Photoshop CS4 "quit unexpectedly" when opening documents or creating new ones
I recently upgraded my computer to an iMac and reinstalled Adobe CS4. All programs have worked perfectly for months, but now Photoshop will not open. Everytime, whether opening an existing document or creating a new one, it give me the message "Photoshop quit unexpectedly."
I removed ALL 3rd Party Plug-ins (only had a couple) and reinstalled Photoshop - three times... still no luck. I cannot open the program at all.
Adobe Tech Support will no longer support CS4...
HELP! SOMEBODY...
Then, your preferences were not created, maybe.
Can you try using the CS Cleaner tool to clean all traces of Adobe CS4 and install CS4 afresh? - http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
This is different from just doing a re-install. Try it out.
Also, in the error you're getting, is there an error code or a description? IF so, can you post that here?

Adobe photoshop CS5 quits unexpectedly when opened on lion
The name sums it up. I don't think I had this problem until I updated to lion. I've read a lot of suggested fixes, including reseting the preferences, however, it runs into the error immediatly after opening, and I never have the option to got to preferences. I held command + **** + option + shift, but that didn't work. I also read that you could open font book, and scroll through until you found a font that made the application crash, and getting rid of that font would fix it, but none of the fonts made it crash.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me. Here is the text that pops up when I click on "Details" on the error message.

Photoshop CS3 loading times when opening file or creating new
Hi all,
Every time I open any kind of file or when I create a new file it takes Photoshop at least 30 secs to open or create the file. I also have PS installed on another computer (with the same specs) where I don't have this problem.
Does anyone have any idea why it takes PS so long to open/create files? I'm using a laptop with a Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of DDR2 ram.

Photoshop CS6 suddenly will not open images or create new ones
I began using illustrator and exported an image in several formats and Photoshop won't open any of them, jpg, png, tiff Not only that now Photoshop won't open any documents period and will not create a new document either. Any ideas?

Photoshop CS4 quits responding when using 3D
Photoshop CS4 quits responding when selecting new texture in materials section under opacity in 3D. I have not had this happen till just a few weeks ago. It was working just fine. I run an IMac with 2 gig of ram. My graphics card is a ATI,RadeonX1600.
Ok I have tried turning off OpenGL and it seems to be just the Opacity, but it still locks up even if I just raise or lower the opacity level or pick new texture. By the way I called apple tech yesterday and they offered to roll me back to previous update but if anything occurred as a result of it, it would cost me $49.00 per incident. The tech also said that adobe needs to be the one with an update for the problem. Man what a mess. Well that all being said I will just have to use my MacBookPro for my 3D work. I have no problem with Photoshop on it. How do I get Adobe to do an update for the problem.

Photoshop is not an Apple product, I'd suggest you contact Adobe for support.

Indesign CS5.5 quits unexpectedly when opening
My Adobe Indesign CS5.5 quits unexpectedly when I try to open it. (the same happens with illustrator but photoshop is fine) I don't know what could be the problem? I just deleted my font management system or any potential corrupt fonts. I've only had the software for two months and this is a brand new computer, so what gives? Now that we've taken care of that, I see two things. First, you need to update InDesign to 7.0.4. Second, the crash is caused by Extensis Suitcase. You should look for an update to that as well. -
Mac installing flash player, Flash quits unexpectedly when opened after download.
Can anyone help me with this? Flash has been in use on my mac for a long time, but when I updated to 11 version it never worked right, and kept using older version to play games etc.. and I updated to flash 12, the flash program quits unexpectedly when I open it after downloading it. It prompts to send error report to apple, and will not run flash player. I troubleshoot and have uninstalled all following those steps and still cannot run an installed file of flash. I tried to install earlier versions, 10.3 and others all quit unexpectedly version flash 9 is outdated and cannot be downloaded. I now have NO FLASH PLAYER at all and cannot figure out what is happening ! ANY INSITE would be apprecialted thank you
Doing the COCOA install isn't that tough.
Download the FULL Installer: Flash Player 12 Plug-in (Mac OS X)
Save the file and Quit Safari.
Double click the downloaded file
and it will mount on your desktop,
and open a window with the installer.
Right click the installer and choose "Show Package Contents"
In Contents/Resources, double click the Adobe Flash Player.pkg file
The installer will open. Follow the instructions.
It'll ask for your Admin password, and it will install.
It's just that easy. -
Photoshop CS4 quits unexpectedly on startup
I installed all of CS4 Master Collection yesterday, on a brand new iMac. All programs were working fine. Today, Photoshop gives the "application quit unexpectedly" message when I try to open it. However, all of the other programs are still working.
Any suggestions?I have also been having a startup crash with Photoshop CS4. It is the latest Mac OSX, all updated, latest Photoshop CS4, all updated. It is installed on an older Intel iMac. The crash report is below. This is very confusing as it is a new installation after a system update (wiped disk) to 10.6 - as vanilla as it comes. Any ideas anyone?

Flash CS3 quits unexpectedly when opening FLA
When I try to open FLA files, Flash just quits (disappears
instantly), and I can't open or work in any files unless I start
from scratch. I'm on Windows XP Pro, and on a pretty high-end
gaming PC, so it's not a hardware problem. I've been using Flash
for about 10 years and have never encountered such a major problem
with the application before. I upgraded from CS2 to CS3 a few
months ago and was using it with no problem until last week.
I have several projects that have fallen behind, and
I’m having no luck opening my FLA files. My FLA files are not
corrupt, because I’ve tried opening various FLA files that
I’ve created from over the past several years – same
problem.
I spoke to my colleagues, and some of them have had this
problem with other CS3 programs, like Photoshop and Illustrator -
when they called support, Adobe said this may be a permissions
issue. This was what they suggested when I called as well - which
makes me think that CS3 apps have some kind of issue/bug with
permissions. However, the users and permissions on my machine have
not changed since I was working with Flash before (I didn't have
this problem before last week). Adobe support also suggested that I
uninstall Flash and reinstall it (for some reason, this process
took about 1 hr), but that didn’t work either.
In the past, I've seen individual FLA files that have been
corrupted – but nothing like this, where Flash just quits all
together for no reason. I am desperate to work on my Flash projects
– anyone who has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know.

In the 'Flash Player quit unexpectedly' window, click REPORT. This will display some crash log information. Copy the entire contents of the crash report into a text file and name it something like 'crashlog.txt'.

Photoshop CS4 quits unexpectedly
Hi,
Please this issue is really freezing out our daily activities. I have a Mac in my office which has got a configuration as below, We are using PS CS4 on it since 2009 until couple of days back when it first popped up with an error report saying Photoshop quits unexpectedly. I have tried to uninstall PS ,but it failed with another error message as in the picture below. Any help would be highly appreciated as we need it everyday.

Photoshop CS4 images corrupt when opening
I have problems with Photoshop CS4..installed doftware fine, but when i open any image (raw, jpg etc) they are corrupt....i am running windows vista 32bit....could this be my graphics card thats giving the problem its a ATI Radeon HD2600XT?
True corruption MAY be caused by bad hard-drive, cable, or ram. What only looks like corruption, (such as having solid fluorescent looking colored areas) but the corruptions goes away, when zooming is caused by video card or card drivers.
Do you get a corruption warning or do they just appear corrupted?
A few months ago I had real corrupted files on an XP machine running CS. The problem started after I installed a new wireless mouse. I reinstalled the old mouse and the problem went away. I know that does not seem logical but I swear that it happened.
Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable than myself will be able to offer advice.

Mac OSX quits unexpectedly when opening Logis Files!?
I have this issue where my computer quits all of a sudden where I have to turn it off and re-start. After it reboots the message " The computer was restarted after Mac OSX quit unexpectedly" comes on.
Does anybody else have this problem. It doesn't happen very often but still I want to get this fixed. Strangely, it happens when I try to open certain Logic Projects. I can open some of them but some of them crash.As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Photoshop CS4 Extended Crashes When Opening Files
Whenever I open a file or create a new file (file type doesn't seem to make a difference), Photoshop stops responding for a few seconds, then my monitor goes to standby mode. Turning the monitor off then on again doesn't help. The computer continues to run, but the only way to regain control is a hard reboot. Everything worked just fine until yesterday, when it first started doing this.
EDIT: I use a dual-monitor setup, but recently my secondary monitor's backlight burned out, so I unchecked the "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" checkbox in windows display settings. This is when Photoshop started crashing. When I thought about that, I went back and rechecked the box and now everything works fine.

Still, it's a workaround at best. This should not happen. I'd definitely investigate the graphics card driver settings and PS' OpenGL prefs. There must be a way to get both working without the crashes...

Mail quits unexpectedly when opened.
My mac completely froze, earlier this evening and I had to power it of to get it started again.
Now, mail 'quits unexpectedly' as soon as I click on it to open it.
Suggestions?We need to see a crash report to tell what's causing the crash. You should also check and disable any InputManagers you may have installed just before this started to happen.
