Photoshop CS5 Help! T.T?

hi guys! I'm a total newbie on this so maybe this problem is really simple.. but I hope you can help me!
When I open a picture in PS CS5, it automatically turns into a yellow-like gradient. IDK. It's always like this... I tried looking for the problem in the layer style setting, but all of it are in set in "default" :|
Please someone help me!

Photoshop CS5 help

I can no longer open up my Photoshop CS5 (not a trial)....Everytime I click to run it it gets to the startup screen and then just freezes. I have tried shutting my computer down, restarting but nothing is helping. Lightroom and Bridge open just fine? HELP

That is your problem. Disable it and see if it works well. If so get updates to it and see it that fixes it.

Photoshop CS5 "Help" function not working - Adobe Air error message?

Installed Photoshop CS5, and thought everything was working okay, but when I click on Photoshop Help, I get the error message "Adobe Air - This installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing......" I have re-installed first Adobe Air, same problem and then uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop CS5, but the problem remains. When I first tried to use the Help function it tried to update something and for some reason this failed. I'm wondering if others have seen the same problem and know of a solution? Thanks, David.

Hello: there may be a configuration issue going on here. I have escalated this issue to our Help app engineering team. In the meanwhile, please try the following:
Uninstall the Adobe Help application: go to your Application folder > Adobe > Adobe Help (drag it to the Trash)
Delete the following directory:
USER NAME (home) > Library > Preferences > chc.4875E02D9FB21EE389F73B8D1702B320485DF8CE.
Empty the Trash
Manually update the application via this link: http://www.adobe.com/support/chc/
Select "Photoshop" in Step 1 and then click the Install badge in Step 2. Make sure to select "Open" (and not Save) in the installation dialog box to fully update the app.
Note: The previous instructions did not include deleting the old application or its preference file. This will help ensure that it is thoroughly updated.

Adobe Photoshop cs5 help..?

I started using Photshop cs5 ...I am little bit familear with interface as I have seen my Friends using it. As of now I don't anything related to usage of Photshop cs5. But my query is that I wanted these two things through which I can excell in my work -

Importing RAW from Canon 6D using LR3/Photoshop CS5 - help!

I'm using light room 3 and Photoshop/bridge CS5.
I just got a new camera – a Canon 6D and none of the programs will read the files. It is indicated I need a new plug-in to support the camera – camera raw plug-in/supported cameras indicates a 60 is supported.
I found a support patch and downloaded: DNGConverter_7_3.exe.part and the application file:DNGConverter_7_3 (the application file size is indicated as 0 kB)
Neither Program Will Run under Windows 7 and I still can't open any of the raw files from my Canon 6D camera.
Any Suggestions?

The EOS 6D was first supported in Camera Raw 7.3 and Lightroom 4.3

Animation in Photoshop CS5 help

I recently got Photoshop CS5 and have made an animation.
Its 20.4MB with 92 frames and when I go to Save for Web & Devices and save the animation, an error comes up that says 'Could not complete this operation. There was not enough memory available'
I try to Save As... the animation as a CompuServe GIF but the image comes out flat
Is there any way I can make the file smaller so it can be saved as a GIF animation or how can I make this work?

Of course GIF can save animations with multiple Frames which are represented by multiple layers in the document. I don't think PNG can do animation at all, however.
Have you tried altering the amount of RAM you have allocated to Photoshop in the Edit - Preferences - Performance menu?

Apple kidnapped my Photoshop CS5 Help Menu

Hi,
I've taken a break from using my CS5 Photoshop program and was needing help editing text, so I clicked on "Help" like I did when I was taking a class in Photoshop last year. All the Help Menu brings up now are things related to my Apple computer. I know a call to Apple Care will result in something like, "We don't troubleshoot Adobe products," so I'm wondering if anybody knows where my Photoshop Help Menu topics disappeared to.
Did I only have them for a year? Did the Help Menu expire? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Photoshop CS5 help file not showing on German Win7

Hi,
I try to display the help file from within PS CS5 and that is not working. I can neither watch the community help online nor download it for offline use since the app seems unable to connect to a working online source.
It shows "The requested URL /de_DE/Photoshop/cs/using/AH_HOME.html was not found on this server."
All apss have been updated to the newest release, everything else is working fine.
I sue Win 7 64bit german, ps is also installed in german.
Any ideas?
PS: sorry just realized I put this into the mac thread by error. Can someone please move it to the correct forum areas pls?

Photoshop CS5 Help doesn't work

I just installed Master Collection CS5 today.
I discovered that the keyboard shortcuts for changing Brush Hardness (Ctrl-Option-Cmd) now activates something else.
First thing I did was goto Photoshop Help, just to find out that the fancy new Air Help app doesn't work. It says something like "this installation is damaged, reinstall or call adobe."
Well I put the disc back in and there's no option in install the Help app.
So... I have no Help now. Any ideas?

Make Layer 3 active and select all (Ctrl-A) and copy it (Ctrl-C).
Alt-click on the empty mask thumbnail, that will give you a white work area.
Click on it and paste (Ctrl-V).

PhotoShop CS5 Help .... Resizing elements and Alpha ?

I just got the Trial of the CS5 and am really ready to learn this program. I have a long way to go,but have started my quest toward the graduation of this program. I just learned how to add the Alpha to a page that was a TEST,but how do I RESIZE THE LETTERS? I tried using the Crop Tool,but that Resized the WHOLE PAGE .....WOW WAS I SHOCKED...
Again I am a beginner and need ALL THE HELP i CAN GET !!!

have are individual letters that I want to use for example J u l y are the letters that we are wanting to work with , well I figured out how to get the letters where we wanted them,but can't figure out the resizing the text !!

Missing the Index: Photoshop CS5 Help Documentation (photoshop_cs5_help.pdf)

I have downloaded and use the Photoshop help PDF (photoshop_cs5_help.pdf) fairly extensively, but it's missing one key element: the index. The index, of course, is invaluable when trying to search for a solution to a problem. The previous PDF for cs4 had an index. I'm wondering if the index is under development - or, heaven forbid, if it's being eliminated.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when the Product Marketing Manager gave up the Index, if he fought for us end users at all? I cannot imagine with such a complex product why they would scrap it! Cost savings is my guess. My vote would have been to leave out a new feature or two and leave the index in.

Photoshop CS5 HELP- batch processing/ actions

For work i have to put a watermark on 300+ images. Ive created the action to add a watermark. But everytime i try to run the batch it tells me "move is not currently available" "Transform is not currently available" So nothing then happens to the file. Please help. thank you.

With a Path selected in the Paths Panel it can be included into an Action via »Insert Path« from the Actions Panel’s fly-out menu.
You can then use the Path as a Vector Mask for a Solid Color Layer for example.
Transformation should be applicable to that – could you post a screenshot of the Action’s steps?

Can't access HELP in Photoshop CS5

When I click on Help in Photoshop CS5 (installed yesterday), I recieve a popup message from Adobe Community Help saying "The requested page requires an Internet connection," and I cannot do anything with the Help screen.
I have an Internet connection. In fact, if I open my Photoshop CS4 program, I can access the Community Help, it opens IE to the online help page for Photoshop CS4, where in the lower right-hand corner there is a yellow box with a link to CS5 help which if I click on it produces the Photoshop CS5 Help page.
So why can't I access HELP from CS5 Photoshop directly,and how do I tell CS5 that I have an Internet connection.
As a side note, this is also a problem with Illustrator CS5.

The problem is solved.
I went and found the executable for Community Help. It is Adobe Help.exe. I then ran it and received the following message: To access or download help, connect to the Internet or deselect “Display Local Help Contents only” in Preferences.
Well, I could not find any such thing in Photoshop preferences. It then dawned on me that I should be looking in the preferences of Community Help. And there it was—the option to display local content only. However, it was set to no, so I should be seeing help from the Internet.
That is when the previous remark about the firewall came back to me, and I realized that what was needed was to open the firewall for Adobe Help.exe and not for Photoshop.

Photoshop CS5.1 crashes when trying to open Manage Custom Sizes in print window. Help??

I have OS 10.10.2. When printing and trying to access the "Manage Custom Sizes" in the print window, my Photoshop CS5.1 crashes. I have not had problems up until now. Not sure what changed. Can anyone help me figure this out?

A preferences reset should fix it.
Macintosh - CMD-SHIFT-OPTION immediately after you double-click the PS icon.
Release those keys when you see the Delete Photoshop Settings dialog. Click "Yes" to do this.
You may have to go into the CS5 application folder and directly double-click the Photoshop.app there.

Photoshop CS5 is suddenly crashing anytime I try to open a file - need help!

My Macbook was running quite slow this morning (hadn't restarted in a number of days) so I quit all applications and restarted. When I opened Photoshop, then selected the file I was last working on to open, PS crashed immediately (didn't get to open the file). I submitted a report, then restarted PS and tried again with anther file (thinking maybe I had a corrupt file)... same result. I can't get it to open ANYTHING without crashing...

Try updating CS5 to latest version (12.0.4). You are still on 12.0.0!
