Photoshop CS3 stoped working and all other adobe programs as well
Well i tried updating my photo shop and it than restarted and i became impatient and stopped it after it restarted. later i tried to use photoshop and it said "Adobe photoshop CS3 has stopped working" and than under "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly windows will close the ptogram and notify you if a solution is available" so i than tried to reinstall with out uninstalling first and it still didn't work. does any one know how to fix this? your help would greatly be appreciated!
again, couldn't hurt.
slightly off topic but, i've had nothing but grief from reader 8. i can't view pdfs in the browsers anymore, it just hangs and hangs. maybe it'll come up eventually but after a minute, if i need to see it bad enough i'll kill acro32 process and just download it and view it from the desktop.

I went in and deleted Cached files after repeatedly getting the 'scratch disks are full' message. I have done this before and have had no issues. However, this time it comes up with a crash message whenever I open Premiere Pro 6. All other Adobe programs are working fine.
Does anyone know what could be wrong? Have I accidentally deleted something crucial? How can I fix this?If you have a 64bit Windows adding more ram will allow Windows to use that ram, and provide more to CS4

Photoshop CS4 Crashes When Opening Image - Other Adobe Programs Work
I'm at the end of my rope here.
The problem is (that has spontaneously occurred) is that Photoshop CS4 opens fine. I go to Open, select image, it loads it on screen for a few seconds ,and then I get this Photoshop has stop working and it closes out - no error codes or explanations.
I have updated.
I have reinstalled with a clean it all up program beforehand.
The Open GL drawing is disabled.
I have reset preferences.
Other Adobe programs (e.g., Premiere Pro) work fine.
Nothing particularly new or special done to computer except that I changed from AVG Antivirus to Microsoft Security Essentials.
Windows is updated (I'm Vista - 32bit).
Is the problem my driver (a NVDIA GeForce 6150 nforce 430)? It's updated to the current version, do I need to find the download for an older version and go back in time?
I have only 2GM in RAM (there's plenty of room on the hard drive btw), but I can't spend more money on this 3 yr + computer. Do I need to set my RAM preferences differently?
And I've not had this problem before, it's always worked.
To prevent me from losing my mind any further, any help would be appreciated. If OpenGL drawing is disabled, then the video driver isn't too likely. Most of the problems in drivers show up with OpenGL drawing enabled.
But printer drivers and fonts can sometimes cause issues.
And there's always a chance that the video driver is failing at something simple (like drawing a menu or cursor). -

Though you say it is Ati, your Dxdiag jpg shows that you have (VGA) no driver for your "Chip Type": Nvidia hardware.
Pasted Printout (below) from my run of Dxdiag shows more normal scenario. If you press "Save All Information" tab, may be more info regards "Display Devices".
Your Bootcamp (4.0 etc.) updates run in Windows should have updated video, audio etc. drivers.

This first started happening RIGHT AWAY after I downloaded CC on my previous iMac.
After downloading a program from CC I could use it like once or twice, and then it would just stop opening. The opening icon pops up for a millisecond in the bottom right corner, and then dissapears and doesn't open the program.
I tried to uninstall the application, and then have to install it again... Sometimes that worked, but it would always stop working again after a try or two.
So then I tried uninstalling CC and ALL other Adobe files in order to cleanly download ALL the programs again.
And guess what, after 1 or 2 uses the program would stop working again.
Maybe it was my computer, I thought?
Well I just switched to a brand new Mac Pro, have been using it for 1 day, and guess what - NOW PREMIERE WON'T OPEN.
This is incredibly annoying.
Why is there not a manual update or "fix" function in yout CC app for each program specifically?

Mac freezing when using Photoshop or other Adobe programs
Hey guys I'm having some issues with Photoshop and some other Adobe programs (After Effects, Premiere). These programs are on version CS6 and work fine until maybe 10-20 minutes later it freezes the whole computer. I can't move anything, it just freezes. It's only with Adobe programs, that's why I'm here.
Help?If the whole computer freezes, you're looking at OS, hardware, or low level driver problems.
The most common cause is bad RAM. But we've also seen it caused by bad motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, and power supplies.
Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere share very little code.
So what you're saying is that programs that move a lot of memory and use the GPU extensively are causing the machine to freeze.
That still means it could be the RAM, CPU, motherboard, or GPU. -
Adobe Illustrator trial won't download, but other Adobe programs will
I try to download Adobe Illustrator and it won't download at all. All other Adobe programs are fully downloaded and functioning.
Hi 2116carly,
What happens when you try to download, do you get any error message?
Are you trying to downloads from Creative Cloud Desktop application?
What is the Operating system you are using?
You can also try the direct download link:
Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links – Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools
These are some instructions you need to follow before downloading, please read the instructions before downloading the application.
Thanks,

I installed indesign CS5 on new macbook pro and keeps freezing with spinning wheel once the app opens. Is there an issue with OS Mav or font issue or a plist I can pull. All other Adobe products work.
Migration should never be done with any Adobe program.
If you have done Migration, you have to UNINSTALL first (if even possible) and then download Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and run that also. When this is done, restart your computer and install the programs from an original Adobe Installer.
Other question is, if your OS is supporting that version. You can try it, it is not officially supported, but it might work.
But CC will work, upgrade to CC2014 (without additional cost), use that as it is better anyway. -

The Camera Raw button in my Adobe Bridge has quit working and all my raw files are hidden by a cover that says PEF and has a camera raw icon on it. I can open the files in camera raw if I double click on the file but I want to see the files and be able to use the camera raw button. How can I fix it?
This means you have not the correct ACR plug in to support your PEF files or no ACR plug in installed at all.
In photoshop go to the menu Photoshop / About Plug ins / Camera Raw.
Here should be showing the version number of your ACR plug in (only 1 version should show btw)
Then go to this site and check wether your camera is listed and what minimal version you need to open the files:

My copy of Photoshop CS3 has stopped working. I love it. I am very familiar with it. I paid hundreds of dollars for it. When I click on it (W/my MAC) I get a message that reads: "You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the product by contacting Adobe Customer Support."
So how do I repair it so it works again? I've called the "Chat" forum three times and they do nothing. Please help...I use this Photoshop CS3 for work.
I have the serial number, but not the original disc which was damaged.
Thank you in advance.
Rob Taylor
I am trying to run it under Mac OS 10.9.5The simplest way to clear it up is usually a re-install. Here is a link to the installers: Download CS3 products. Have your serial number ready.
If this fails, I am going to direct you to this thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1714695 Start at post #11.

I created a multi-layered Photoshop file and the backgroud layer changed to gray and all other layers whacked out. I tried reopening it and restarting photoshop. What happened to my file?
Your file is most likely toast, but still:
BOILERPLATE TEXT:
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.

It's one of those problems where it works like one minute, and then suddenly stops working the next. I know for a fact it has to do with the flash player in some way. I've had this problem before and found the solution, but for some reason i cant find it again, and forgot how i solved it. I've tried to redownload both adobe flash player and firefox but it didnt solve anything, disabling adblock doesnt help, disabling the hardware acceleration a little but useless difference, i have tried to disable the flash player add-ons and enabled them, both dont work, i only have 1 version of flashplayer( the most recent), and I am too frustrated to keep searching for an answer that is correct, when all i can find are the wrong ones over and over again . If anyone knows how to solve the problem where the FIREFOX(only) browser shows youtube as having the error " an error has occurred. Please try again later. " and all other videos and ads have a white blank screen, PLEASE help
also, everything works on google chrome and IEalso, the last solution i had didnt require me to install an earlier version of flashplayer or firefox, and it was the same problem
