Photoshop CS5 - black/cyan bars are appearing in images?
This has happened to two files I was editing, and every time I make a new file it does this as well. I'd have the canvas, and there would be bars appearing on it - black if the background is white, and cyan if it's a tan color. I'm sure there's other combinations but I haven't checked. The lines show up on the canvas but not necessarily the layers palette all the time, and if I try to brush over them they may disappear, until I scroll around on the canvas, that is. In general, it acts rather randomly.

Notice the lines look horizontal in the layers palette/window, but are vertical in the actual image.
This only started happening today.
What's going on?
I didn't know where to put this so sorry if it's in the wrong section.
BTW The Cyan push is now gone in the RX 595 but the desaturation remains...

Try resetting your phone by holding down the home and off button until the apple symbol comes up. Then if still doing, restore your phone in itunes from your backup.

Photoshop CS5 64-bit crashes when opening an image; 32-bit works fine
This is a bit of a tricky problem, but if I start up Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit, it runs alright. But the second I choose an image and open it, I get "Photoshop has stopped working..." and Windows tries to find a solution.
However, the 32-bit version of PS CS5 works perfectly.
On my Mac Mini, however, which ONLY HAS Photoshop 64-bit (Creative Suite 5, Snow Leopard, latest updates), images open and edit fine.
On my PC, I also had this same exact problem with the 64-bit version of Photoshop CS4.
I read in a few forums that it might be a corrupt font, etc., but I have no idea why a corrupt font would be affecting how Photoshop 64-bit opens an image, especially if I don't even get a chance to edit the image or anything. The images I've been trying to update are JPEGs.
I have all of the updates installed on my PC regarding CS5. It's completely updated. I am really stuck. I'd like to be able to take advantage of the 64-bit technology and put that version of Photoshop to use, but I can't.

I did my best to recreate it to look the way it looks in the console, so nothing should be confusing.
Also, @Chris Cox- I do have the most recent beta driver installed for my onboard graphics card, which is an Nvidia GeForce 6150SE, maybe that could be causing it. I will uninstall it and install the most recent recommended release from Nvidia's site. -
Photoshop CS5 crashing my Mac when resizing large images
I don't have much to explain this further but Photoshop CS5 is crashing my Mac when I resize large images. Small images are fine but large 300dpi images crashes it without warning. Don't know what to do. The only other similar thing is After Effects CS5 is crashing my Mac when I trim a clip. It completely turns off my Mac when I trim a clip.
I have 8gigs of Ram and am running 27" iMac Core i5
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you for your insights. We are having the same problems here.
It's been a headache as we bought two 27" iMacs in March 2011; and we've had even BOTH iMacs exchanged.
After exchanging, same thing happened. We then got all 16GB of RAM on each iMac replaced.
But we noticed that the auto-shutdown problem happens with files on 300dpi. We are contemplating on changing them to 299dpi though haha!
Unfortunately, here in Singapore, we don't have a physical Apple store. We only have Premium Resellers.
And the other unfortunate thing is, when RAMs are upgraded these Premium Resellers sell 3rd party RAMs.
I supposed we'll have to deal with this for now until we have enough funds to replace ALL 32 RAMs to original Apple RAMs (which will cost abt another USD1600!!) ..
Hope this forum helps others as much as it finally helped me understand the issue we're having. -

Problem Printing onto CDs from Photoshop CS5 - Canon MG6150 printer
I cannot find a solution to this problem anywhere!! I have a Canon Pixma MG6150 printer and have designed a CD/DVD label using Photoshop CS5. The proportions are all correct, when printed on paper from within Photoshop I can cut out the label and it fits my printable media perfectly.
The problem is printing directly onto the CD or DVD using the printer's CD print tray. I cannot get the alignement correct -- the label will only print halfway off the media or more, so only a small section of my label appears on the CD. I have tried various settings from within Photoshop's print options and none work.
How can I get my label design to print onto the DVD or CD? Any help is HUGELY appreciated.
I am running Mac OSX 10.6.5.I was testing other Imacs running the same photoshop CS5.1 with the new printer drivers from canon and it prints. They are running OSX10.6.8. My new computer is running 10.9.2 and it will not print from photoshop. Is the driver not compatible with the operating system? Is there something to try other than saying the driver is at fault. Do I complain to Canon to update their driver to work? What is a work around?

Photoshop CS5 doesn't respond to Lightroom
Hi. I have this posted in the Lightroom forum, but am getting no responses. Thought maybe there would be a response here in the Photoshop area.
I have just recently upgraded both Photoshop CS4 to CS5 and Lightroom 2.7 to 3.0. They're great upgrades and am enjoying the new features. However, there is one hangup that I am running into. When in Lightroom, I do a right click over an image to Edit the Image in Photoshop CS5. Most of the time the image will then open in Photoshop and I can then proceed to do my edits. But, after a short while (after a couple hours), this procedure stops working. When I click in Lightroom to Edit in Photoshop CS5, Photoshop will begin to load up, but then the image to edit never appears. I then quit Photoshop and reload it, but then it still doesn't respond to Lightroom. After quitting both programs and retrying the whole process, Photoshop still won't respond.
The only way to fix this I've found is to restart or log off the comp (I'm on a mac with OSX 10.6). Some on here have said to delete the preference files. I've done this, but still no luck. I've deleted Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled it, and still the problems persists. I've updated my CS5 to version 12.0.1, and still the same problem. Has anyone else out there experienced this problem and found a fix?

Trials are only available for the latest versions. CS6 being the latest, only the CS6 trial is available. Why don't you give CS6 a try. The features that you were expecting to find in CS5 will be there, in addition to the new features introducted in CS6.

Black horizontal bars in iMovie HD
I'm using iMovie HD (iLife 06), and using it in a college-level multimedia
class. I've used it before (in iLife 05) and did not have this problem.
When I bring still pictures in, even sized at 720 x 480, they come in with
black bars running horizontally, at the top and bottom. This can be worked
around by setting the zoom at about 1.17, and the black bars are cropped
out. But I don't understand why the black bars are appearing in the first
place.
And oddly enough, the bars also show up when video is imported directly from a DV camcorder. When I export to QuickTime format, the bars are still there. I've monkeyed with settings, and we are bringing in the video as DV. iMovie help explains this as happening because the video is a different size than the iMovie window -- except that it isn't, really.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
We are using Canon ZR90 camcorders. I will be trying it with an older Canon
ZR sometime this weekend. But it shouldn't be a camera-specific problem, as
it is happening with stills and the stills have originated from a wide
variety of still cameras.

How does it look when you've captured it?
Maybe switch out FW cables?????? Oh - is it going IN via FW or into a card?
Any chance you can hook up a cheap fw camera or any other deck to trouble shoot some of these issues?
Might also want to delete your preferences... google for FCPRescue5 or FCPRescue6 depending on which v you are using.

Open a pdf in Photoshop CS5 shows jpg - but no grafic
I have a handbook opened in Photoshop CS5 and I can see the jpg images of the handbook.
But not the grafic scematic images.
I am not aware if these are in svg or whatever.
How can I get access to those grafics?
Yes, I may open a page and copy a grafic,
but I would like to get the original content.

Photoshop CS5 doesn't launch - CoolType error msg
Know this has been an issue others have experienced in some way. We have brand new iMacs running 10.6.8. All machines created using same image. Some of them can't run Photoshop CS 5 (or Flash) even as local admin account, yet others work just fine. When looking at the log (shown below), there seems to be a problem launching UpdaterNotifications.framework during startup, which seems to prevent the load of the AUMService. Any ideas?

Photoshop has no screen resolution preferences, as such.
Photoshop's font size preference is stored in Photoshop's preferences file, in the Photoshop preferences folder
~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Prefs.psp
Plists are too restrictive and slow for Photoshop's preferences to be stored there.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 3D Menu missing, need solution ASAP
I recently made a 3D Wallpaper and when im gonna make one again the 3D menu is gone. I don't know if it is because of update or something, but when i searched for an answer or a solution in Google, i've found multiple comments regarding the license or the video card but i don't think both of that are the problem because like i said i just recently made a wallpaper using 3D. Need your help ASAP Adobe Support Team, thanks!Your situation can happen if you had downloaded the PS CS5 trial (which is Extended) then activated it, finally, but had only purchased Standard, so the Extended features were deactivated.
A video card or memory issue would cause the 3D menu to gray out, but not disappear entirely. Not having extended, now, when you used to is more a licensing issue. Have you purchased PS CS5 Extended from Adobe? Licensing issues are best sorted out via a call to Adobe support, which can be a lesson in patience. -
Photoshop CS5 does not respond to Lightroom
Hi. I have just recently upgraded both Photoshop CS4 to CS5 and Lightroom 2.7 to 3.0. They're great upgrades and am enjoying the new features. However, there is one hangup that I am running into. When in Lightroom, I do a right click over an image to Edit the Image in Photoshop CS5. Most of the time the image will then open in Photoshop and I can then proceed to do my edits. But, after a short while (after a couple hours), this procedure stops working. When I click in Lightroom to Edit in Photoshop CS5, Photoshop will begin to load up, but then the image to edit never appears. I then quit Photoshop and reload it, but then it still doesn't respond to Lightroom. After quitting both programs and retrying the whole process, Photoshop still won't respond.
The only way to fix this I've found is to restart or log off the comp (I'm on a mac with OSX 10.6). Some on here have said to delete the preference files. I've done this, but still no luck. I've deleted Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled it, and still the problems persists. I've updated my CS5 to version 12.0.1, and still the same problem. Has anyone else out there experienced this problem?
ThanksWorst case: trashing prefs by keeping ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop (and then using the dialog) should allow you to open it.

Edit in Photoshop CS5 Prompt Inconsistent
I've recently noticed that the prompt window which ask what to edit (Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments, etc.) when going to Photoshop CS5 is only popping up with some images. It use to be it would open every time I went into Photoshop CS5 from Lightroom 4. When I get the prompt I have choices. When I don't get the prompt it opens the image with all the Lightroom adjustments, but sometimes that not what I want other than going outside of of Lightroom and into Photoshop directly.
I'm running Lightroom 4.2 and Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 on OSX Lion. Also, I recently had to run a fix on a corrupt catalog. For those who are aware of the corrupt catalog issue I had it repaired via Dan Tull.
Any solution would be appreciated.
Thanks, DevinSince you are using Lightroom 4 with Photoshop CS5, ACR isn't fully compatible with Lightroom. When editing raw images, Lightroom will warn you unless you choose not to show that warning again. If you make that choice, then whatever choice you made at that time will be the one that is used. If you open a JPEG or a TIF image, Lightroom will always ask if you want to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments, etc.. So if you have made the choice not to display the "raw warning" again, then you won't have that warning when opening raw images. But you will always be given those other choices when opening non-raw images.
