If I understand your question you want to repeat one image 8 times in one signle page PDF. I do not know for such script that is available. What I can recommend you is to create manually layout in Photoshop and save as PDF. To automate proccess and use same layout but to replace image which is in use with some other, you can use Variables or Actions. Thats only advice I can give you at this time. Actually easiest way to automate things and replace images is to Create Smart Object then to clone it 7 times (Ctrl + J or right click > Duplicate Layer). When you have cloned Smart Objects, replacing content in one of Smart Object will reflect to all other clones. Create layout. When you want to replace existing image with some other use right click on Smart Object > Replace Contents or Layer > Smart Objects > Replace Contents.. Be aware of image (which will replace existing) size and resolution, Photoshop will also scale image which will replace existing to match existing image scaling in percentage. Read this tutorial for more explanation how Replace Contents works http://adobephotoshopsecrets.blogspot.com/2011/01/replace-contents-command-in-adobe.html

  • Snow Leopard contact sheet layout changes possible?

Unable to change contact sheet layout to suit my needs. E.g. I want 6 photos per page in two columns. The default option for two columns seems to be 2 or 4 photos/page. Ask for six and it creates two pages. The layout within the contact sheet seems to have lost some of the flexibility that OSX Leopard had. Is there something that I am overlooking?

    Thanks for your response.
This what I do without getting the results I would like for 8.5x11 paper:
    1. I select 6 photos
    2. Hit "Print"
    3. Select "Contact Sheet" - the 6 photos are shown at the top of the 'page' in two rows.
    4. Select "Customize"
    5. Select "2 columns" (in the hope of getting the 6 photos arranged on one sheet - with the sheet in portrait format. Instead I get 4 photos on one sheet and lots of blank space.
    6. Select "Layout" icon. I see a sheet with 12 rectangles and a "1" in the margin. I am unable to make changes to the layout as shown.
Hopefully I have described my situation well enough for you.
    Thanks

  • Cs4 contact sheet

I'm working in Windows 8 with Photoshop CS4.  I've copied it to the locations, per the instructions.  I did it on my previous computer.  I've gotten the extract filter to work, but I can't get the contact sheet to show up in automate.  Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

    This is what you downloaded?

You put the 32 bit plugins in the 32 bit version of cs4 and the 64 bit plugins in the 64 bit version of cs4?
There are separate folders in the downloaded for both 32 and 64 bit plugins and if you have a 64 bit version of windows 8, you
should have both the 32 and 64 bit versions of photoshop cs4 installed.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (32 bit version photoshop cs4)
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4  (64 bit version photoshop cs4)

  • PDF, contact sheet layout

When creating a PDF and setting the layout to have 1 column and 1 row I get a dialogue box "create gallery" and the message is "resize is undefined".  With that I am unable to save the PDF.  Any other arrangement 2x2, 4x5 etc the PDF will be completed.  Where would I go to correct this problem?

Today is one of those days for me.  I tried to answer your e-mail but it was returned.  Sorry I didn't have the information you needed for my question.
I ha a new MacBook Pro with Operating system of 10.5.6.  I have 4GB of memory and 2.66 GHz Intel core 2 duo. Video card is NVIDIA Geforce 9400M and 9600M GT.  I have the update to Photoshop 11.0.1 and am not sure about the update to the Adobe Output Module for Bridge.
I just converted form HP to Mac and cs3 to cs4.  The first time I created a PDF with CS4 Bridge there was not a problem with the format I wanted but the file was to large to send via e-mail so I went back and tried to use the low quality resolution.  When I selected "Refresh Preview" I got the "resize in undefined". I just do not know where the size should be defined.
    Thanks for you help

  • Contact Sheet - indd files

How about being able to create contact sheets that include indd files! Creating contact sheets for job folders is kind of pointless for us since it won't do indd files, hmmmm.... InDesign can't make a thumbnail from its own files? This capability would be sweet.
    Thanks!

  • How can I change the background color of a contact sheet?

I'm making my contact sheet just fine but it's on a white background, and I'd like to change it to a darker gray. This functionality existed in an earlier version of Bridge but I'm not seeing it now that contact sheet is now in Photoshop. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Say what?
Anyway in Photoshop’s Contact Sheet II just don’t check "Flatten All Layers" and you can then add the intended background to the resulting files.

  • Is it possible to change the number of rows while printing a contact sheet in Iphoto? Please help

Hi guys, I am struggling to find out how to change the number of rows on a contact sheet on Iphoto , i have selected my photos and i want it to print 6 photos on each page however I am not able to do it.      Please help me out, im a Art student and i need to submit my contact sheets for an assignment  Thanks in advance guys !!!!!

I don't think you can do that with the Contact Sheet layout.  If you have Pages or a 3rd party image editor that supports layers you can do what you want.  Or try the demo version of OmniGraffle for Mac It will run fully operational for 14 days.

  • Contact Sheet Problem

    Here is the scenario:
I start out with my standard contact sheet layout (saved)...6 columns, 6 rows, 8pt type, show file names, etc.
The file names are usually long and take up two lines. I adjust my vertical and horizontal spacing so that those file names are on two lines.
I update my contact sheet name with those perameters. But...when more than one page is required and I advance to the next page, I have to move my vertical and horizontal sliders to break the file name in to two lines. All this for every page. Even though all the specs for horizontal and vertical spacing are showing as being the same! I simply have to move each slider on every page just slightly...sometimes coming back to the same exact number that was there already! Is this a glitch???

Sorry -- missed your follow-up months ago  .
Let's either fix this or identify it as a bug.
Are you running the most recent version of Aperture?
Have you tried selecting another A4 setting?
Does it happen with another printer selected?
And -- although this is clear from your excellent description, I want to double-check -- the layout presented by Aperture is, for example, "7,8, blank, blank, 9, 10", and is not "7, 8, blank, blank, 11, 12"?  In other words, Aperture is laying out "n + b" photo locations where "n" equals the number of Images selected and "b" equals the number of blanks Aperture is adding?

  • HT1229 how do I make a contact sheet?

i want to make and organize a contact sheet with about 9 to 12 photos.  How do i do this?

What version of iPhoto do you have?  With iPhoto 9.6 select the photos you want on the contact sheet and type Command-P to start a print process.   In the Print window click on the Contact Sheet layout.  Then you can select the number of columns and, under settings, select what information to print under each photo:

  • Adusting a Contact Sheet???

    Hi,
I am trying to create a very large contact sheet with 512 columns of images. Is it possible to adjust the contact sheet script to allow me to have 512 columns rather than the maximum 100?? Or is there any other ways this could be achieved?
Any help would be much appreciated!

If you're talking about the Contact Sheet that is built into Photoshop, I don't believe that is a script, so I doubt that can be changed. If you have a separate Contact Sheet script that someone has written, then you should be able to do it, depending on the complexity of the script.
What OS are you using? There might be better tools for this than Photoshop's Contact Sheet. If you're on a Mac, then GraphicConverter should allow you to enter that many columns. Plus it has a lot more features and options available for making contact sheets.

  • Contact Sheet Photos

Can you individually orient photos in a contact sheet

The starting point here, is which way round the images appear in the Filmstrip and generally. If you want to use a button, that's set in Library, as SausalitoDog says.
However the arrows may not appear for you. For grid view, there is an item "Rotation" that would need to be checked in the view options for how the image cells appear. For loupe view, the Toolbar has to be showing - it toggles on and off with the T key shortcut. Next, the user can select what controls appear on the Toolbar - there's a little triangular arrow at the right hand side, accessing a menu. Rotate needs to be checked there, for the arrows to show.
Or you can use the Ctrl + [ or ] (square bracket) key shortcut after highlighting an image in the filmstrip, even while in the Print module.
The specific orientation controls you have in Print, are firstly the shape of the containing image cell (whether it is itself portrait, landscape or square), and secondly whether Auto Rotate is checked or not (this is found in "image settings", along with Zoom to Fill).
Often contact sheet layouts use an exactly square image cell, in which case checking Auto Rotate makes no difference, and the image always appears as seen in the Filmstrip.
Say you wanted to force all the images on a contact sheet to appear portrait for printing, then you would need to achieve a portrait rather than square cell size, and to check Auto Rotate.
LR always makes the image as big as it can within the constraints that you set. So:
If Zoom to Fill is not checked, and Auto Rotate off, you see all of each image, centred and sized to fit for both width and height. With Auto Rotate on, it's the same, except an individual image will turn 90 degrees where the longer edges of the image and the cell, allow it to scale bigger that way.
If Zoom to Fill is checked, and Auto Rotate off, you see every image enlarged so as to show no white space in the cell, cropping off the surplus on-the-fly. With Auto Rotate on, it's the same, except an individual image will turn 90 degrees where the shorter edges of the image and the cell, allow it to scale bigger that way.
