Photoshop CS2 un-installed and re-installed without de-activavtion. Activation window refuses to procede.

? Photoshop CS2 on Windows Vista. On start-up PS refuses access. Decided to un-install and re-install, unfortunately not thinking of de-activation. Now, on start-up, window offers registration which always fails. I am not offered help>de-activation, or help>transfer activation. Help>Adobe Forum!

Did you use the right serial number? The windows download is 348MB the Mac download is 441MB If your was 380MB there may be a problem with what you downloaded... If you can not get it to install you may have to contact Adobe customer Support. However CS2 is no longer suppoorted.

i bought the photoshop cs2 cs3 cs5 and lightroom and lightroom 4. i can't install on may new macbookpro 13inch?

On which operating system are you trying to install these Adobe apps?
Please specify the operating system name and version.
If you have purchased new Macbook Pro, then you should have atleast Mac OSX 10.9 or later. However, i doubt you will be able to install most of these apps on it as they are pretty old apps except CS5 & Lr4.
Still you can give it a shot and check.
What happens when you try to install them?
Do you get any error message? An error screenshot or full text of the error, should be helpful.

  • Can I install Adobe Photoshop in my laptop and access it without any Internet connection?

Can I install Adobe Photoshop in my laptop and access it without any Internet connection?

Perpetual versions you can and it possible to to activate them offline.  Offline Activation
The Creative Cloud versions can be installed offline but you need an Internet connection to activate the installed applications,  I also believe Adobe has recently made the Creative cloud desktop application an mandatory install.  It need not be running at all times however it will be installed.

  • Photoshop CS2 Trial Install Crash on Mac Pro

Well, I've seen the benchmark sites running Photoshop CS2 on a Mac Pro, but when I try to install the trial version, it crashs during the install process. I tried re-installing Mac OS X and re-installing Photoshop first thing, but with the same result.
A search only brought up a previously known issue with QuickTime 7.1, but the fix was to update to 7.1.1 - since my install has QT 7.1.2 this doesn't seem applicable.
Doom3 is the only other Rosetta app I've tried, and it runs fine - heck, I didn't even initially realize that the demo is the PPC-only version.
Has anyone else gotten it successfully installed? I don't want to spring out the cash for the full thing until I know it works (and I want to test out the Kodak Digital ROC plug-in to make sure it works as well.)
(I'm asking here since my lack of search results leads me to think it might be Mac Pro specific.)
    Take care,
    P.M.
    Mac Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   (2.66/160GB/7300GT/2GB/BT + 250GB PATA drive)

    This worked for me....
    Restart
During restart, hold Ctrl + Command + P + R to reset the PRAM
After this, the computer will flash and reboot again and should boot into the Mountain Lion Installer.
    Good luck.

  • Aperture opens and always shows processing in the activity window

Aperture 3 opens and every time shows activity of approx 800 photos being updated in the Library

800 Images shouldn't take much more than an hour.  At the same time, you should _never_ force quit a database.  After any force-quit, you should at the least repair, and consider rebuilding, your database.  See this Apple page for instructions.
Is there anything unusual about those 800 Images?
I suggest repairing your Library, then letting Aperture run unmolested overnight, then reboot and see if the Activity Window reports any processing.  Post back.

  • Windows 7, problems with Photoshop CS2 upgrade install

I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7 and I seem to have outsmarted myself.  Ever since version 5 I've bought the upgrade... well, now I no longer have the original version 5 disk and can no longer install and use either my CS or CS2 version.  While I do have a backup copy of my old version 5 CD copied onto my hard drive it will not install on Win7 and the CS2 upgrade doesn't recognize the backup as a valid upgrade.
When I try to install version 5 I get an error message to the effect that it's incompatable with Windows 7.  Trying to install either CS or CS2 and I get a "valid upgrade not found" error... if I let it install anyway in trial mode once it's done installing I get a "trial period is over, enter serial number".  I enter my serial number for the version I'm installing and I get "invalid serial number"  Invalid?  It's the number on the back of the CD case verified 10 times.
Am I hosed or will I have to go back to Windows XP?  I've paid for the Photoshop CS upgrade and the CS2 upgrade over the years but neither will install and run since I cannot install the last full version I own.
At the moment I'm having to use my laptop for all my photoshop work since it's still running XP and so it has a functional version of Photoshop.

    It works fine.
Right click on the "setup.exe" file on the CS2 install disc and then click on "properties", then click on the "compatibility" tab.
Click on the box for "Run this in compability mode" and in the pull down select "XP sp2".
    Click "apply" and then "ok".
Now go back to "setup.exe" and click on "Run as administrator" and CS2 should load fine.

  • Photoshop CS2--Deactivate--Install on Win7

I want to deactivate all my CS2 products so I can install on another computer. Is this an easy thing to do? Does anyone know if I can install CS2 on Windows 7 Ultimate after I deactivate from my old computer?
    Thanks,
    Lana

PS CS2 click on help then click on deactivate to install on another computer. Far as I have read in the forums and Google PS CS2 is a mixed bag of issues or no issues on windows 7. Depends on your video card and drivers too. you can go to the MS site for windows 7 and it lists software that will run on Windows 7. Keep in mind CS2 was not built for windows 7.

  • Will my existing Photoshop Elements 8 install & run on my new Windows 7 Pro/32 bit?

For several years I have been  running Photoshop Elements 8 on my XP  Pro/32 bit system.  I recently purchased a new PC with Windows 7 Pro/32 bit.  Can I successfully install & run this software on my new PC?

It may, it may not. Officially anything before PSE 9 is not tested or certified on Win 7. It may work with the usual precautions like turning off UAC and other security stuff, running as admin and possibly compatibility modes, but there's no guarantees. You should generally expect that there will be issues one way or another, even if only minor annoyances...

  • Macbook Pro and Photoshop CS2, Photoshop Elements 4.0?

I own CS2 for the Mac and use it on my G5. I've already gone through the attempts to install it on my MacBook Pro and had the setup program hang. Ok, so I have to wait for a fix from someone to get that going.
Does anyone know if PS Elements 4.0 for the Mac will successfully install and run on the MB Pro? If so, that's good enough for what I want to do right now and I'll go get one. However, if it's going to produce the same hang in setup, I'm no further ahead with that solution.
    I'm open to ideas.. thanks.
    Dennis

I have one of the new 17" MBPs. Photoshop CS2 and pretty much the rest of my Adobe CS2 package installed without any problems, but none of them will run. I keep getting the "This program unexpectedly terminated" message. I have the Quicktime update. In fact, as I wrote this post, Quicktime just "Unexpectedly" quit. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something very amiss with the new MBPs?

  • Photoshop CS2 has serious error and needs to be reinstalled * 3

    Hello,
I am running photoshop CS2 at work and had it open very slowly this morning (3minutes) and then give me an error message - Photoshop has encountered a serious error and needs to restart. I did this 3 times and it still is not working. I did a full uninstall each time, trashed prefferences, repaired permissions and restared but with no luck. Capture One is not opening either, but one step at a time here.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    thaks

    A little more info:
This seems particularly likely to happen when I open a sequence on the timeline that has more than 5 audio tracks.
I'm using OS Mavericks 10.9.5. Video footage is .R3D. I have the crash report if that helps.

  • Photoshop CS2

since Adobe Photoshop CS2 was installed I had so many troubles. It's very slow, and it takes up to 10 minutes to pen an image, as I'm working in huge files. Moreover, it keeps haning and crashing, and collapses out of the sudden without any error messages.

    Hello,
    Thank you for helping.
huge images: I meant images size is big, more than 1 GB.
OS: Windows 7, installed in 32 bits.

There is no reports at all, the application suddenly closes.
We have other machines that use the same OS, they have the same specifications, although CS2 is functioning properly.
    Regards.

Okay, lately I've been having problems installing photoshop after trying to create a user account for myself on this damned computer; a friend has supposedly helped me but we'll never know until I'm able to install the program itself... This is where ya'll come in.
    I am getting the message:
"The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop CS2 finished installing..." etc, etc.
I have rebooted twice and even waited a few hours before trying to install and still, I receive the same message.
