Photoshop CS5 updates not working under windows 8 64bit, updates download error

I´ve changed from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 8 64-bit. Since this point updates reported download error for all components. I´ve downloaded all updates und saved them. Report is still the same

doing the cscleanertool helped. everything is ok but the update Pixel bender 2.5. this is still not working but i can live with it. the new Installation with files downloaded from Adobe was also unusable und i switched again to my cd´s. then everything was fine.

AC97 onboard sound DOES NOT WORK under Windows 2000

Just an FYI, the AC97 Audio on your MSI mainboard will not work under Windows 2000, for which the AC97 hardware is not certified. If you try to use it, your audio output will be intermittant at best and will crash your audio applications at worst. A maddening and disheartening problem for people like me who didn't realize the problem existed and spent many hours trying to getting it to go away.

and secondly and I know this from experience, ( but on 32 bit ) is it loaded already as in sat in task manager, but not actually get at able, killing the processes cures it or a reboot of course

Adobe Photoshop CS5 is not working with Lion. It is totally non responsive to a point where i cannot work. all other CS5 programs seem to be running well so far. any advice? if no, then how do i revert back to Snow leopard?

I had real problems with all Adobe apps - it said I needed to install a version of Jave Runtime, but kept saying that I wasn't connected to the internet to complete the action. This was not the case - I was connected to the internet.
I followed this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421 to install a version of Java and all Adobe apps fire up now. Haven't done much testing within the apps, but at least I'm further ahead than I was.
So thanks to the message boards for helping me out.

Anyone had successs in this or another Bluetooth Keyboard after a bit of a struggle? What did you do to get it working? When I Add Device in Bluetooth it sees the keyboard but enlessly scans for it when I try to select and connect. The Rocketfish Bluetooth mouse worked just fine.

My friend, i have both, the bluetooth mouse and keyboard here that your talking about. and the keyboard was a struggle to pair with the windows 7 64 bit.... i think i spent 2 days working with it. and i didnt try anything special, i just kept trying to pair
it, and unplugging the dongle and working with it... and after a while. it worked... Lately though, i have been looking into getting a wired mouse and keyboard becuase of the delays and sleep time i have with my current keyboard(rocketfish). supposidly there
is a way around the delays but it disables all the options on your keyboard. IE the media buttons, and web browsing features. and my mouse keeps dieing off too....
Also, after researching these products more, i found that alot of people experienced similar problems with them, Being delays and mouse failure. Even with fresh batteries and all. The products werent meant to be used long term(2-3 years) for extensive use...
I dont know about you but i thinki paid 100 bucks for the pair so thats only 25 bucks a year... Which is kinda silly considering i coulda got a better one that wont cough up on me.
If anyone reading this finds a good wireless keyboard that doesnt delay, and a mouth that doesnt delay...(my biggest concern). Please mention it. i am very interested in.

Is your camera working under Windows 8?
Mine is not. It used to work some time ago, but even then the driver was instable. Now, since a few weeks, it seems not to work at all anymore. Reinstalling the driver does not help.
This may ba a hardware or a software issue, that's why it is important for me to know if yours is working.

It should be a hardware problem if you are able to run the camera perfectly. Are you using a 64- or 32-bit OS?

Wifi not working under windows 8.1 with Bootcamp

Hi, I have installed windows 8.1 under bootcamp. it seems to work fine however the wifi connaction is not existing under windows. therefore i can only connect via ethernet. Anyone an idea how to solve it? Thx

I don't know if it's still interesting for you, but I've had the exact same issues. The only solution, as far as there is no official change from Apple, you can install Windows 8.0 via Bootcamp with official drivers for Bootcamp (wifi works great) and then install the upgrade to 8.1 as Windows still uses the former installed drivers from Win 8 on 8.1 as well.
Hope that helped, 8.1 runs even better on my MB Air than Mac OS 10.9 :/

Sound blaster pro 2 (ct1600) not working under windows

i have a little problem... i have a Creative Sound Blaster Pro 2 (PCI) card (ref.: CT600) that WAS working under windows 98SE. Now i have installed windows XP pro SP2 and i have no sound.
after that i have tried the procedures you describe on the sticky above BUT... still no sound. after a few hours of search i came to understand that i'm not the only one with this problem and taht it's driver compatibility related "SO" i decided to search creative labs for a solution and i find a driver that suposedly would work and (another but...) still no sound...
what can i do? can you provide some info OR a driver download link? i would apreciate the help...

Photoshop Elements does not start under Windows Vista

The Twain-Module of my Canon CanoScan FS4000US Filmscanner works only under Windows Vista (no newer OS!). Fortunately I own an older Notebook with Vista as OS, so I have PSE Version 5.0.2 installed and use it to import my old color negatives via the twain module. Fine! It even works with 42 bit. But suddenly, PSE refuses to start and freezes at the window loading the libraries. At this stage it can only be stopped with the help of the task manager. A little search in the internet informs me that I am not the only user with that specific problem. Any help from Adobe?

After a view days of searching a found a solution: I installed the MS Visual C++ Reditributable für Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 (both 32 bit and 64 bit) and now Photoshop Elements runs without any problems.

Photoshop CS5 tools not working

Ok, I have taken a two classes at the University level previously, although I am quite rusty, but I haves watched no less than 10 tutorials today. I can't seem to get the basic functions to work right. Most importantly, I can't get the mask layer to work. I paint over the layer mask, which shows in the Navigator, but not in the window I am working on. I tried resetting preferences Control/Alt/Shift and that does nothing. I am using CS5. I would be glad to take a snapshot of my settings, but I have no idea which one's are goofed up.
I am not a computer moron--I am a Information Systems major with 14 higher level classes under my belt. But this Photoshop thing is about to talk me right out of that idea.
Please help as I have a month off to learn this program, but it looks like that won't be near long enough.

Thanks for the response. It says it is unavailable that I have to upgrade my video card. Does that mean the mask layers don't work? I know I have used them before. I am going to try something radical and re-boot my computer. I have been at this for several hours today & just keep getting more and more bewildered.

I have windows 7 and cannot get the Bridge from Photoshop CS5 to work this is a real problem as most of my photographs are taken in RAW and I can't see the picture in the folder

Touchscreen is not working after windows 10 update on HP Stream x360

Hi I Have a problem with my HP stream x360 after doing the windows 10 update. Seems that there is no drivers for touchscreen in windows 10 yet, even a generic driver. I've checked the devices manager and found 6 Uknown devices with no drivers. I installed the HP support assitant but didn't found any driver. Windows update neither. Under the Human Interface devices group i cant see the touchscreen and in the settings app is also absent. I also checked the diagnostic tool in the BIOS but the touchscreen is working fine. Please help me!!! Thank you four your help.

Skype can't even recognise it.Under device manager it says there is a USB device with an error, but it doesn't say what it is. Most probably the issue is with the Windows 10 driver since you mentioned the unit works with Windows 8 and 8.1. Unfortunately, we do not have the updated drivers for Windows 10 yet. Sony is still validating the updates from certain vendors and testing Vaio computers. You may check the announcement from Sony USA: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/os10upgrade.pl? I'm note quite sure about the process in other country but feel free to contact Sony support in your location.
