Photoshop CS3 Crashes Upon Opening Any File

Question

I am having an issue with Photoshop CS3. The application starts properly in it's own, but as soon as I open a file of any sort I immediately get the following message:
Photoshop.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c91b21" referenced memory at "0x000000010". The memory could not be "written".
The application then quits.
All of the other Adobe applications in the Suite work perfectly fine. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software and I still get the same error.
I tried the Adobe Support number but they won't help because it's CS3. Would love to own 4 or 5 but that's not possible for me at the moment.
I also tried a quick google search but answers/solution seemed to be all over the place, although I did unsuccessfully try a few.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
