Just recently upgraded from Photoshop CS5.5 64bit to Photoshop CS6 64 bit. Crashes when using burn tool, crop tool, or dodge tool? Thanks for your help!
Turn off OpenGL in the prefs and update your graphics driver before re-enabling it.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. The standard answer with all text issues simply is, that you have a "bad font" on your system and need to get rid of it.

In previous versions of Photoshop I have used this pligin (http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/) and it has worked just fine.

Photoshop CC crash when using Nik Collection
I have been using Lightroom 5 and Nik Collections plugins successfully for a while and just got Photoshop CC.
Unfortunately Photoshop CC crash when I save my work that I have done in ColorEfex Pro 4 or SilverEfex Pro 2.
The other plugins in the Nik Collection works fine, I work with TIFF and layers. My work flow is that I do some basic work in Lightroom then "Edit in...PS". From PS I use the Nik plugins, normally I'd do Dfine, Sharpner and then SilverEfex or ColorEfex. The crash happens when I get back to PS after saving my work and that last layer is never created and all my work is lost.
I would be grateful for any help. Below is the data from my system. Thanks !

Installed TWAIN devices: NONEThe solution in my case when I posted this was to contact Google who sent me files that disabled the GPU, updating the driver didn't do the trick. The crashes stopped when the GPU was disabled but Nik was painfully slow.
No I have a new machine with a more powerful GPU and everything worked fine for a while then Colour Efex started to crash when I opened it in PS. Google gave me a link to AMD where I got the latest driver and now I think it's working again, I'm not sure because I have not done much work lately.
Bottom line....Nik seems to require a pretty powerful machine both when it comes to RAM and GPU.

Help! Photoshop CS6 hangs when using brush, clone, healing brush tools etc on Mac
I am having a big problem when using the new CS6 on my Mac (os x 10.7.4). When switching to a new tool, like a brush, or clone stamp, or healing brush etc, Photoshop hangs for about 20 seconds before resuming. It's not 3rd party plug-ins, because I get the same behaviour when I run using the shift key and third party plug-ins are disabled. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens frequently. I've heard that others have had similar problems... are there any solutions - is it a known bug?

Photoshop CS6 crashes when selecting tools
Hi, I'm having the same problem as a few other members (Photoshop CS6 occasionally crashes when selecting tools) and have updated the driver on my HD5770 card to the latest version (8.961.0.0) as this is the recommended fix. Unfortunately this hasn't fixed the problem.
Here is the error report from the most recent crash.
This is very irritating as I inevitably lose some of my work when the application crashes.
What else do you suggest as a fix?

I've reinstalled Photoshop twice as well with no developments.

My card (Radeon X 1300 / X 1550) is not listed in the "Tested video cards for Photoshop CS6" section.
If I go to Edit->Preferences->Performance, and mouse-over the "Graphics Processor Settings" section, it says "Photoshop detected an error in your display driver. Update or reinstall the driver and check Use Graphics Processor to retry".
Is there any way around this? -
Photoshop cs6 frozen when using the liquify tool
I am facing a very similar problem as the user on this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5163451
Essentially when I open up the liquify tool, even if I just press cancel, photoshop will just freeze and I have to kill the process manually. I suspect it is a video card issue, so I checked and ensure the laptop is using the latest driver.

Photoshop CS6 crashes after using the Transform tool (Ctrl+T). Help! ;; ^ ;;
I just installed CS6 last night on my laptop and I was super excited to use it.... As I was about to edit a picture, I pressed the Ctrl+T... next thing you know, photoshop cs6 just crashes. O_O. What is wrong?? My OS is Windows 8, photoshop cs6 64-bit, it's the latest version too!... T_T

Photoshop CS6 crashes when doing anything
I can start it just fine, but it crashes when I open a new file. Happen on both x86 and x64. I find it weird that I can run After Effects CS6. But not photoshop, So please help me.

Photoshop CS5 crashes when using certain function
Hi,
I have just downloaded the trial version of Adobe CS5 and it appears to crash when you use specific tools. Particularly the program crashes when I try to perform a photomerge or view System Info. There is no exact error message except a generic message that says Photoshop CS5 stopped operating correctly by Windows. I have tried both the 64 bit version and 32 bit version and have performed a reinstall with no sucess. I believe I might stand a better chance with a deletion of the registry entry but am not sure what values I should delete upon the next reinstall.
The other issue I have is that Photoshop CS5 seems to detect my 2nd GPU and not my primary GPU which does not allow me access to hardware acceleration along with the display profile for the third monitor. Is there a way to have Photoshop CS5 only access one GPU and not another one (the task is only being executed on the monitors being driven by the one GPU)?

Not happy about having my 3rd monitor disabled (run all other tasks not linked to Photoshop in there) so hopefully this will eventually be addressed in the future.

Photoshop CS6 crashes when trying to print
I'm using Photoshop CS6 for quite a while without any problems.
Im running PS CS6 on Windows 7 Pro x64.
Since a few days Photohop always crashes without any message when I try to open the printing dialogue.
That happens before the dialogue is shown, so I can't even select a printer.
Therefore I guess it's not an issue of the printer driver.
Restarting my PC didn't help.
Does anybody know about this beahviour and can provide a solution.

I finally found the following solution:
By chance I tried some different Photoshop files that could be printed in CS6.
So it semmed to be an issue within the (presumably corrupted) files.
And also the corrupted files that lead to the crash of CS6 could be printed in the previous version (CS5).
So I opened one file in CS5 and changed the printer, that ist stored within the file, and saved it back to disk.
Next I opened the corrupted file in CS6 and was able to open the print dialogue.
After changing back the printer, I was able to print from CS6.
Now I have to do this for all corrupted files.
Though having found a solution, I still can't figure what caused the problem.

CS6 crashed when used RAMdisk on Windows 8
I have Photoshop CS6, I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (both x64). I use the RAM disk as a scratch disk (16 GB RAM total, 4GB RAMdisk). When I use filter liquify, Photoshop crashed. I tried two RAMdisks and both have the same behaviour. In Windows 7 it worked good. I have final version of Windows 8 from MSDN, no beta.
It's generally a bad idea - don't use a RAM disk for scratch. Photoshop will work better overall if you give it all the RAM possible (roughtly 14 GB in your case) and use a hard drive for scratch.
Keep in mind Photoshop's use of scratch space quite often runs into the tens or even hundreds of gigabytes!
Regarding how well Photoshop works on Windows 8 - well, I'd say you're more likely to be having problems with the display drivers than the RAM disk, or maybe there's some kind of coupling. Keep in mind that Adobe has not yet said they officially support operation on Windows 8. It may be that they're holding off release of the 13.0.1 update until they've had some time to test and tweak Photoshop on Windows 8.

Photoshop CC crashes when using 3D.
