Photoshop CS3 unable to deactivate

Hello,
I need to activate the product on a new Mac, but unfortunately on the old PC on the Help menu Deactivate is NOT present.
How can I do?
I tried to do the Phone Activation and it says that I have reached the limit of available activations

I tried to call, but my English is not very fluent with the technical support then we have not understood.
Then I tried via chat support site and luckily I have clarified everything; in my case the problem was not the serial number, but the image used to install PS on the Mac, they gave me a link to a different version of the dmg (always CS3 Ext) and with this I was able to solve my problem.

ACR 5 will NOT work with CS3, only with CS4.
For CS3
and your camera you need ACR 4.6, a nominally beta Release Candidate downloadable from Adobe Labs.

Unable to deactivate CS3 products to move to new laptop

Can't deactivate CS3 products see chat script which was useless and a waste of time Deactivation box keeps coming back no connection but I was chatting with agent at the same time.

Hey Ned many thanks for responding. Well before I wasted more time on chat I tried and deactivated again but no success. Then pinged www.adobe.activatie.com a couple of times - tried again and hey presto it burst into life. I have a cabled network connection so don't know what happened. Tried the same with Dreamweaver as well as Photoshop CS3 and also worked. Perhaps they had a glitch with their server? Any way reinstalled - set date to 01/11/2011 for updates and now all back up and running on new computer. Well Adobe support for me was crap which is a shame when their statement on support is so positive. I've spent thousands with Adobe over the years but I'll think hard before I get spend any more unless they up their support game.

Unable to open CR2 photos in Photoshop CS3.

I am unable to open some very important wedding CR2 files in Photoshop CS3. What specific updates do I need to fix this? The raw photoUns were shot on a Canon 70D. The photos were shot in low lighting so I shot in a large format that I don't typically use. I feel that I have tried several updates available through Adobe but have been unsuccessful.

No, no, no! Don't do that. Older versions don't even support your camera.
The DNG Converter does not work on files, it won't even see them. It works only on FOLDERS. Do not point it at the files but at the FOLDER(s) that contain said files.

Photoshop CS3 crashes when I try to deactivate it

I will deactivate and delete Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1 German) and then install Photoshop CS5.
I use Mac Pro Early 2009 and Mac OS 10.6.3 (German).
When I start the deactivation (menu help) Photoshop crashes directly.
I have start the Mac with Shift-Key; I have started it as root; I have checked the disk permissions. No success.

I understand now that the procedure is probably the reason.
I was just experimenting as LAB colours are colours we see through our eyes, while RGB, CMYK etc are "computer" colours and so I use LAB colours a lot, before switching back to RGB.
I normally switch to LAB mode and click on the Lightness channel, then play with adjustments of that channel. This time I decided to mess around and see what would happen if I removed all channels except the Lightness one....
Converting to greyscale for me is not enough unfortunately and LAB B+W provides much better contrast and tone than hitting CTRL+Shift+U to greyscale.
Again, I understand what you say, my point being though that Photoshop should not crash because I incorrectly remove the channels, perhaps a warning to tell me I can't do it would be better.
I'll pass this onto Adobe anyway.

Unable to activate Photoshop CS3

I am trying to activate Photoshop CS3. It has been some time, but I think my last computer with the program installed suffered a hard drive crash, so I was not able to deactivate the license before it was re-imaged. When I try to use the activation built into the program, I just get an error that there is no connection (I tried both over our network and with a mi-fi card). I tried to activate by phone, and I just got a non-specific error that activation failed.
The only options support gave me were chat (which is not available) and the forums.
Any ideas?

Try resetting the Photoshop preference file: Press and hold Cmd+Opt+Shift and start Photoshop. Select "yes" when asked if you would like to continue with reset.

Photoshop CS3 deactivate

I installed photoshop CS3 into one of my computers and wanted to install into another computer but was denied. I was instructed to deactivate from original computer that I thought I did but was incorrectly done and now I cannot install photoshop into either computer.? What can I do at this stage to get it into one of my computer? Thanks.

You need to call Adobe Activation and explain the situation to them. They will issue you a new activation code.

To deactivate old photoshop cs3 serial code's

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently stumbled upon 2 older photoshop CS3 boxes at our office.
when i tried to install one of these and activate use one of the two serial codes i got the error message saying the codes need to be deactivated first.
As far as i know it the codes are currently not in use by anyone in the office, al employees that use photoshop were upgraded to CS5 last year (wich we have 5 pcs.)
I have the following problems with the licences.
both of the photoshop CS3 serials are:
* not registrated to any of our employees
* not registrated to any of our pc / laptops
Now i am wondering how i can deactivate these two codes.
And truly hop u can help me figuring this one out.

No deactivate option in photoshop cs3

I can't find the help-deactivate option in photoshop cs3. I need to deactivate to install on another pc.

I have tried the repairing option, but it came back the same.
The serial number can't be register on the second computer either.

I have a Nikon D5200 which according to adobe it is supported but when I try to download a camera raw patch 8bi it wont recognise the file format.Can anyone offer a solution which will enable me to use photoshop with my D5200 when shooting in raw? Thank you for your help I have already downloaded ACR 8.7 and tried to download DNG converter will have to back track on this as didnt recognise the file when I downloaded it. is the problem now that I need to change my files to DNG from NEF files before opening in photoshop?
Please be patient as I seem to have got the jist of the problem but not sure the converter is on my computer what should I be looking for?

Photoshop CS3 Camera Raw Update: unable to open Nikon D5200 Raw files

I have a Nikon D5200, so I cannot view my raw files (.NEF) files in photoshop CS3 and I downloaded the Camera Raw 4.6 update, and installed it using the manual installation instructions found here: Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows : Camera Raw 4.6 update. After restarting photoshop and attempting to open a .NEF file, I still receive the error "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. I have also tried previous updates (4.5 and 4.4.1) and they have also not worked. How can I fix this?

The D5200 is supported in Camera Raw 7.3 and later. Older versions of Camera Raw cannot read D5200 Raw files.

How to deactivate unwanted Photoshop CS3 installations?

I posted the following question a couple of months ago:
"I still own a copy of Adobe CS3 Design Premium, but it is not currently installed on any computers as far as I know. Nevertheless, after installing Photoshop CS3 on my old G4 powerbook, I could not activate the program. Adobe thinks that there are two existing installations (the maximum allowed); but, in reality, there are none. Does Adobe have some way of remotely deactivating these supposed installations so that I can use my software? If so, who would I contact? If not, what else can I do?"
Someone suggested that I try the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. This did not help. Someone else said that there would be a phone number on the "cannot activate" screen. There is no phone number.
Can someone please tell me who to call about this? Adobe telephone tech support won't talk to me unless I give them money, which I should not have to do.
Suggestions appreciated.

Call Adobe Technical Support and indicate that there is an activation issue. There is no charge to deal with this type of issue, even for much older versions. The right to activate the software is for totally open-ended, unless you already used the version of this software to upgrade to a newer version. If the initial agent gives you problems, insist on speaking with a supervisor.
