Photoshop CS6 - blurred/jagged picture at irregular zoom levels
I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a desktop running Windows 7 with AMD Radeon HD 6750 and I noticed that when I zoom at 66.7% or 33%, the pictures edges look "jagged"/blurry, etc. and the image only has a smooth rendering at 100%, 50%, 25%, etc.
I wouldn't ask about this except, I have the same exact version of Photoshop on my laptop, running Windows 7 with Intel's HD 4000 built-in graphics, and this computer displays smooth rendering of images at any zoom level, no matter what. So why the difference? The settings in the Preferences > Performance section is identical on both computers.
Yeah, sorry. Computer won't let me update the driver. First I installed the wrong one and crashed the computer, then I reinstalled the old one, downloaded the correct one, it installed, no crash, the computer restarted and it told me I had no driver, so I had to reinstall the old one. No hope of updating apparently. I hope that wasn't the solution to the Photoshop problem >.<
I also keep getting conflicting messages from my computer. Photoshop said I had the 6750, but Windows said I had the 5750. When the second install failed (of the 5750), Windows now tells me I have the 6750. I don't get it. But I guess this a question I should ask AMD.

In this video tutorial Julieanne walks you through the best way to pan and zoom a “time lapse” image sequences, video clip and still photograph using the new Motion options in Photoshop CS6. For those wanting even greater control, Julieanne also demonstrates how to use smart objects to take advantage of Photoshop CS6’s new Transform attribute in the Timeline panel.

Photoshop CS6 Blur tool controls
Hi, I've been having this problem since the first Photoshop CS6 beta, across multiple different PCs. And the problem is this:
The new blur filters available in CS6 don't have any on-screen controls visible at all (the ones that let you adjust the position and strength and other parameters), like shown in the marketing videos and tutorials. I don't know if it's a Windows specific problem, but I've seen this problem on multiple PCs.
Anyone else have this problem? More importantly, does anyone know a fix for it? I assume it's a widespread problem.
Cheers,
RihoWhat the... How the... WHY would that be disabled by default? Why isn't it more obvious? God forbid. Sometimes I don't understand where their decisions come from...

Did you know that you can not only reposition but also transform images over time? In this Episode of The Complete Picture, Julieanne demonstrates how easy it is using the power of Smart Objects in Photoshop CS6.
http://adobe.ly/QQ13iDHello,
I'm actually trying to realize this type of manipulations, but with the Photoshop CS5 Extended edition. Unfortunately, when I convert my layer into a smart object I don't get the transformation option. Is there some way to do this with my version? -
There are several advantages to the newly redesigned Crop tool in Photoshop CS6. In this video tutorial, Julieanne demonstrates the refined interface, new features, customizable presets, enhanced tools and essential shortcuts that will make cropping easier than ever.
http://adobe.ly/LiFbdIIn CS6 if you simply switch to the crop tool after making the selection the crop area is automatically set to the selected area and if you don't want to change anything click on the ok check mark and you are done. Is that what you want to do?

In this Quick Tip, Julieanne demonstrates the new Color Lookup Adjustment layer and walks you through how to download a template to quickly apply these new “looks” to your images. The files she references can be found here. http://adobe.ly/Ng3afA
http://adobe.ly/LiGadTCan the Camera Calibration tech. in LR be used to keep IR raw images looking like the jogs on back of camera?

Problems with Photoshop cs6 tools
I just got Photoshop cs6, and I am probably at intermediate level in expertise. When I try to use the marquee tool, the lasso tool or the quick selection tool on an image, the image just goes black. I have to click back to "Open" on the History the get the actual image back. I have Windows 7 64 bit. I have never had this problem with other versions of Photoshop.
Hi there! Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I moved your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum, where you'll get more specialized help.

Problem with zoom in Photoshop CS6
Hello
I've got problem with new(?) feature in Photoshop CS6.
When I'm working on my project and have for example 150% zoom and I want to move workspace with SPACE+LMB.
In my previous version (CS3) I can do this without problem but know Photoshop shows me my file with FIT TO SCREEN zoom and some frame to choose
which screen area I want to zoom in.
It's just zooming out to full view of file. I hate this, but I can't turn it off.

I am very interested in knowing if any user out there could somehow fix the problem by reseting, reinstalling, etc. I got an update a few hours ago, and that didnt fix it either.
I have tried a lot of suggestions, and the only one seems to be working for me is to turn on "Scrubby Zoom"
Noel,
I run Adobe CS5 on MBP 10.6 and CS6 on MBPr 10.8. No additional plugins, English US keyboard. The laptops come with standard configuration... nonetheless, they both have the same issue.
I am sure my computers have different settings from others, but this issue does not seem to be isolate as there are other users have experience it too.
I personally, don't think it is too hard to re-create. Most likely happen when
1. Hold down space+command to zoom in
2. Release keys, then hold down space and start moving around
3. there you go, "bird's eye view" comes
One thing I notice is that the problem does not occur all the time.

Problems keep color same in picture in Photoshop CS6?
Whenever I zoom in, in Photoshop CS6 the color changes between the orignal photo color, to a more contrasted color, and then back. It happens when I also use the lasso tool, patch tool, zoom, etc. I would just like help making this go away. Any information would be helpful. I've included a video, with a random image. P.S The effect happens with any picture in RBG, but goes away when I switch to CMYK. It also happnes If I type in text.
This means either your card or driver are not up to the task. Find the make and model of the card and go to manufactors website and download the latest driver version. Win8 is still new so all the fixes are not in yet with drivers. Good luck.
Some with Win8 are experiencing screen flickering which MS and GPU manufactors are aware of. Seems to be more prevalent in ATI cards. -
Adobe Photoshop CS6 100% Zoom Issue
Adobe Photoshop CS6 Version 13.0.6 x64
OS X Yosemite Version 10.10
100% Zoom is very tiny on my screen. How do I fix?An Images dpi setting has nothing to do with it. Its all about the number of pixels you have. Image for the web have fewer pixels. It does not matter it you set the image DPI resolution is 72, 300 or any other value when you don't resample the number of pixels remain the same. When you display actual pixels 100% zoom an image with 10K pixels with a 300dpi is the same 10K pixel image with a 72dpi resolution setting. Printers will use the images dpi setting to adjust pixel size. Displays do not they are run at their native DPI resolution whatever that is. So a 10K pixel image with a 72DPI setting and a 10K pixels image with a 300DPI setting will be displayed as a 10K pixel image at the displays dpi resolution.
DPI defines Pixel size pixel density 300DPI means 90000 square pixels per inch so the pixel size would be 1/300" x 1/300". 72DPI means 5184 pixels per square inch so pixel size is 1/72" x 1/72"
So if you have an image with 7200px x 7200px and set the dpi tp 72DPI and print it will print 100" x 100" do know of a printer the cal handle 100" paper
So if you have an image with 7200px x 7200px and set the dpi tp 300DPI and print it will print 24" x 24" you need a large form printer that can handle 24" wide paper
This image can not be displayed on a display zoomed to 100% only part of the image will fit you will need to scroll about the image. Unless you have a 34" display with a square aspect ratio with a 300DPI native resolution that I don't know about. -
Where is the "blur kernel" one click deblur in Photoshop CS6?
Where is the "blur kernel” one click deblur in Photoshop CS6? (Pretty sure it’s not there.)
Is deblur still in development? Or was it killed? Is there any status update on the progress of the deblur function? An overwhelming majority of the information available reference the same October 2011 Adobe Max conference demo.
(Adobe showed off the new deblur prototype at its Adobe Max conference in October during a set of feature sneak peeks...)
The way the feature was described was:
"The prototype feature uses a computer algorithm to analyze how the image was blurred and then creates what Adobe called a "blur kernel." After the kernel is generated, it can show you information such as what the motion trajectory of the camera was while the shutter was open -- causing the blur in the first place. The next step is to simply hit a "restore sharp image" button and the photograph is fixed."
It was cited by some sources as being an upcoming Photoshop CS6 feature while other sources were more vague with statements resembling "It's not clear if or when the new unblur feature will make it into a future version of Photoshop, as the company warned all sneak peek features were just prototypes with no concrete product plans."
Where is the latest with the Adobe Photoshop "blur kernel” and the Adobe Photoshop one click deblur feature?one of the things I think about as an engineer is that in order for something like this to work, you should probably start with manuals adjustments to processing the the out-of-focus blur first. after you have finished with this, you can do the motion blur. I would have to really think hard about it to see if there is an algorithm such as a kernel or something to convert an image into a path. one problem is you are stuck with the image boundaries. if they weren't there, things would be so much easier (but it would also take infinitely long to process). the image boundaries MIGHT skew the kernel, depending on how you handle the boundaries (for example, usually you just assume those values are black or 0's, or you may choose a 50% gray, whatever fits best with the kernel you are working with).
adobe may be on to something there, but they only had half of the equation with the idea.
I used to tinker with image processing many yarns ago back for fun in BASICA/GWBASIC.
if you have the kernel
[-2 0 2]
[-2 0 2]
[-2 0 2]
which amplifies vertical lines, you would want to handle the boundaries by processing them as 0's.
NOTE TO ADOBE: it might start getting into Machine Vision technology when you start doing the path recognition. or AI.
if you can get the imge into a path kernel, it's essentially a bitmap of a path. you can trace that path using akima spline curves. (will lose 1-2 samples off each end), but the tracing program might just exist out there somewhere. just google "bitmap to akima spline curve". and akima spline curve has all the
points along its path, unlike a bezier. I like akima spline curves, I have been trying to get ps engineers to use them for a while for good reason. this is one of them.
there are also cubic splines as an alternative.
chances are that the curve will have rounded corners due to the weight of the camera.
now that you have the path,it's simply a matter of taking samples along the curve wherever you want. (usually in an array which you can linearly inerpolate across the points in the array for simplicity if you want) -
Images appear fine in Photoshop cs6 and cc, but print too dark, and also show too dark in Windows picture viewer. How can I correct this? Is this a Photoshop setting issue or what?
Ok, look at your files in Photoshop. What is the profile assigned to them? You can find this out by going to the Status bar at the bottom, clicking on the right-pointing triangle and choosing document Profile from the list.
Then in Windows, go to your Control Panel > Color Management and add sRGB (if it isn't there) and select it as your default profile.
I hope that will work. -
I just purchased and loaded Photoshop CS6. Pictures (actually this is for all content in any layers) will not display at all or only partually display (see picture below). I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but there is no change. The other Adobe products from the Master Suite Collection run fine (Flash, Encoder, etc). I am thinking that my instalation disc may be corrupted. Can you give me any advice?
Most likely the video card driver. Update it in GPU makers website. Need make and model of video card.

White Wall - Photoshop CS6 corrupted files won't zoom
So my Photoshop CS6 is slowly corrupting files. I open psds to find nothing but a giant whit wall. I zoom out and the white disappears but then I can't zoom in any further than 50%. My rulers however, show that I'm zooming in. Then when I select another layer... it snaps to % I should be looking at. (Also... this particular file won't give me a preview in the icon on my desktop. Related?) This is not happening with all my files. Just the ones surrounding this particular project. Please. Help. Me.
Welcome to the forum.
With display issues, the first thing that I recommend is to check the installed video driver, and if it is not the latest, update that from the mfgr's Web site.
What OS are you running?
What video card (make & model) is installed?
What is the video driver version?
Is that the latest on the AMD/ATI, or nVidia Web site?
Good luck, and if that does not help, at least we will have gotten that out of the way early.

In this episode of The Complete Picture, Julieanne demonstrates two methods for one of the most common trouble shooting techniques: resetting the Photoshop Preferences.
http://adobe.ly/QPZVvnBeen looking for one of your tutorials referencing the kind of problem I seem to be having, but haven't located it. It concerns Photoshop CS6 and saving files to jpeg when an image has been created using levels and layers. The problem is this:
Recently I got Photoshop CS6 and started using Layers. I put stars into a night sky. Followed basic proceedures starting with noise filters and reducing the number of stars through levels and screen settings etc, I created an image that started with thousands of stars to around a hundred or so. I added some light to the stars and some color, then saved it as a photoshop image. All fine. When I tried to save the image as a jpeg, some of the layers went missing and the final saved image contained all the thousands of stars I started with. Is this a bug in the program and if so is there a fix for it. If there is another way to get around this problem and allow me to save the image as a jpeg without losing layers, that would be fine as well. I've tried grouping layers and images together and other collective methods, but the end results are still the same. Layers go missing and the sky is filled with all the stars (noise filter settings), not the finished product.
Thanks in advance

Views not created in Oracle.
The Migration process did not create views in the oracle schema. The access source database has 60 queries. There are no errors in the error log about view creation. As I understand, the migration process should convert the queries in access 2000 as
