Photoshop CS5 and HP Designjet Z6100ps issue

Trying to access the printer properties or trying to print to the  Z6100 from within Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 after already having done 1  print to the same printer previously will result in the error "Print  failed because the requested printer does not exist.".  The issue does  not happen if you switch to another printer temporarily in between the  prints but it's still very annoying. Anybody having the same issue or  figured out a workaround?
Thanks

  • Are there any issues with Adobe Photoshop CS5 and OS X Yosemite 10.10?

Are there any known issues with Adobe Photoshop CS5 and OS X Yosemite 10.10? I heard I would need an older Java version to start it.

You'll need to reinstall Photoshop CS5 after installing the MacOS 10.10 update -- for some reason the OS updater stomps on some of the Photoshop files.

Running Adobe Photoshop CS5 and when I try and print using Epson wf 35-20 version 9.04, Photoshop quits.  Have OS 10.9.3.  Any advice sincerely appreciated....

Hi Chris thanks for emailing. I originally emailed Epson about this issue and they said it is something you should contact Adobe about!
When I hit print, the colour wheel turns and then the application quits.   then get the following:

I open the comments tab and it says in faded grey:  Provide any steps necessary to reproduce the problem.

  • Photoshop CS5 and Epson 9900, Win 7, 64bits

    Hi,
I recently upgraded from photoshop cs3 to cs5 and now all of my prints on epson 9900 large format printer come out too dark. The same pictures printed with cs3 look good but not on cs5. How can I fix it? Is there a patch for this issue on Adobe website? Just to clarify: same image printed on CS3 looks good but printed with CS5 looks too dark. It can't be the printer driver issue since there is one driver for both version of Photoshop (6.62, most recent).
    I have Photoshop CS5 and Epson 9900, Windows 7, 64bits.
I have "Photoshop manages colors" selected and "no color management" for printer - I know the proper set up, I've been doing this for quite some time, so it's definitely not the settings issue or media profile issue. Well, the same settings are use with CS3 and CS5 but results are different, that's why I think it's photoshop's fault. If I can't print color managed prints than CS5 is useless to me.
Any ideas? I have seen post reg. this but no solution and they go back few years back. Has Adobe finally addressed the issue?
    Please, help.

    Hi Chris,
I have the latest patch 12.0.4 but it does not solve the problem. What kind of "user error" are you talking about? As I stated before: I use the same settings in both version of PS: photshop manages color, printer profile: my canvas media profile, BPC: on. In print settings: mode: custom (off, no color adjustment), media type: my canvas type. There is no room for "user error" here.
As for driver bugs: are you referring to Epson driver? I have the latest driver v6.62. What else can I do? Did i skip something?
Well, of course I'm using Windows (64bits), so I guess there is lots of room for error there, right , but I don't think it's OS since it prints fine in CS3 but not in CS5.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  • ATI Radeon 7000 series and Photoshop CS5 and CS6

Interesting to note, Running windows 7 64bit I have bought a new graphics card, it is an ATI Radeon HD7900 bought to run Photoshop CS5 and 6 unfortunately the graphics card is not displayed in the photoshop prefrences, I checked the list of cards supported by Adobe and the Radeon 7000 series was listed.....I rang Adobe who states that the HD7000 is not supported, so until (if ever ) it is I cannot use the full functionality of Photoshop CS5 extended. I'm not sure if all the Radeon HD cards are supported or not, but maybe check before you invest in a new card.

The Radeon 7000 series cards should work fine with both CS5 and CS6, but as Steve noted there is a problem with the current drivers for the card.  Until the 12.7 driver is released next month, I'd suggest using the following driver:
    http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst126beta.aspx
Use the control panel on your system to completely uninstall your current driver before installing the 12.6 beta driver.  Please let us know if the beta driver resolves the issues you're seeing.
    Thanks,
    Adam

  • I work with photoshop CS5 and the stamp is very slow. Why?

I work with photoshop CS5 and the stamp is verry slow. Why?

If you can afford it, go with a Crucial M4 SSD.
If your in a limited budget, go with a Seagate Momentus XT 750GB.
The SSD will be the fastest one and the Seagate being faster than a conventional drive.
If you decide to go conventional, avoid the Western Digital Scorpio Blue.  They tend to have issues with Macbooks.
    Good luck

  • I have Photoshop CS5 and am trying to download the Camera Raw plug in which will enable me to look at RAW images from a Nikon D800 . The download appears in my " Downloads " folder but when I try to open a RAW image I get a message up which says it can't

I have Photoshop CS5 and am trying to download the Camera Raw Plug in that will allow me to open images taken with a D800 camera .
It appears the download has been successful when I look in my " Downloads " Folder but I still get a message up saying the installed version of Camera RAW won't support the Camera model ( i.e. D800 ) . What am I missing ??
    Tony Fletcher

You need to download and install Camera Raw 6.7.1 for CS5. Once you have downloaded it, you need to install it while CS5 is closed.
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.7.1 Update
Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Camera Raw 6.7.1 Update
Once downloaded, unzip/unpack the file, and run the executable to start the update, following the instructions.

  • I have Photoshop CS5, and use windows XP.  I cannot open Bridge from photoshop, whichI have done for years. When I am in Photoshop, when it opens, I always click on the bridge icon at the bottom of the screen, and it puts me into bridge. This is not happen

I have Photoshop CS5, and use windows XP. I cannot open bridge from photoshop, which I have done for years.  When I am in Photoshop, when it opens, I always click on the bridge icon at the bottom of the screen and it puts me into bridge. This is not happening, the small wheel at the bottom of the screen just keeps spinning. Its like its stuck or caught in a loop. I can't get into bridge. I tried shutting down and starting up again but  the problem remains. Looking for help.  Dan

Thanks for your response, I was able to open bridge from File-Browse in Bridge.  This worked, but was not able to go back to the way I always opened Bridge.  At least I could get to Bridge and go into Camera Raw. I never tried to open Bridge from the Start menu.  The odd thing about this is, it has happened before, and to get it "unstuck" and working again, I would shut down and restart again in a few minutes, and things would go back to normal.  This time it did not go back to normal after several attempts.  I shut down for about 3-4 hours, restarted, and it seems to be back to normal again. I am not sure if it's a problem that is getting worse each time it happens.       And yes I am using Mini Bridge in photoshop CS5.  Thank you for your help.  Dan

  • I'm using Photoshop CS5 and there is no PNG listed under format in save as.

I'm using Photoshop CS5 and there is no PNG listed under format in save as.

PNG files can only be RGB - they are intended for screen viewing. If your intention is to produce a CMYK file for printing, you must use a different format, like tiff.

  • My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images

    Any ideas?

My student has been using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5 on her Mac for well over a year. Because of the difference between the Camera raw version available to her in Photoshop CS5 and the raw process in Lightroom 4, she has been exporting her raw images from Lightroom and choosing the "Render using Lightroom option when it popped up in the dialogue box. She has been doing this for over a year and a half without any problem. Today when she hit Command E no dialogue box appeared and the image just opened in Photoshop. I'm concerned that all of her Lightroom edits are not being rendered to Photoshop. Anyone have an idea as to how we can get the "Render using Lightroom" dialogue back?

I have Photoshop CS5 and my image processor and batch tool are gone. How do I get them back?
I went into edit preference and all the start up scrips are selected so what else is there?

When you installed CS5, you have a chance to register it. If you do, your serial number is on file under your Adobe (My Products). If you did not, you have no serial number on file and even worse, no proof you own it.
You do not have your serial number copied down anywhere? Hard to believe you tossed the dvd box and all the documents away.
So Help > Register might give you a chance to do this without you knowing the number.
If not, you may want to consider the Photography Plan. Creative Cloud Photography plan | Adobe Creative Cloud

This is the last paragraph from my very first response to you, post #1 in this thread:
…Additionally, you need to install the DNG Converter, not just "download" it, and you need to launch it and run it on each folder of NEFs you wish to convert to raw DNGs.  [emphasis added]

    Bruce,
When I made the transition to digital some 8 years ago, I had tremendous help from a number of well documented websites, among which:
    http://www.luminous-landscape.com
I think a lot of stuff there to get you seriously going. Another one is:
    http://www.computer-darkroom.com
I sold all my film based stuff, except a Nikon F3 and a handful of lenses and a Paterson developing tank.
The Nikon suspiciously smells like foam mirror damping strips chemically decaying.
I sold my enlarger over the internet. The word "enlarger" caused me to be on SpamCops blacklist for a while.
I'm in this since the seventies, and I think you'll be as amazed as I was at the possibilities and control you have. And no more bags with $300 worth of film that's consumed in one shoot.
Jump in both feet! you won't be sorry. And these forums are the best help you can get.
    Good luck,
    Rob
