Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements 7

I have my Adobe Photoshop CS3 and then i install the trial version of Photoshop Elements 7.0. Is this possible and allowed? Then i decide to uninstall the trial version of PSE7. And some of the logo of PSCS3 are already not supported anymore. I was alarmed so i reinstall again the PSE7, but the logo for my PSCS3 files (.psd) becomes the logo of the PSE7.
What will i do to retrieve my PSCS3 file logo and not the PSE7 one? Im really frustrate. thanks...i can visit here again for response give an email message.

Thanks for the info. I don't have any plan to have them both in my programs, i am just curious about the PSE7. Im stick to my PSCS3. So, is the best thing i can do is to uninstall both and then reinstall my PSCS3?

  • Can PS CS3 and PS-Elements live on same drive?

I finally have my new dream PC (and Win-7 Pro) for video projects and all of the CS apps.
I bought PSE-7 for use on my laptop and have CS3 Design Premium that's never been installed - (waited for the new PC).
Will I have any problems with both PS CS3 and PS-E living on the same drive?
    Thanks for your advise,
    Coach Bob

Actually, that can work very well indeed.
The high throughput of SSD coupled with the zero seek times makes SSD a good choice to host everything.
I have a RAID array of four SSDs that I use for everything that's running - Windows, the swap file, all apps, and Photoshop scratch.  I also have some spinning drives on the system, but they're just for archival and are spun down (power saving state) most of the time.
I can barely notice when Photoshop goes to its scratch files.

  • I came up with the brilliant idea to add Photoshop Elements 6 to Adobe CS3

My original purpose was to add the OneOn Software with Elements.  Well I found I started having some problems with Photoshop.  I was adding Nik filters to both the elements and the CS3.  I didn't realize that I had Elements 6 so I downloaded 8 to help the situation.  This only made it work.  I decided to delete Photoshop CS3 and both elements 6 and 8.  I notice that the CS3 and Elements were sharing software.  When I tried to reload CS3 but I kept getting requests for Elements 6 and then 8 and back again.   I wasn't able to reload the software.  I kept getting errors to complete the software before loading other software.  I went through the computer and deleted all the Adobe files in Applications and in Utilities.  I have repaired the hard drive and the permissions under Disk utility.  I still have a problem loading CS3.  At this time I am going to start fresh and reload Adobe Snow Leopard.  Does anybody have any suggestions to fix the problem without reloaded the software and wiping everything out.  Thanks.

The moral in this story is keep it simple and don't mix Elements and Photoshop CS3.
I did call Adobe tech support and they only support the most current software which is CS5 so they didn't help me at all.

Well, I don’t quite follow the problem … but maybe the cleaner script can help removing CS3 properly before reinstalling?

  • Can I Upgrade Photoshop Elements 4.0, Premiere Elements 2.0 and DW CS3??

I have to upgrade my PC from Windows XT to Windows 8.1.
The computer checks say my existing Adobe programs are not compatible with Windows 8.1.
It is possible to upgrade Photoshop Elements 4.0, Premiere Elements 2.0 and Dreamweaver CS3?
    Thanks

You can upgrade to Elements 12 from any previous version.  Just purchase the version you require from either the Adobe website or a store of your choice as either individual programs or as a bundle.

The latest version of Dreamweaver is subscription only however with prices starting at $19.99 per month.

A quick check on the internet however has indicated that Dreamweaver CS3 will run Windows 8.

  • New Mac: Why are CC and Photoshop Elements not working when Lightroom and Reader are fine

Last week I changed computers (swapping an old Mac for a 13-in MacBook Pro Retina running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. I copied all my data over to the new machine using Migration Assistant.
All programs work fine (including my copy of Lightroom 3 and Reader XI). But my CC and Photoshop Elements 10 do not. I have tried uninstalling both, but whenever I try to reinstall PE10 from its disk or download it just stops almost at the end. I then I get an "initiation failed" message, along with a request to download the now defunct "Support Advisor" app!
I cannot download Adobe Application Manager, or the CC desktop app either - for the former I get an "initiation failed" message, along with the "download Support Advisor" app" message again! For the latter I get a message saying "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." Then I get a message and a link to download Creative Cloud. Then when I've downloaded it and I click on the installer... it runs for a bit and then I get the message again: "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." And I get a prompt and link to download the CC app. Guess what happens next? And so it goes on. And on and on, in a tedious circle.
This is incredibly annoying and frustrating as I have work to do! Anyone have any ideas what's happening?
    Cheers

do not use migration to install adobe programs.

You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
First you will have to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
Then you can install PSE from scratch.

It says I should have been sent an email with the serial number once the product was registered - But I never received this email. If anyone is able to help me with this issue - that would be great. the registration number is: PEPEP6-5578-6450-8871-9107  I am using a windows based system

If I were you I would first make sure CS6 was deactivated or signed-out. Then download Adobe's cleaner and remove cc, CS6 and any other creative  application installed including Creative Cloud desktop application.  Then install CS6 and use your CS6  serial number during the install to activate CS6 standard or extended which ever the serial number is for.   CS6 Version 13.0 should the be activated. That level of CS6 is extremely bug ridden so be sure to the use CS6 menu Help>Updates to get CS6 updates.  Windows should update to version 13.0.1.3 Mac to version 13.0.6.  Not Subscription CS6 version 13.1.2...

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer and Bridge

Our small company has several Windows versions of Photoshop Elements 3.0 of which is primarily used for the Organizer to organize a collection of client images (all nicely tagged), however, the tags are incompatible with our Mac version of Photoshop CS3's Bridge (as such, the Mac is lagging behind the Windows-based organisation of Organizer, which is being prodiminantly populated by Organizer users).
We hoped the new Mac Photoshop Elements 8 would finally get around to shipping with the Organizer, but as it still doesn't, we wondered if it is was possible to install Bridge on the Windows machines in place of the Organizer? and could we import all our current Organizer settings?
Apaprently Bridge will work on a machine so long as other Adobe software is installed, which is fine for our Elements machines, but where can we download it?
Some help on this would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure you really understand the difference between Bridge and Organizer, which may or may not matter one way or the other. Bridge is a browser, not an asset management program, so it doesn't have a catalog. It just shows the files in the folder to which you point it. There are no version sets or albums in bridge, although you can make collections. The only way to get  your current collections out of organizer would be to make tags for them and write them to the files, then reassemble the collections in bridge by keyword searching.
The upside to a program like bridge is that it doesn't care where or how you move your files around. You can do whatever you want when bridge isn't running and it won't complain that it can't find things anymore.

  • Can I set Bridge CS3 double-click to open photo in PhotoShop Elements?

I've just purchased PhotoShop Elements 6 for my Macinstosh and would like a double-click on a photo in Bridge CS3 to automatically open in Photoshop Elements 6 for editing. Can this be done and how?

Doesn't Elements 6 for Mac come with its own version of Bridge?

  • Photo shop and/or Photoshop Elements

I have a Mac Air I don't use very much (just when I travel mostly). I have 2 questions here. I have Photoshop Elements on my iMac. I'm taking a photo editing class and would like it on my MacAir. I don't think that can happen... because here are the system requirements:
    Multi-core Intel® processor
    Mac OS X v10.4.11 through 10.5.8 or Mac OS X v10.6
    512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
    64MB of video RAM
2GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation
    1,024x768 display resolution
    DVD-ROM drive
QuickTime 7 software required for multimedia features
Internet connection required for Internet-based services
I did buy that Apple disk drive for it but it doesn't have an intel processor does it? Is there any way I can do this?
Thanks for any help. (clearly i'm a computer novice)

    Hi,

  • Lightroom 2 and Photoshop Elements 6 Organiser

    Hi:-)
I have had a look at a friend's set up with Lightroom and CS3, and I have decided to use Lightroom myself.
However, at present I do not use, (and do not intend to use!) CS3, and instead use Photoshop Elements 6.0. My editing skills are limited, and Elements offers what I need for my RAW files. I prefer the workflow and categorising facilities of Lightroom, which is why I am buying it.
My question is, can I easily convert my existing PSE 6.0 catalog into Lightroom, or perhaps it will automatically subsume it? I would prefer to discontinue the PSE Organiser, but retain the Editor function. I think they are 2 separate programs, but would welcome anybody's opinion as to whether this is likely to cause me problems.
    Many thanks
    Alan
