Photoshop CS3 doesnt open more than one photo

I have win XP + Adobe CS 3 Standard installed on my pc: when i open more than one photo at the same time with Photoshop CS3, the application immediately close.
I have two pc with the same configuration and i have the same problem. Note that i have Adobe CS2 installed + upgrade to Adobe CS 3. If i use Photoshop CS 2 i dont have trouble. Thanks,

Thanks Freeagent
Unfortunately this did not work
I have subsequently reinstalled (ie repair) - no help
What seems to be happening is that I open 1 photo from Bridge - work on it - close it or go to print - then close then cannot open another photo
Didn't happen with CS2
Any further ideas? Thanks

    Hi
I don't know if anyone can help me, but I am having an issue with Photoshop CC (2014), I cannot open more than none photo at a time, and keep getting the attached error.
It has been working fine, until i have tried it this evening.

There's something wrong with your system.
    Please give detailed information.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
A screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
    etc.,

  • Photoshop can't open more than one graphic at a time without crashing

    I get the error:
The instruction at "0x7c918af2" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".
Anytime I try to open more than one image in Photoshop at a time, regardless of how I do it - doesn't matter if I choose the image and "open in photoshop" or if I am in photoshop and go to "file/open".
It's Photoshop CS3. I have already uninstalled, restarted the computer and reinstalled. I tried to "repair/change" from Windows, but it asks for the CS3 cd and then CS4, which I don't have since I'm using CS3.
This is quite frustrating as it would be nice to be able to merge photos and the myriads of other things you can do with multiple images at once, if opening them does not crash your program.

OK, kinda slooow here, I hope I'm not trying your patience!? If I understand you correctly, install dummy drivers and then the drivers that came with my printer, Designating NO default printer! Then when I need to use the printer I will have to declare which one each and every time?
Or, just intall by new printer but do not Delcare it as the Default printer, I guess in this instance there would be NO default printer?
You may not even have the problem!
Have you installed the new printer yet?
There are many more people who don't see it happen than those who do.
PS: there is always a default printer.

  • CS5 Will not open more than one photo/file simultaneously

In CS5, when I select more than one image to open together, only the last image in the selected group opens. Also, when I select "new" to open a new page on whitch to paste multiple copies of an open image, the open image deletes. Have never had this problem in previous versions of PS and version CS3 that I have kept until I get CS5 to function, works fine completing these functions. I couldn't find any setting in preferences to resolve this issue.
I am using CS5 on a Mac running Snow Leapord OS10.6.8

  • Error - Can't open more than one image in CS3

My Photoshop CS3 was working fine until all of a sudden it no longer lets me open more than one image at a time without crashing. Anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it?

    Hi,
There may be two issues you have to check:
    1) The " scratch disk" feature in photoshop(usually gets full). Go to preferences - performance. Also check how much RAM PS is using.
    2) Printer Communication: sometimes Photoshop is unable to communicate with the default printer(may be unstable drivers, out of date etc). Network computers also make some issues
If you want to read more about this follow this link:

They talk about the issues I mentioned here. Let me know if you found this information useful.

  • Can't open more than one file at once (Indesign CS3)

    hi there
I have to deal with a strange problem, every time (well actually randomly) I try to open more than one indesign file at once, indesign just stays in the background and I can't get it to show up.
the only thing I can to is force quite the application and restart indesign. Sometimes I'm able to see one of the open documents but I can't do anything with it (as there are no tools and no other indesign windows).
Im not the only one having this problem, my work mate just updated his osx from 10.4 to 10.5, and now he is having the same problems...
    any suggestions why that is?
    cheers
(my system: mac 2x2.66ghz dual-core intel xeon, 1gb ram, osx 10.5.2, indesign cs3
my work mates system: mac G5, 1gb ram, indesign cs3, osx 10.5.2)

Every system has issues when its first released.
What's the point of jumping to a new system on a production machine when everything works perfectly in the old system?
Monitor these forums and other boards and as soon as Apple and Adobe have a fix jump to the new system.

  • Opening more than one file in Photoshop CS5

Feeling rather silly! Have used Photoshop for many years — and in fact taught it to many.
I am unable to open more than one doc at a time. If I open one, when I open the second one it replaces the first one.
It is essential for what I do to be able to have more than one doc open at a time.
Am I missing something that is right before my eyes?

How are you supposed to know this stuff — no manual??
The manual is available for download.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2790684#2790684
Albeit it seems to be incomplete …
Anyway that stuff (and the Application Frame) was introduced in CS4 and did cause some confusion then, too.

  • How to open more than one RAW-File by drag&drop/doubleclick with CS2?

    Hello,
is it possible to open more than one RAW-file from iPhoto with Photoshop's RAW-converter in just one single step? If I drag&drop my selection to my Photoshop-Icon, PS opens just the iPhoto-created library-JPGs of the RAW-files but not the RAWs itself (I've turned out the copyying of the imported photos to the iPhoto-library. Instead iPhoto seems to create a JPG for the library from every RAW I import). If I doubleclick a selection of RAWs in iPhoto just the doubleclicked RAW-File will be opened in Photoshop. Is it possible to select more than one RAW-file in iPhoto and get Photoshop to open all the selected RAWs but not the JPGs? It would make my work a lot easier... thank you.

    hello
try selecting the photos that you want however many- go, File then Export.
you can make all your file selections image size etc and then save them direct to your PS file.
    hope this helps.

  • How do I attach more than one photo to an email?

How can I attach more than one photo to an email?

Yes. With the mail you want to attch the photos to open, tap and hold in the body of the email. One of the Menu ittems will be Insert Photo or Video. Tap that, Select the photo, Tap Use. Repeat for each photo.

  • Select and Drag More Than One Photo

I can no longer select and drag more than one photo at a time. With one photo it works fine. If I select more than one, I can't move them, so I have to add pictures to albums one at a time, which is rather tedious.
This has only started happening recently. Possibly after updating to 10.6.8????
    Anu ideas please?
    iPhoto09, v8.1.2

Then I would try a reinstall:
    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Placing More Than One Photo On A Page

Can you add in the scrapbook format more than one photo per page?
I have a friend who wants me to create a DVD for him with over 500 photos, and the only way I can cheat it is by placing two photos together in Photoshop, then putting the large JPG in the stage. It looks pretty hokey, though.
So, I am wondering if there is a setting where you can get two places to insert a photo on to a page, rather than the standard one that they give you.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Gail,
Without using 3rd party plug-ins, this feature is not available in iMovie HD. However, using the built-in effect N-Square (under Editing - Video FX), it's possible to have multiple copies of the same photo on screen - this varies from a minimum of 4 up to a maximum of 64. You could then add titles (text) as desired, using one of the supplied titles. However, this works with only the one photo - not with several different photos on screen at the same time, which is my understanding of what you want to do.
For 3rd party plug-ins, try the Slick Volumes available from GeeThree here:
    http://www.geethree.com/slick/
Another way to create the effect you are looking for is to use an application like Keynote. Here you can create slides containing various photos and text on a range of backgrounds. These can be exported, then imported to iMovie. Let me know if you need help with this option.

  • Is it possible to email more than one photo at a time with the iPhone? Thanks

Is it possible to send more than one photo in an email using with the iPhone? Thank you in advance for your help

Yes.  Open your camera roll in the thumbnail view, tap the arrow button on the top right, tap all of the photos you want included in your email, tap Share at the bottom, tap Email.  Note: all email providers have limits on the size of emails that are permitted so be careful not to try to add too many or it may not be delivered.
