ago, but the answers were links pasted into replies and I can't get the links to work.  They just open the Forums main page.  Thanks for any help you can give.

I followed the instructions in the FAQ and re-installed to the desktop and then trashed the Photoshop folder on the desktop and restarted.  I clicked a jpeg photo and it opened--just like magic!
Thanks again and also for the heads up regarding updates.  I need a deadline to convince my funding source to spring into action.

  • Importing keyword list from Photoshop CS1 is possible

Amongst all this gloom on a more positive note I thought people might be interested to know that I have successfully managed to import my long keywords list from Photoshop CS1 into the keywords hud. It is fiddly and I'm sure there must be a more graceful way of doing it but I got there in the end.
There are two buttons bottom right of the keyword hud - import and export - for which I have found no documentation in the manual however I tried export and it exported the keyword list as a text document. If you find your Photoshop CS keyword pref file which is by default kept in : user name / library / preferences / Adobe Photoshop CS settings / Keywords.psp, you can open it with text edit. You then have to fiddle around with the formatting which I did by copying it into a word processing app and using find and replace so that I ended up with a tabbed list which followed the same format as the exported aperture text list. I then pasted it into the aperture list and after a bit more fiddling around was then able to use the import button on the hud to bring in my entire list as it appeared in Filebrowser.
    Fingers crossed!
    Best wishes

  • Activacion photoshop cs1

    Hola.

  • I have an old version of Photoshop (CS1) that requires activation but there's no way to activate it. How can I bypass this?

I don't use Photoshop much so I've never upgraded. I've had it for probably 10 years and my PC recently crashed so I had to reinstall it. The last time I installed it on this machine I had the same problem so I called support and they gave me a workaround. However, they no longer support activation issues over the phone. Anyone have any suggestions?

CS and CS2's activation servers were closed down. Adobe has provided free of charge to you a non-activation copy of Photoshop CS2.
You go to this site, download the installer and be very sure to get the serial number next to it, because your old serial number is no longer good.
