Photoshop cs3 Photo Gallery

I have made a photo gallery for a webpage but when it loaded it rearranged the photos in a different order, how can I make sure they go in the order I want and not what the computer wants.?

I just tried it and it worked. Make sure you follow all the steps:
1. Drag the pictures into the desired order in Bridge.
2. Select them so they are all highlighted.
3. Go to Tools > Photoshop > Web Photo gallery...
4. Pick a Style and as source use Selected Images from Bridge.
5. Set Destination and press OK.

    Dear members,
My name is Rotem Katz and I'm a photographer. Recently, I'm having a big problem with my photography site.
The site is built by an HTML web pages technique. The Photoshop Web Photo Gallery created 8 galleries for me. [Each category has it high and low resolutions. (according to the resolutions I picked)]. Everything went well so far. Until one day, my antivirus decided to discover a lagre virus in these galleries. since then, it's been a big problem for computers with serious antivirus to get in to my site, because it throws them out from it. Several days afterwards, the galleries got completly crazy. My firefox do not allow me to get in to it, and other viewers syas that the gallerires do not excist.
I'm adding 2 Prtscns of the notifications i get. (important to say the the site is ok. only when I press the PORTFOLIO button or when I pick low or high resolution, it gets crazy). [In othe words - only when I press a 'link' to the photoshop web gallery].
    Google Chrome pop up:
    Firefox PORTFOLIO:

that's between you, your anti-virus and your web server. You'll probably have to copy all the files from the server to your computer and scan them (though the anti-virus should pick up the viruses when you copy the files, it's best to also manually scan them). After you found out which files are infected, delete them from the server. Can't give you specifics because each anti-virus and server is differently set up.

  • Bridge/Photoshop CS3 Web Gallery Question

Hi There, I have a question about the Photoshop cs3 Flash Gallery, particularly the flashobject.js file and index.html file.  Whenever I try and open the finished Flash Gallery HTML page, I get a message that says "Please upgrade your Flash player" and "Already have Flash player installed? Click Here."  Is there a way that I can remove that and just have it go to the Flash Gallery?  I notice that it says Flash Player 6 but that is an old version.  I am not very knowledgeable in javascript so any help would be appreciated.

    Ellen,
I replied to your identical thread in the Bridge forum this morning.

  • How to upload photoshop Web photo Gallery to iWeb 1.1.2

I have a great iWeb Photography site and it's linked to the web through my domain name only- just thru Forwarding. I want to use the Photoshop CS2Web Gallery feature and have created a sample folder. How do I link it to open in my website?
So far, I created the box, chose to hyperlink it to an external page and typed in page name that the Web Photo Gallery gave it and then I go thru the website- it goes to the gallery home page, but shows no photos, just the little question mark boxes. I'm pretty non-technical about this. Any help is great. I can't find the answers through Adobe help. I thought this was going to be easier...

Hi, I too, am a beginner and I'm trying to create a simple
website and want to include a photo gallery as well. I just
discovered the "Create a Web Photo Gallery" in Photoshop CS3 and I
was just wondering the same thing. How do you get it in into
Dreamweaver and into your site? I hope someone answers this
    question.

  • Photoshop CS3 web gallery bugs(?); vanishing metadata, bad sort order

Running OS 1.5.4 on 24" Imac, I'm attempting to generate a "horizontal slideshow" from bridge-selected files in Photoshop CS3.
[Sounded like the problem in this post: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b5a9fe/2 but on re-reading I've decided it's different so I'm giving it it's own thread, with more detail...]
    Here's my experience:
    1) Description and title show up for a second on the first slide, then revert to just the blank template on that and all subsequent slides (title: [blank] description: [blank]....
Hitting "refresh" produces the descriptive metadata for a tantalizing moment, then it' s back to the blank template for this and all subsequent slides. It does this both for Safari and Firefox.
You can view this behavior in a slideshow at http://oasisdesign.net/projects/earthtoilet/
If it asks for a password, use---
    user:earthling
    pass: draf1 )
    "preserve all metadata" is checked.
I've tried all combinations of checking/ unchecking "title, description, filename" for labeling...also, making slideshows with just one or two slides to reduce the chance that it's a weird character issue of the type some other folks have experienced...
    2) additionally, the web gallery is not respecting the manual sort order in Bridge, which is the source of the files. The help files say the slideshow should follow the manual sort order in Bridge.
    3) Finally, metadata entered in bridge metadata tab sometimes vanishes, sometimes metadata entered in file info wouldn't show in the metadata tab.
    Thanks for your help!!
    Art
BTW, here's the related issues I found:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b5a9fe/2
...After some investigation, I found that the descriptions were disappearing only for photos that had a Return / Line Break in the description. If you go back and make sure all of your descriptions are a single line, it works fine....
=Don't have line breaks, nor "and" nor &...
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bff9de1/0
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bd62ec3/0

OK...here's the hack I used to get around what I'm now totally convinced are program bugs and shortcomings relative to advertised functionality, for anyone else who has to deal with this, followed by my (suggested fixes to Adobe)...
    1) Sort everything the way you want in bridge.
    2) Make meta descriptions w/o weird characters (a warning here would be helpful)
    3) Use "batch rename," with "copy to another folder" to give the images totally plain vanilla, DOS-style file names (001.jpg, 002.jpg...). This solves most filename issues and the works around web gallery's failure to recognize bridge sort order in one go. Note that you can irrevocably screw up the names of all your original files if you're not very careful to COPY at this step.
([a] make the bridge sort work directly, as advertised, por favor. [b] add an error message or warning about file names such as 006-(2).jpg causing malfunction. A compassionate, low-effort short-term patch for Mac users of web gallery, especially since bridge generates that particular sort name itself invisibly and automatically if you move a file with the same name into a folder)
    4) Use "white on black" instead of bug-ridden "horizontal slideshow" (horizontal slideshow should be fixed or deleted from the next version...multiple slideshow options would be awesome, as they advance automatically at the max rate the user's bandwidth allows, a very attractive feature)
    5) Restrict all images to the same height so users can click *in the same spot* to advance the 200 images with less carpal tunnel (the advance arrow should *always* be in the same spot, for every web gallery, IMHO)
Web galleries are a fantastic tool for sharing information easily...I hope to see some evolution in those great automatic updates someday...

  • Loading a Photoshop Web Photo Gallery into a Flash Movieclip

I created a photogallery in Photoshop, but I want it to load
into a movieclip in Flash and not load into it's own page. When I
use the loadMovie() command I get an error opening the
galleryconfig.xml file. When I move that file into the main web
page file, I then get an error opening the photos.xml file. So I
move that too into the main web page file. And then I get the error
opening thumbnails/.jpg. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure it's a pathing
issue since the gallery works fine on it's own. But I'm not sure
what I need to change to get it to work when it imports. Any help
    would be much appreciated.
    thanks,
    liz

    Hi,
I am not sure that this will help, as i never tried to do
what you are doing, But, i think your best option woul be to create
the pic/gallery in flash and i would think that would solve your
    problem.
In Flash 8 there is a premade photo Gallery all you need to
do is to add the pics.
Otherwise, you can create yours in flah!!
    Hope this helps!

  • Photoshop flash photo gallery

I downloaded the source files for the Flash Web Photo
Gallery-1 from the Adobe site, and exported the fla file without
any changes to flash 6.0 which should be the same as the one that
comes with photoshop. When I loaded the page into the browser, the
header text did not load (Gallery name, Photographer, etc.). There
is also a problem with the meta data that shows up when you hover
over the picture or click the info button. The size of the lines is
    reduced to about 3 pixels.
My main reason for all this is to stop showing the meta data
when the mouse is over the picture and limit it only to prssing the
info button. I am not very good in flash, but I found the place
where this happens and I commented the fadein fadeout functions. I
got the result I wanted but with these problems.
Is there a way to fix this?

el.lucky.lucasik, the xml files have specific settings that
you can change. The photos.xml file includes the meta tags that
appear on the pictures. If you delete all the meta tags, the file
    name appears.
The setting I want to change is in the ActionScript. I did
the change, and was able to get what I wanted. BUT, when I exported
the .fla file, there were some issues, mainly those mentioned in my
    initial post.
My problem now is not changing the settings, but exporting
    the file.

  • Photoshop - Web Photo Gallery

    Hello,
How can I save Web Photo Gallery in PHP format instead of HTML
or in .PHP extension instead of .HTML?
    Thanks,
    Simon

Has anyone figured this out? Would be grateful!

  • Photoshop CS3 Web Gallery Hosting

    Hi there,
I'm fairly new to HTML and flash altogether (just took up IT classes). I bought the Adobe web premium pack, which came with a nifty video tutorial guide.
Through those tutorials, i quickly learned how to create a web gallery with PS CS3... which leads me to the next question, one which i found myself asking just a few seconds after the end of the tutorial: Now what?
I have a folder with the .html or in my case .fla gallery which works and looks fine on my computer, but i have no idea how to host it on the net, even with dreamweaver.
Watching through other tutorials, i learned how to import a .fla file into dreamweaver, but how does one import an entire flash gallery?
Or simpler yet, how can i get this web gallery online? (quick and dirty, doesn't matter as long as it gets done)
A quick response would really be appreciated, i've been scratching my head over this for the last 4-5 hours, thanks!

    Hi Justin,
I am also new, but I know how to upload files to a site, so I'm going to attempt to help you. It's very easy if you've ever uploaded files to a server. Have you? Because you simply upload all the files created by Photoshop to the server using Fetch. Be sure you load your folders as well. To upload folder go to the Remote item and pull down until it says Put folders and files. Then add the folders you need to upload, click done and click new folder.
The problem I'm having is that my web site gallery isn't displaying properly. If you have this part figured out, please help. I'm getting a space above the site, I'm getting a couple icons in that space including a box and a question mark within a diamond. The controls are not visible. Anyone, I could use some help. [email address deleted for privacy]
    Thanks,
    Edie

  • Large images from Photoshop Web Photo Gallery appear blurred

The images in question are here: http://www.johnmaclean.com/OR/
I see a MAJOR improvement if I Control click an image and "Open Image in New Window". Firefox and Internet Explorer both look fine.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

i think the way the html code is written for the page that the picture may be squished into a space that is smaller than the actually photo. However, I'm no html expert i could be wrong. Hope this helps

  • Photoshop CS3 Photo Restore Retouch

Hello - I can fix most of this damaged image using healing brush, clone tool, painting brush - however it's the group in the middle I am uncertain how to approach.
The woman especially - I did start on her hair however the face and neck is totally speckled with damage particulate - up close I loose definition of the smile, the eyes, and so forth ...if I could get a hint on how to correct those damaged areas that would be most helpful. Thank!

Really hard to tell with the size of the image posted.  With speckles, you could to duplicate the layer use the dust and scratches filter, then set that layer's blend mode to darken.  Mask it out entirely then just paint in the areas on a mask.  For retouching, have you tried retouchpro.com?  There are a lot ot talented folks on that site with great advise on retouching.

  • DreamWeaver CS3 Web Photo Gallery Help

I bought the Adobe Web Design package to put together a good
(hope springs eternal) Web site to showcase about 60 oil paintings
that are presently available at different poster sites. I am a
novice to DreamWeaver; started my basic web page. I now need to add
the photos in 6 different galleries - landscapes, waterscapes, etc.
I assumed I was going to do this in Photoshop CS3/Fireworks and
import it to the site I am building with DreamWeaver, but 2
    problems confront me:
    (1) I could not find a Photoshop CS3 photo gallery template
that allows for a text paragraph adjacent to a larger image when
clicking on thumbnails laid out on the side or the bottom of the
    page, or am I wrong?
    (2) It appears that Photoshop CS3 generates an independent
web page for the photo gallery - is it even possible to import a
photoshop cs3 web gallery into an existing DreamWeaver CS3 web
    page?
Appreciate any info in this area. Thanks.

Dunno as I do not have CS3; but I've used Photoshop a lot to
    generate
galleries, then I modify them. I think your main sticking
    point is
that you haven't found a Photoshop gallery that is close to
    what you
    want, is that correct?

What's to import? Photoshop outputs web pages and DW edits
    web pages.
    Edit away.

  • Web Photo Gallery legacy files CS6 PS

Before purchasing PS CS6, I want to confirm that I will still be able to load the legacy Web Photo Galleries on the program. Anyone know? Thx.

I need something that will write in the description that I have in the meta data area for each file.  That's the most work for me and hoping bridge or ps will generate that for me.
Yes that was a good feature of Photoshop  Web Photo Gallery feature as was it ability to stamp you with you Copyright Info..  Unfortunately Adobe did not implement that in their  lame Bridge output module.  The Web Galleries that it can generate has very limited customization options.  While it may generate SimpleViewer Flash Web galleries the can easy display descriptions Adobe did not choose to implement image description.
An Adobe employee named Jeff Tranberry wrote a Photoshop Script to generate SimpleViewer Galleries that can be downloaded from the SimpleViewer Web Site.   I modified that script to use image files meta-data like Photoshop Web Photo Gallery feature did for a couple of Flash Gallery viewers.  The two I use are SimpleViewer and WS-Slideshow.  What nice about Flash Galleries viewers is they will resize images to fit into the user browsers window you do not need to have multiple sizes of your images on your web server.  A user can resize their browsers window to see your image larger or smaller.  You choos the image quality a can see most of my images are quite large fitten to 1600x1200. WS-Slideshow  Example http://www.mouseprints.net/albums/ Note: I hide WS-Slideshow menu bar hover the mouse over the bottom of an image to use it. Some albums have discription and other options.
However Apple mobile iOS devices do not have Flash support and I sure more mobile platforms will loose Flash support for Adobe is not developing Flash for mobile devices any more.  I do not care some mobile devices can not view my images.
My free Gallery Photoshop Script and other Photoshop packages can be downloaded from my web site click the link below.

I have read the other threads on related topics and still

    How can I accomplish this?
If it is not possible, I would appreciate it if someone can

    Ah,  restart the program!
I just loaded my actions set from wherever they're stored on my hard drive - a directory somewhere for Photoshop stuff.
Restarted PS-CS4 and... voila, actions work.  Didn't think I needed to do that.
    Love simple solutions.
