Photoshop CS2 Could not complete request because of program error

My Photoshop CS2 stopped opening JPEG files from the Bridge. First it freezes and then say Not Responding. After that it brings Could no complete request because of program error. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling with no joy. I have also found out that i cannot open a file even directly from photoshop itself. I have not done any work for the past three days. Please help

I know this is probably a little late for your issue, but for anyone else having trouble with this...
I had this exact same problem, and my photo had also been previously worked on and saved as a jpg in CS4.
I saved it as a psd and then opened it back up in CS4, where it saved as a jpg with no problems.
So, it seems to be a problem with the different versions of photoshop. If you have access to CS4, that could solve your problem. Otherwise, have anyone sending you files from later versions save down to your version, and that might help.

Got that message today, trying to open a jpg in CS4 from Bridge. Its a file I had open all yesterday, did not make any changes, just closed it at end of day. It is correctly named with .jpg file extension. I can see all the data in Bridge. It is one that I created by opening an original file in CS4, duplicating, and saved as jpg.
I can open at all the other jpgs in that folder.
Managed to open it in raw, and saved as psd, and that file opens fine, phew.
Am on a just purchased early 08 MPB, 10.5.5, 2.4 GHz 4GB memory, and newly upgraded to CS4.
/ The few times I had this issue on my old PB G4, I was able to open recalcitrant files in Graphic Converter. Don't have that program on this laptop.
What could have caused this? I tried a quick search of FAQs etc.

Sounds like this may be a duplicate activated or a corrupted font.
There are also new FontAgent Pro plug-ins available for CS4 versions of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (as well as QuarkXPress 8 ).

The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.

How do I fix my Camera Raw in Photoshop CS6? I tried to view an NEF file in CS6, but it said I had to update my Camera Raw to 7.3 (I had 7.0). I went online and the only thing I could find was to download 8.6 so I started with that, and installed something and it didn't work, and then it told me I couldn't download 8.6 because my OS X is not 10.7 ( I have 10.6.8). Now when I go back into photoshop it gives me this error "Could not complete request because the file was not found" and I cant open any jpegs in photoshop. I have tried shutting down my computer, deleting caches, and uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling it. Still no luck. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite 6, and all of my other adobe programs run smoothy with the exception of photoshop. For about the past year and a half now, I will very inconsistency receive the error message, "Could not complete ___ command because there is not enough memory (RAM)." Sometimes this problem gets so bad that I am not even able to open my preferences.
My computer seems as though it should have plenty of space to run photoshop, and I have taken my computer to a number of differed tech supports, but they have only been able to temporarily make the problem less severe for short periods until it acts up again and completely prevents me from using Photoshop. I recently updated to Yosemite and deinstalled/reinstalled photoshop, hoping that would fix things, but I still get the message almost any time I try to complete a command.
Your help would be very much appreciated, thank you!

I'm trying to think back through Photoshop versions, but IIRC it became hungry for RAM with CS5, but it might even have been CS4. But certainly from CS5 onwards a 32 bit system was going to be severely compromised with its 3.5Gb RAM limit, of which Photoshop could access only a bit over 2Gb. You might remember the 4Gb switch that let you use a bit more of your 4Gb of installed RAM. That worked OK with XP but was still flakey, and third party plugins used to fall over all the time through lack of RAM — at least Photoshop has a Scratch drive.
So nowadays you can forget trying to use Photoshop on 32bit hardware. You need 64 bit and at least 8Gb RAM. So like I said, the OP needs to look deeper into the 'apparent' over heating issue, and put that other 4Gb back in. I can't even conceive of why a person would cripple their system by removing RAM. _Especially_ when it leaves just 4Gb

Photoshop CC constantly bringing up error "Photoshop could not complete request because of a program error" Help!! How do I fix this?

I have recently been having an error message pop up every now and then in photoshop CC. It usually happens after editing every other photo. It goes away if I close out of photoshop and load it back up. But then it comes back after another couple photo edits. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details like the actual crash logs. From your description it simply sounds like your graphics hardware is acting up, so update the graphics driver. Likewise, you may simply run out of disk space for the PS scratch file, so check that, too.

I am constantly getting the aforementioned message when I try to import video frame to layers and open video files on Photoshop CS6. I'm running on OSX 10.10.2 I've gone thru all the discussion boards on adobe communities as well as the instructional videos in an attempt to solve this problem and still nothing. Moreover, I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times are there any other that will effectively address my problem out there?

See if the video opens in Bridge, then from Bridge, right-click and open in Photoshop.

Could not complete request - program error - Mac - PSE9

I am using a mac computer with snow leopard operating system. Working on photobook in PSE9.
After complete many pages, program crashed and when I tried to reopen, message says could not
complete request because of program error. I have no idea what the error - just want to retrieve my work.

Sorry for the late reply. Have you tried deleting the preferences file. Just press "Ctrl +Shift+Option" key during launch and press "Ok" in the delete prefernces dialog box. Here is the link how to delete the preferences file.

Error while using spring multipart in Oracle Weblogic 10.3.6 - org.springframework.web.portlet.dispatcherportlet - could not complete request

We were using the spring multipart for the purpose of uploading a file into our application running on Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.2 using spring framework.
It was working fine until we upgraded our server to the version 10.3.6
After the upgrade, we started getting the below error while we try to submit the form after selecting the file to be uploaded.

Illustrator CC 2014 won't open "could not complete requested operation"

I can not get my Illustrator CC 2014 to open any longer. Lately when I try to open the program I get the following error; "Could not complete requested operation". My other Creative Cloud applications, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat are all working. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have jobs starting to pile up.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Sounds like the card reader isn't compatible with SDHC or SDXC cards. What card reader are you using?
