Photoshop CS5 on Mac OSX 10.7.5 - Monitor compensation seems to not working properly.

I've never noticed it before upgrading to Lion.
Using sRGB as working color setting, if I create a new doc and fill a layer with red (255,0,0), I see Orange color, instead of red. Similarly if I use Adobe RGB 98 as working color setting. I have Photoshop CS3 installed on virtual machine on Win XP, and I don't have this issue, red is red. If I open in PS CS3 a doc created with this red layer in PS CS5, red is red. Similarly, using GIMP with Adobe RGB 98 as working space, I see a brilliant red.
If I open a doc with the same red created in Gimp, with PS CS5 and choose "don't manage color" the red remain red. If I choose either Use doc profile (Adobe 98) or convert to profile (sRGB), the same orange come out. It drives me mad!
This is a screenshot with my square red made in sRGB, with sRGB as working color space, in save for web window without color management.
This orange is what I see in PS.
This is what I see with monitor color preview (what I would see with monitor compensation in PS window).
Anyone got any idea of what's the problem?

AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5 - file collecting feature does not work anymore
hi, I am experiencing issues with the file collecting feature out of AE CC 13.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.9.5. I have the same kind of problems on my MacBook Pro Retina 15'' (2014) with 1TB SSD and 16 GB Ram and on my iMac (mid 2011 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB RAM). I open a project without any problem, then try to collect onto an external hard drive. AE gives me error message, it cannot find a certain file (never the same file, I tried many times). I hand collected a current project onto external HD from my MacBook Pro, went to my imac, opened the hand collected Project from external HD (again no issue while opening) then again tried to perform the collect command. again error message notifying me that a certain file is missing. This is the case with different AE projects!! The After Effects collect files command to me is a very important feature that provides backup safety. with this feature not properly working I feel insecure, I need to fix this asap.
Oh yes. My bad. It is in face the one-second mark. And it is in every
project I have tried.
The assets in the first project that I noticed this happening on (which was
also the first project I opened after upgrading to OSX 10.10.2) include:
- Solid background with a color gradient
- Alpha Track Matte
- Optical Flare
- Particular
- Null object
But this exact same problem occurs with every project I've tried to export,
regardless of what's in the project/comp -
Photoshop CS5/Lightroom 3 integration issue - "Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" does not work
When clicking "Edit Copy with Lightoomroom Adjustments" from Lightroom, I get an error in Lightroom 3 complaining that the Camera Raw plug-in is not up to date; full message below.
"This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in version 6.1 for full compatibility.
Camera Raw version 4.6 is the latest version available for Photoshop CS3. If raw file support for your camera was introduced after Camera Raw 4.6, the Photoshop integration features in Lightroom require Photoshop CS4 and the latest Camera Raw version 5 plug-in.
The version of Camera Raw plug-in currently installed is 0.0."
After I click "Open Anyways", Photoshop CS5 is initiated but it seems to have lost context of why it is opened and asks me what file I want to open (i.e. the Open As dialog).
"Edit Copy" and "Edit Original" from Lightroom 3 works as expected and opens images fine in Photoshop, CS5 however.
My installation is on Windows 7. I currently also have Lightroom 1.4 and Photoshop CS3 installed. Everything worked fine with the old configuration. I also tried the same workflow in Lightroom 1.4 again just now, which is now linked to CS5 instead of CS3. The "Edit Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" also work just fine.
Things that I have tried but do not worked:
I did an Update via the Help -> Update menu, and also manually downloaded the Camera Raw 6.1 plug-in.
Blew away the Photoshop preferences file
Made sure that Lightroom 3 points to Photoshop for editor
I'm thinking that I'll try uninstall CS3 next. Anyone else encountered this issue?[CS5.1 (12.1) ACR 6.5RC / LR 3.5RC; MacbookPro 4gb Leopard 10.5.8 ] As a Lightroom instructor, up until now this has been a vexxing problem to explain to my students. Even if ACR in Photoshop is up to date (I just downloaded 6.5RC and installed the PS Plugin), I still get the error when attempting to edit from Lightroom 3.5RC. I deleted the PS prefs file to no avail. I was not willing to re-install Photoshop as a solution (per some blog's suggestion), although that might be the ultimate answer. But what an ordeal if so!
For a solution, I went back to a resolution I devised when I had a CS3 compatibility problem with LR3. I went into the Preferences of Lightroom and manually chose the Photoshop app as the "custom" image editor. I went back to edit the file in PS from Lightroom and the ACR error disappeared. Try it. Yes, this means you need to use the Custom editor as your image editor, but it seems to have resolved the issue. -

My HP Scanning Software for my D110 PhotoSmart printer stopped working with the upgrade on my IMac from 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) to 10.9 (Mavericks). Help! I don't want to have to use something like VueScan and abandon HP. I really need to be able to save scanned documents to disk, and right now my scanner won't let me save scanned pages.

I see that you are having issues scanning in MAC OX 10.9. The problem is that there are no drivers available for the D110 for Mavericks at the moment. The first link below will bring you to another page in the forums that will show you an alternate way of scanning.

Please helpThat is correct Das_Sad. CS2 will not run on Intel based processors under Mac OS. You will need to find a Mac computer with a PowerPC processor if you wish to run Creative Suite 2.

No, the CS5 software is operating system-specific and even if you were willing to trade for the Windows version you could not at this point due to that only being possible for the latest. release, CS6.

I have the CS 5 Suite instaled on 2 of my Macs (per Adobe licensing). I upgraded (aftwrward, in 2012) just the Photoshop CS 5 app to Photoshop CS 6. There is a GREAT filter [then new] with PS CS 6 called "Oil Paint". I hope to be able to find out from anyone if there a free and compatible: filter, filter set, or plug-in(s) set, so I can add the filter "OIL PAINT" - to download & add to Photoshop CS 5 (Mac OSX 10.8) ?

PS - I downloaded Pixel Bender - but that does not seem to provide what I am looking for..! In fact - after I installed it - it is NOT embedded in Photoshop CS 5, contrary to Adobe's claim that once you install it - it will be there in CS 5. Pixel Bender opens separately; and looks to be [only] a-user-definable add-on for PS CS 5+ [and done via custom user progamming changes - which on first glance did NOT seem easy to figure out. And I AM a programmer, beside being a highly creative person (for decades), and with all forms of digital media).Please advise: I have the [circa 2010] 64-bit v.CS 5 Photoshop (et.al) - that has been updated by Adobe a few times, by my choice- or by their automatic update method (which I try NOT to utilize, automatically: I like to know what it is that is being installed BEFOEit happens. Think the now unstoppable Google Chrome v32 for Macs. Unbelievable gall from Google; and it breaks anything that is supposed to run /stream from the web in Apple Inc's QUICKTIME). Anyway: When I clicked on your provided link (above), it brought meto the PIXEL BENDER page, including numerous archived PLUG-IN downloads; Neither of the URIs (for a plug-in that enables OIL PAINT filter in PS CS 5) - for any of the offered 64-bit Mac OXS plug-ins /downloads. Nothing happens. Can you please explain more; or perhaps what it is I am doing wrong? NOTE: I did not "sign in" at the time, to the Adobe site with my Adobe account ID /pwd; but then - I did not think I HAVE to sign in download a freely available plug-in.

Have you tried resetting at launch (cmd+opt+shift)? That card and 10.6.6, ostensibly, should work. My older ATI 3870 on 10.6.6 works. I don't have an iMac to check with just now, but hopefully can take a look next week.
