Photoshop CS5 keeps asking me for serial

I have a subscription version of CS5.  I had a problem when got my credit cards replaced, the payment did not process and photoshop stopped working.  I logged onto Adobe and changed the details and it processed my payment.  Now every time I launch photoshop Application Manager launches and asks for the serial number, which it accepts but then photoshop never opens.  If I uninstall and reinstall it works but the next time I try and launch it does the same thing.  I have plugins which get disabled when I reinstall, I can't do that every time I start photoshop anyways! I am told by the online helper people in India to call during business hours, but that's no good when I am at work and am not in front of my Mac.

    Check with the school to make sure the licensing should still be valid.  Some school make arrangements only for temporary licensing.

  • Photoshop and Premiere ask me for serial number

    I have the one year Creative Cloud service (so no serial number), but both for Photoshop and Premier I have these messages saying that I'm using a test version (I downloaded both from the Cloud) and that if I don't provide a serial number I won't be able to keep on using them.
    I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.5 and my Creative Cloud service started 5 weeks ago.

        Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
    Follow the below instructions and check if they would work:
    1. Once you launch the software, it says to "License this software". Select this option and enter your credentials. Check if this works.
    2. If not, disable Firewall & anti-virus and try the first step.
    3. If the issue persists, you need to check the Host files. Firstly copy paste this URL: https://lm.licenses.adobe.com on a new browser and see if you get a "Congratulations......" message. If not, follow the below steps to edit the Host files:
    Windows
    Locate the hosts file.
    Click Start, click Run, type "%systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc" and then click OK.
    Right-click the file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
    Save a backup of the file. Choose File > Save As. Name the file hosts.backup and click OK.
    Look for any entries that refer to activate.adobe.com and delete these entries. For example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete this entry.
    Save the file and close it.
    To create a default hosts file, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034  for instructions.
    Mac OS
    Open a Finder window. Choose Go > Go To Folder.
    Type "/etc" (make sure that you are is logged in as an administrator).
    Select the hosts file and open it.
    Look for any entries that refer to activate.adobe.com and delete them. For example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com and delete this entry.
    Save the file and close it.

  • I am unable to open premiere elements 12...keeps asking me for Serial Number Validation which I have already done

    How do I open Adobe Premiere Elements 12?  I opened it for a few days and now I can't.  Serial Number was validated when I installed and it is asking for it again.  When I hit validate, it says connect to internet.

    I have just checked your account and found that you indeed have bought a Creative Cloud for Teams subscription but you have assigned the single seat to another user hence you ( If you are using your own Adobe ID ) are getting the trial error message.
    Two options : Either reassign the seat to your self or add an additional seat and invite your self in the same Team.

    Photoshop CC keep asking for Serial Number. Adobe has charged my credit card 5x since June, but my Photoshop CC still doesn't work.

    This is also happening to me.
    I've been a subscriber for the last year and a bit.
    I've moved to a new computer at home and since then I've been getting this prompt even though I'm signed in, everytime I've opened photoshop. Now the trial has expired and I'm cut off from using it.
    This is total BS.
    I've spent the last 2.5 hours going thru every adobe support doc they've posted. Nothing works. Two hour wait on the phone, 2.5 hour wait to chat (if I'm lucky and the window manages to stay open).
    Oh hey, I can see my breach notification from here too!
    You are on thin ice with me Adobe.

  • Mac OSX Photoshop CS6 keep asking for serial number

    Hi, I don't know why, but since few days ago, my photoshop CS6 started to pop up with the trial message and ask me to enter serial number. However, I'm on a one year subscription for photoshop CS6 only, there is no serial number.
    I opened the software, and choosed "lincese this software" and then signed in with my adobe ID.  After that, the message ask me for serial number.  This didn't happen before.

    Now it says I only have one day for the trial. Please help me to resolve this.

    @CKPAD.co - The Adobe ID you are using to post here has never signed up for the Creative Cloud, not even a free/trial account. Are you using a different Adobe ID for a Creative Cloud subscription? If not this would be the correct behavior. The 30 day trial ends and you can either puchase a perpetual license (serial number) or a Creative Cloud subscription.

    OR do you mean you are looking for installer in English language? (If that's the case, then please download the installer using that link, as it is a Multilingual installation package.)

    Losing settings usually means that your user ID's  Photoshop preferences have been reset...
