Photoshop CS4 stops working upon launch
While launching photoshop cs4 on windows 7 I recieve a message that says :Adobe Photoshop CS4 has stopped working. Can anyone help?

Have you installed any new input device? Maybe a Wacom tablet or something?
And are you running PS CS4 as 32 or 64 bit?

Adobe Photoshop CC stops working upon saving a file.
I don't know how many people this has effected, may be just me but whenever i try and save my work on photoshop cc it gets to about 60% and a notification pops up saying that Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working and windows will try and find a solution to your problem but it never works and closes photoshop. What do i do????

Troubleshooting Photoshop, program stopped working upon opening
I am new to the whole creative cloud membership and I have recently downloaded PhotoshopCC 2014. It opens fine but then a window pops up and says the program has stopped working. Could I possibly be missing an update or a plug in or is there something else I could be missing? I have already tried restarting my computer, verifying my emails for my membership accounts and making sure I had all the plug ins I needed. I use Windows 8.
I fixed it. It turns out I did have to do some stuff to my computer I had
thought was done automatically. Its all good now thanks though -

CS4 stopped working in Vista 64 (both 32 bit and 64 bit)
Photoshop CS4, both 32 bit and 64 bit have been working great until after the Adobe update process loaded 11.0.1. When I try to start either the 32 bit or the 64 bit version of CS 4, I get the opening screen and then an error message that says, ..."Photoshop CS4 stopped working", and it closes the application. CS 3 still works fine. CS4 Bridge works fine. I have made no changes to PS CS4. Any ideas?
In the event of a situation where the application is unavailable for de-activation, you need to install the program again and, when prompted for activation, call the special (not customer support) number on the screen.
I have never had to try this, but that information has been posted several times. -

What version of PS CC do you use?
Try updating to Win 8.1 and that should install all the required windows updates and then check the same.
You still want to install the video card driver from the manufacturer website, as already suggested by Chris, to be double sure that you have the right GPU drivers installed.
In case your PS still crash, check Event Viewer for the Faulty Module and let us know.

SAVE defaults in Photoshop CS4 not working.
I shoot in RAW format and use Lightroom 3 to open all new photos. When I first do a SAVE it saves it with the Byte Order as IBM PC though I work on a MAC and want MAC. If it's a layered file it defaults to the TIFF options as ZIP (I want LZW) and IBM PC byte order and ZIP layer compression (I want RLE). I've checked all the preferences and yet it defaults to these settings. I can't just click "save", I have to do "save as" and check the selections I do want. This is drivng me crazy. I reinstalled CS4 after Photoshop suddenly stopped working, and it's been doing this ever since. Do I need to trash some system preferences or ???

Yes there, are two ways - to use the clipboard: copy and paste the RGB layer into the alpha channel - making sure that full color composite view is visible, and the correct layer is highlighted, when you copy - and ONLY the alpha channel is selected in the channels palette when you paste.
Another way, which you may have heard ages ago, is to load the RGB grayscale - command clicking the RGB composite channel. Then create a new alpha channel from this selection- if the channel is the wrong way round invert it (command I) -
I downloaded and installed the CS5 Design Premium suite. (I already had CS4 installed and working on my computer.) I used Photoshop (64 bit), Bridge, InDesign and Illustrator. I have opend and closed each of these programs several times. I have used PS CS5 extensively.
Suddenly, Photoshop CS5 won't load. Bridge, InDesign and Illustrator still work. But I get an error message "Photoshop has stopped working" right at the end of the initialization.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on an Intel i7 920 processor with 6GB of RAM. I have 750 GB free on my primary HD.
I tried deleting the preferences, the workspace preferences, the workspace I created and everything in the Workspaces(Modified) folder. Same error message.
I am using a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. I was getting some odd behavior with it, so I installed a new driver. As far as I know, that's the only change made to my computer.
I'm going to try rolling back the driver. Any other ideas?

Thanks for your quick response.
I was able to restore the computer to an automatic restore point from this afternoon. (First I had to disable part of Norton.) After that, Photoshop would load. But then my tablet was dead.
I downloaded and installed the 6.1.4-3 version of the driver, not the latest one that I install the first time.
Now both are working. I don't know if there is a conflict with the 6.1.5-3a version of the driver or if something else caused the problem.

You need to remove third party plugin and try launching. You should find it in plugins folder either here C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Plug-Ins or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\en_US\Plug-Ins
Else try skipping the loading of thirdparty plugins like below:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl/cmd + shift as you click Editor/Edit.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message to skip loading of 3rd party plugins..Click yes and check.

For the problem that the issue is not happening on a different Account, Adobe does have a KB trying to save your orriginal account:

Folowing these steps should actually result in either that you are able to work on your original Account, or that you at least did everything possible (according to Adobe) to save your account.
You should not be required to use a Second Email for using Photoshop, This does not make much sense, Your AdobeID and OS Account are (or at least should) not (be) linked to eachother.
Hopefully this will help you to work with the original Account again. -
