Photoshop CS5 MS Visual C + +Runtime Error R6025

Im  running a 4 core AMD and just started having this problem today with  Photoshop only when I start it . All the other programs are fine. Can someone come out  with a solution. PS has been running on my system great for 2-3 months.
Any help would be appreciated !

You restored to a time when you know it was working and it didn't fix the problem?  Did you try going even further back?
Some basic stuff to cover:
Have you updated Photoshop to 12.0.1
Have you updated your video and tablet drivers (if any) to the latest release?
Have you tried using the Windows SFC tool to see if the operating system is corrupted (e.g., SFC /VERIFYONLY or SFC /SCANNOW)?
Have you tried reinstalling Photoshop?

  • SOLUTION - Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025, runtime c++

    Hello All CS5 Photoshop Users.
You have been getting an error on Photoshop CS5 Runtime Error, R6025 C++ in 64bit
I finally figured the solution for this.
What you have to do is this:
    Uninstall all the Runtimes x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
    Uninstall the entire CS5 Photoshop.
    Go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (64bit)\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Go to C:\Program Files (86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Plugins\
    Delete any 3rd party plugins
    Reboot
Re-install CS5 Photoshop, when selecting the installation make sure to install 32bit and 64bit, when you are installing 64bit and you select it will also select 32bit, install the CS5 Photoshop.
    Now install the Runtimes from Microsoft x86 x64 for 2005, 2008, 2010
Confirm the size of the runtimes from microsoft with cs5 photoshop runtimes
Location of MS Runtime - C:\Windows\winsxs
    Install the plugins and done!!!!!
Hope this helps to all CS5 Photoshop users.

To uninstall the runtimes you can easily do it from registry, best and easy way, this will clear any files which were having conflicts.
Runtime C++ is the error with Visual C++ Runtime.
Go to start > run > type regedit and click OK
    In the registry go to:
    HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version > Uninstall
Expand the Uninstall and you will see many folders or Keys with long names like {002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C} ...click on them one by one, on the right side you will see what application it is. On the right side look for these
    Name: DisplayName
    Data: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 ATL Update kb973924 - x86 9.0.30729.4148
    Name: UninstallString
    Data: MsiExec.exe /X{002D9D5E-29BA-3E6D-9BC4-3D7D6DBC735C}
Make sure the name is Microsoft Visual C++..... any version, you will for sure have more than 3-4.
Double click on the UninstallString and copy the Data, go to start > run > and paste , click on OK, and the uninstall will begin.
WARNING - Please make sure you close all the application before proceeding. Go to task manager and kill any process which is not running by system like any third party application including third party WLAN software, or any other, check system tray (bottom right corner before the clock).
Once you have all this done you will not have any problem.
When installing CS5 on 64bit application, make sure to install CS5 32bit as well because of some dll and system files being not fully compatible.
First uninstall the CS5, then uninstall the runtimes, backup your Plugins as folders, you can over write them later without reinstalling them.
    OR
Uninstall runtimes, repair CS5 with an option of installing 32bit and 64bit.

  • Visual C++ runtime error on startup audition cs5.5 win8.1

After reinstalling Audition cs5.5, I get a visual C++ runtime error at startup.  I have never had a problem before on a reinstallation.  I have tried uninstall and reinstall without any success.  Is their a version of Visual C++ that is needed here?  Is this an incompatibility problem with Win 8.1?  Has anyone else had this problem?  I haven't had any luck in the FAQ section.

The only issues I've ever heard about involving this appear to have been caused by having too many versions of the run-time on a machine. I'm not entirely sure what the situation with software only running properly with the version it was intended to is, but apparently clearing out older versions (you can check this out and remove them if you want using the normal uninstall routine) has fixed this particular problem on at least one occasion. It's worth investigating, anyway.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • I have a visual C    runtime error stopping my pse elements 10 running in win 8.1. I am not a techie so am looking for a very clear way to resolve teh issue without needing too much technical ability. Can anyone help?

I had been using my elements 10 for much of the day so do not know what I have done to upset it! I was starting up again and it began to load then offered me this line of script re a 'runtime error'. That means nothing to me except that it no longer works. I have had a peek on Google and see various suggested fixes from sources I don't know whether to trust. Also some fixes give a list of do's that to a non techie like me are not followable. Can anyone offer me some understandable guidance so I can get back to playing with my photos?

You'll need to ask in the Photoshop Elements forum whose members can better answer this.

Also keep a brief summary in the subject line and use the main posting window to describe your issue in detail.

  • Runtime error R6025 on Win 8.1

Illustrator getting very slow after 20 min... By closing the app I get a runtime error (Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library) R6025. Any thoughts?

Manually reinstall the MSVC runtimes from Microsoft. This could be a compatibility issue because the installer did not install the proper latest versions.

  • Premier Elements 11 - anyone know the fix ?  - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error - shutting down Premier Elements 11
I see there are the fixes out there for Photoshop elements, but can't find the fix for Premier Elements 11. Anyone know where it is ?

Thanks for the reply. I understand your situation. It is not a good place to be.
The deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file, or, if necessary, the whole 11.0 Folder in which it exists
should only affect the preferences that you see in Edit Menu/Preferences/General. So, if you have customized any of
them, you will need to reset them to your customized values after the consequences of the deletions are determined.
In no way move, delete, or rename files/folders that are imported into a project after the project has been saved closed.
The consequences can be disastrous from the point of view of reconnecting source media to the project file.
At one time you must have had to connect your Premiere Elements 11 Windows to the Internet to get it installed/activated.
Also, there are some "supposedly" one time activations for certain features that need an Internet connection. I have
always worked with Premiere Elements Windows with an Internet connection so I am not sure if any of these deletions
under your circumstances will have effects other than what I described. And, it is not unthinkable that a one time activation
for a particular feature may suddenly require another activation.
What you could do, instead of deletion the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file or the 11.0 Folder in which it exists, do as
the Adobe document suggests, and rename the file/folder to disable which will allow you to get back what was there
    before if necessary.
Consider the above, and we will think about this some more.
    Thanks.

  • Itunes 9.1 for windows causes visual c++ runtime error r6034

    howdy y'all,
    my setup ...
os = win xp pro, sp3, current patches installed

the original update was thru the apple software updater. after the error showed up on 1st start of itunes, i ...
= rebooted the system = no fixee
= uninstalled itunes, rebooted, reinstalled itunes, rebooted = no fixee
since i updated to 9.1 i get the following errors at itunes startup ...
    [1] visual c++ runtime error r6034
after i hit ok for item [1] i get ...
[2] itunes cannot sync information ..SNIP.. because syncing has been disabled on this computer. do you want to enable syncing?
if you do not enable ..SNIP.. to your ipod.
after i hit yes for item [2] i get ...
[3] itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. reconnect or try again later.
after i hit ok for item [3] itunes runs.
the itouch shows up in the left panel "devices" list and is selectable. pressing the sync button on the itouch summary page triggers TWO dialogs of item [1]! hitting ok on them lets the sync go forward. i presume the only actual sync going on is the music. the sync finishes with no errors and says "ipod sync is complete. ok to disconnect."
i haven't tested to get confirmation that anything is being synced so it might just be going thru the motions.
item [1] is listed on the ms site here ...
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms235560%28VS.80%29.aspx
it says the error is caused by a missing "manifest" and the fix is to rebuild the app with a proper one.

    Hi all,
I could resolve some of the issues posted here with the fix offered by jeffcoffee under http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1595916&start=285&tstart=0 (However, I still have the R6034 error message. Would be great to have a fix for that too).
    This is what he did:
    copy the file 'sqlite3.dll'
    from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support'
    to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support'
*In a 32 bit Windows OS remove (x86) from the path.
Another potential dll issue might be: 'libxml2.dll', follow the same copy routine. If the first one does not fix it.

Acrobat 9 should not have installed anything within Word 97: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html.  You may want to check Tools > Macros to see if there's anything installed into that version of Word.

  • ILL-CS2 runtime error R6025

I wrote a script that from time to time produces a "runtime error R6025
    - pure virtual function call" for no apparant reason. I've noticed that when I run the script through the debugger this error doesn't occur, but it does when I let it run on it's own. I've also checked online and read what information I could about this C++ error, but I can't seem to solve this issue.
Does anyone have any experience with this runtime error, or has any ideas on how to solve it?

    Hi Nate,
Thanks for the tip. I was finally able to write the script I wanted using VBasic, and was also able to write a more simplified version with JScript, without encountering the dreaded R6025 error (although basically the script does exactly the same)...
I will consider trying it using CS3 as well.

  • I try to search in itunes store and keep getting a runtime error R6025 - help!

I keep trying to search for music in the itunes store and I get runtime error R6025 then itunes shuts down.  Help!

    Link for the previous fix:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2292
Just an update that I did get the error once after the fix but now seems to have gone away completely. All I did after the error recurred was to add a new desktop shortcut and run as administrator. I then deleted the shortcut and went back to my usual quick access icon in the taskbar.
    Hope this helps.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error when building installer

I'm trying to build an installer for a very simple VI I've created in 8.2.  Before the build is complete I get a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error message pointing towards the labview.exe file.  I've already tried re-installing LabVIEW and deleting older versions of the LabVIEW Runtime engines with no luck.  I recently upgraded my system from LabVIEW 6.1 and I'm using Windows XP.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    LabVIEW 2012 - Windows 7
    CLAD

I included waveform storage, runtime engine 8.2, ni-visa-runtime and  ni-serial3.1. I tried to create a setup.exe by installer on an other pc. But it's completely the same behavior afterwards. I attached the error message. This message appears after I choose the path and continue the setup. It's the question which file is meaning.
I tried to create a setup.exe by installer without any additional.
The strange thing is it was unsuccessful with following message. Maybe this will be helpful to find the problem.
    CDK_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller >> CDK_Item_OnDoProperties.vi >> CDK_InstallerConfiguration_Editor.vi >> CDK_Build_Invoke.vi >> CDK_Engine_Main.vi >> CDK_Engine_BuildDevPart.vi >> NI_MDF.lvlib:MDFBuildDevPart_Open.vi

  • Apple pls fix this - MS Visual C++ Runtime error after installing itune 9.1

Ever since I upgraded itune to the latest version 9.1, I kept getting the error messasge below when I start up the computer. Tried restoring system to a previous date, and uninstalling & installing itune a couple times to no avail. Any idea what's going on and how to fix this? I had to remove itune to be able to use my computer (ugh). The irony is that the itune upgrade was mainly to enable ipad. Now that I have my ipad I can't use itune.
    The error message reads:
'MS Visual C++ Runtime Error' - 'Runtime Error'
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the support team for further assistnace.

Some people have reported that Apple Software Update can cause this error, so you might try removing that and see if it helps. Removing that utility should not affect iTunes, though you won't get automatic updates (you can just download any new version of iTunes or QuickTime manually and install it). It would, however, be wise to make a backup of any purchased content or items that would otherwise be difficult to replace, just in case something goes wrong during the removal.

  • Visual C++ Runtime Error R6016 not enough space for thread data

    1. It would be helpful if the error message actually identified the exe or dll causing the problem.

Is not a very helpful clue to the source of the error and because of its brevity comes across as being contemptuous of the user.

    2. From the active apps Desktop toolbar it appears that this problem may be associated with
    Apple IE DAV
    3. I suspect that the problem announced by this error might also be contributing to the the fact that my Chrome browser now appears to be overlaid with a pink matt variation on its entire colour scheme. I have reported the pink matt error directly to Google

Also, I suggest you to test the issue in clean boot mode to narrow down the issue.
How to perform a clean boot

If the issue doesn’t appear in clean boot mod, you can determine which one can be the cause by using dichotomy in MSconfig. Checking on half of Non-Microsoft service and restart, determining which half of the services cause the issue and repeating to check
half of the problematic half services.
Otherwise, please test the issue in Safe mode and let me know the results, then provide the screenshot of the error.

  • VISUAL C++ RUNTIME ERROR

I have a Lawson LBI portal that users run crystal reports in. The only thing on that server is the LBI.
intermittently the users will run a report and then the LBI doesnt work. check the server we have a VISUAL C++ RUNTIME ERROR VISUAL DEBUG STUDIO.  We then have to reboot the server.
any ideas what would be causing this, or a fix?

    Hi Sharon,
Not much info to go on so SAP takes no responsibility for this. You should really check with Lawson. The message indicates you need to update the C++ distribution files/packages on that server which has nothing to do with CR.
Use Google search for that error ( microsoft c++ redistribution package ) and you'll find more info on how to and what to but again, SAP takes no responsibilities, you really need to discuss with Lawson.
    Thanks again
