  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
I finally figured the solution for this.
What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.

  • Photoshop CS4 - Application Error

I just installed the CS4 Creative Suite 4. Everytime i try to launch photoshop cs4 i recieve an "Photoshop.exe Application Error." This error refferences 0x6963561b and that memory cannot be read at 0x0000008c. Can anyone please help me with this?? I have not even been able to use photoshop yet. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the suite and I get the same results... Please help.
Thanks for your time and help with this matter.

You don't have the correct secrutiy privileges:
You have to install PS as Admin on Vista/Windows 7. When you first install the software don't run it. Go to your DVD drive and explore. Look for the PS folder and find the .exe install file. Right click on this and choose run as Admin. (there is a difference between being a admin on a computer and installing software in the Admin mode)
So when you first start PS in Vista/Windows 7 you have to run the software in Admin mode to get all the privileges.
Right click on the PS icon, choose properties, compatibility tab and then check Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply then OK to close. Then restart PS.
Don't forget to update PS CS4 to 11.01.

Open image in CS4, after a couple of minutes a dialog box opens, Photoshop.exe - Application Error, how to fix please?

    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
    what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
    etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).
a screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too.

  • When i write in photoshop cs5 the error

when i write in photoshop cs5 the error is (img)
Why this error please help me

This error is generally caused by a incompatible/incomplete/corrupt font. When you select the type tool, Photoshop reads all of your available fonts to generate a WYSIWYG list. To test if a bad font is the cause of this error, go to Preferences > Type and disable the Font Preview. If the Type tool now works without error, then we know a font is the root issue.
If on Windows, uninstall (drag font files out of the Fonts folder) and reinstall (drag font files into the Fonts folder) your most recent fonts. The files will be verified on reinstall and most likely one or more will give an error. If on Mac, validate your fonts with Fontbook.

  • Photoshop CS5 unrecoverable error on opening

Photoshop CS5 pops up a an unrecoverable error, program must close error box when it opens.  If I uninstall and run in demo mode this doesn't happen, photoshop runs fine.  I put in my serial number (yes, it is a valid SN right off of my disc box) and open the program, error occurs.  This makes no sense, as the only difference is that the install is now licenced and not a demo. I'm running Windows 6 Pro 64bit on on intel core i7 processor.  Below is the event error log:  I've been running PS CS5 on this machine for months, this just started 2 days ago.

Well, that's what we're trying to figure out now, isn't it?
Why did you have to reinstall it?  Perhaps you have haven't overcome the original problem.
Since you're having a crash that came on when you added your serial number, that's what drove my attention in that direction.
I'm not versed in exactly what Photoshop requires for its licensing.  I just looked more closely and see that while the FLEXnet services I mentioned are on my system, they're not at the moment started.  Do you see them at all in the Task Manger Services tab?

  • Photoshop CS5 - Runtime Error!

So I've had Photoshop for years, but just recently I've been given an error upon startup.
This error is stopping me from using Photoshop as it closes straight after the error box is given out.
I must also tell you that I have recently been attacked by a virus which has been recovered from, and since then Photoshop has not been working and producing this error.
    Here it is:
Microsoft Visual C+ + Runtime Library
Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program File\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Photoshop.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
    Any solutions? I can't live without photoshop : ' (

Sounds like it's probably time to reinstall Photoshop, given that the virus may have damaged it.
You could try resetting preferences, but I don't hold a lot of hope for that given that you've had a virus.  To do this, press and hold Control-Shift-Alt immediately after starting Photoshop from its menu entry or shortcut.  You have to be quick and if you're quick enough it will prompt you to confirm.

  • Photoshop CS5 x64 error (graphics?)

I haven't spent the time to search for other topics related to this yet because I am on a tight deadline and wanted to start using Photoshop right away for my project.
It's Photoshop CS5 64-bit on Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate.  I am wondering if anyone else has come across the same error?  (If there's already a thread about it please feel free to point me to it).  Thanks in advance.  (I have an nVidia graphics card, don't know how much memory is on that card though.  It's a Quadro type.)
    -markerline

    Hi Mylenium..
I did in fact recently update my driver but I guess when you say configure you mean using the nVidia control panel and I can't seem to make heads or tails of that dialog.  It lists all of my programs and a bunch of optional attributes that you can set but I just have it set to the control panel's default settings which I think should be good enough for a 2D-sometimes-3D application such as PS Extended.  Do you know of a specific setting that would cause this error in the control panel?  Or is there a link I should look for with nVidia's website?
    Thanks.

  • Photoshop CS5 install error/App Manager- log attached

    Hello,
I've been trying to use the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition to create a Photoshop CS5 installer with the serial key and updates already packaged. I've done other packages in the Creative Suite fine (Dreamweaver and Flash Professional), but the Photoshop installer is quitting out and the errorlog isn't spitting out anything I find useful as far as debugging. However, someone might be able to give me some insight.
The log can be found here
There are two there, I believe. Both exit with the same error.
    - 1 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warning(s)
WARNING: The payload: Adobe Photoshop  CS5 Core  {7DFEBBA4-81E1-425B-BBAA-06E9E5BBD97E} requires a UI parent  with following specification:
            Family: Photoshop
            ProductName: Adobe Photoshop CS5 Core_x64
This parent relationship is not satisfied, because this payload is not present in this session.
FATAL ERROR: Cannot mix install/repair actions with remove actions in a deployment file.
Please search the above error/warning string(s) to find when the error occurred.
It mentions x64, but I kept checked the box that makes the installer 32-bit rather than the 64 bit version.
And yes the machine is 32bit, running XP, but the installer will also need to be compatible with Windows 7 as well.
Any insight would be appreciated. If we can get these pre-serialed and updated installers worker it would save us a valuable amount of time with machine deployments.

I searched for the GUID from what appears to be the key message: "OS Requirements not met for {667C8B6C-3EAF-4646-A8EC-D85CCC4D3D84}"
I found a lot of people reporting that one.  Several claimed to have gotten through it after working through this page:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/829/cpsid_82942.html
At least one person said that creating another user account on the computer cleared up the problem, and others have said that either running the installer as administrator or temporarily turning UAC all the way down have helped.
    Good luck.

  • Photoshop Service Application Error

I just installed Premere Elements 9.  When I open Organizer in the Premere Elements welcome screen I get the message
Font Capture: Photoshop Service.exe Application Error
The instruction at "0x103e8453" referenced memory at "0x0000a74".  The memory could not be "read".  Click on OK to terminate the program.
Since I had no other choice I clicked on OK.
In the past I have hade a problem with Elements Organizer - Each time I opened Organizer the region/county box appeared.  Now, Organizer no longer requests the region / country when I opened it.
Can any one tell me what all this means and should I be concerned about the Photoshop Service.exe application error?

I'd recommend you contact Adobe Tech Support with this one. It's not a typical issue by any means!

  • CS6 upgrade for photoshop CS5 gives errors

I recently purchased your Photoshop CS6 upgrade.  I had been using Photoshop CS5 previously.  When I entered my serial number I got a message stating that no qualifying product can be found on my computer.  In the product drop down box I found and selected CS5 but when I enter the serial number of my CS5 Master Collection (which Photoshop was part of it) I get a error saying that serial number is not for a qualifying product.
    What should I do?

You cannot upgrade a component of a Creative Suite to the next version - which is what it sounds like you're attempting.
e.g. you cannot upgrade to Photoshop CS6 using the Photoshop CS5 from Master Collection CS5.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/faq.html#upgrade-eligibility
"Am I eligible for upgrade pricing from an earlier Creative Suite edition to an individual CS component?
No. Adobe does not offer upgrade pricing for customers wishing to move from a suite edition to an individual CS component. For complete upgrade information for the product you are interested in, consult the upgrade eligibility chart on that product's buying guide page."
From Master Collection CS5, you can only upgrade to a CS6 Suite (does not have to be Master Collection CS6).
If Photoshop CS6 is all you want then either purchase a full version of CS6 or consider joining the Cloud.

  • Photoshop CS5.1 error - you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.

I have PS 5.1 on my Mac. After I installed Yosemite, it will not work. I get an error saying "To open “Adobe Photoshop CS5.1.app” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime." According to Java, I have the latest Java. I contacted Apple and they said to uninstall PS 5.1. I reinstalled with no change. Any ideas? FYI - PS 5.1 work on my Macbook with no errors.
This is frustrating as I cannot use the software. Any help is appreciated.

  • Photoshop cs5 CONFIGURATION ERROR: 6

When i first had cs5 photoshop it was working fine after i got a few bugs fixed, but then my harddisk sopped working so i replaced it with a new one on the same computer and windows xp sp2.
When downloading photoshop cs5 i got this error, i once had it with flash cs4 and i couldn't download that either, until i had download photoshop cs5 on the old harddisk it ceased to work.
Could anyone help me, i mean i right now am fusing because paying so much money for a program that dosent work seems more like a ripoff

Not sure why you chose XP SP2; Photoshop requires XP SP3.
Was it the C: drive that failed?  Did you do a full system reinstallation or restoral from backup?
Just a couple of guesses as to the root of your problem, since you have provided far too little information to diagnose it fully...  Did you try clearing your browser cache and downloading the Photoshop installer again?  What antivirus/antimalware software are you running, and are you sure you haven't picked up any infection since reinstalling your operating system?
Honestly, calling Photoshop a ripoff when your own system faults clearly led to the problems you're having seems a bit extreme.
