Photoshop CS6 Extended 64 bit stopped working (asking for registration)

Is there a solution for this yet?
I registered this in 2012 and have been using it since on my Dell 64 bit laptop Windows 7.
Now its asking for registration again.
I don't want to use up another activation.
What happened to Adobe support? Why is there no phone number to call?

I already looked at what was available at the link.
I entered the license again and this time it worked.
Does this mean that I have used both of my installations?
This PC is the only one it's been installed on. I should still have one more installation.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-Bit GPU Acceleration Stopped Working

I've been using Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit when one day the GPU acceleration features stopped working. I closed the application and restarted it and the GPU acceleration still didn't work. I couldn't rotate the canvas or use scrubby zoom. I rebooted my system and it still wasn't working. I check my performance preferences and my graphics processor was detected with the "Use Graphics Processor" box checked. I unchecked it and rechecked but the GPU acceleration still wasn't working. I uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it. I got the GPU acceleration to work opening the application right after the install. I close Photoshop CS6 64-bit and reopened it and the GPU acceleration wasn't working again. I am able to use GPU acceleration features in Photoshop CS6 32-bit with no problem. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Ultimate Edition and I have a GeForce 280m GTX GPU. Would there be anyone out there who can help me with this issue. Thanks.

From what I gathered on this Forum there is a good chance that it may be related to the driver – unfortunately it could be either becasuse it’s obsolete or a bad new version.

  • Interworking between Lightroom 5.7 64 bit and Photoshop CS6 extended 64 bit (Raw update 8.7)

I have recently upgraded my Lightroom 5.6 to 5.7 and my Photoshop CS6 extended 64 bit to Raw Update 8.7. Since this update my Image Edit process going from Lightroom to Photoshop is no longer seamless. Right clicking on the image and selecting "edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6" eventually returns an error message "The file could not be Edited because Adobe Photoshop could not be Launched" after about 2 minutes. At this point the image opens in Photoshop

    See here for a solution.

Do I need to adjust my set-up to run this? The PC operates on a 32-bit  system/Windows 6.

You need to provide much more info: What files are you trying to place into what document? What are the document sizes, resolution, color mode etc.? Anything else we should know about? This could be a million things from color profile issues to color space mismatches to the files to be placed being damaged or badly structured or a importer module being broken. Also provide exact system info and crash logs:

  • Lightroom won't work, asks for registration, but I have a membership

I recently bought a creative cloud membership after running trials of PS, AI, LR etc. Most programs are working as full versions now, but Lightroom is asking for a serial number when I try to open it.. I've searched thru how to activate it, but the answer isn't happening. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but the creative cloud list won't let me re-install it fresh as it just shows up in my list of programs as being up to  date.. what do I do? • Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit Install error

Everytime I try to install photoshop it says that I have a pirated or non-genuine copy. I have googled it and installed the adobe manager but it still doesn't fix the issue. The 32 bit version installs fine but the 64 bit version keeps giving me the error. I have no clue what to do anymore, I am extremely frustrated that something I payed $400 for can't even install, not to mention the lack of information as to what I even need to do to resolve this issue. I hope someone can give me some advice as to what is exactly causing the issue, because the fact that the 32-bit version installed just fine but the 64-bit failed boggles my mind.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta Trial Version stopped working.

I have tried uninstalling the program, I even re installed my windows. And it is a trial version and not cracked. Is there anyone that can help me fix this problem?

While I have no recollection of seeing that, I'm fairly confident I would have done so if prompted. But, just in case I missed it, is there anyway to do it within the seven year period?
I don't see a "Registration" menu item.  "Deactivate" is grayed out.

  • Acrobat 7 stops working, asked for reinstall

I ran Clean My Mac, and after, Acrobat and Distiller (7) refused to load, saying I should reinstall from my original CDs. Well, I didn't originally load them from CDs, but via download. How do I reinstall without resorting to CDs. (Yes, my prior backups failed me in this instance, too.) And no, I don't want to purchase Acrobat 9, just reinstall 7.) Any clues about how I might accomplish this? Thanks. david

When Acrobat 6 came out there was a Standard Version. However there were so many Complaints that you could actually do the same or less with it than the Mac's on internal Acrobat engine, it was dropped as of version. In the PC world there is a Standrd version all it does is Make PDF's. You can's do anything but just very basic stuff. The Pro Version In Mac was equivelent to what was in Acrobat 5 e version. (woud do everything except the Print press stuff). In PC Much the same. PC's also have an extended version inwhich you can use XML. There never has been and most likley never be an extended version for mac.
Now, starting in Version 7 there is Pro version only for Mac. There is no reason for a Standard version since since what's in a Standard Package the mac system can already do.  PC viewing system is not based on PDF so, even a Standard version is needed.

  • My DW CS stopped working, asks for PC restart but still wont do anything. An error code 148:3 is given. Need help to resolve this.

My Dreamweaver CS will not start. A popup screen says that the application has encountered a problem and the computer has to be restarted. I do that but still get the same screen.
An error code is given: Error 148:3.
What can I do? This is a legit copy and cant uninstall it as I cannot deactivate it without opening it first, so I cannot reinstall it.

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended Slow Load ("Measuring Memory...")

    Hi guys!
Sorry English is not my native language.
I am run Photoshop CS6 Extended 64-bit (from design premium) on Windows 7, 64-bit with 8GB RAM.
When I first start PS, it looks like it freeze on the text "Measuring Memory". If I wait for about 30 seconds, it will eventually load and everything works fine. No issues with Save for Web or anything.
I have read the other threads on this and tried all of these solutions:
Checked my ram in memtest (15 passes, no error)
    Trash preferences and open again
    Un-install and re-install (tried twice)
Updated PS to latest with Adobe Update
    Reboot machine
This happen when I first run Windows, so lack of RAM is not the issue. I have no printers, other hard drive, or remote network drive attached to machine. Scratched disk is set to the boot disk (C:\)
If it help, Illustrator CS6 and InDesign CS6 load normally.
Do you have any suggestions to fix this? Thank you!
    Richard Montouchet

Congratulations on having such a huge amount of memory that it takes 30 seconds to measure it all!    Just kidding - sorry.
You've done all the things a reasonable person would do...  Some other things I might suggest are:
    1.  Check to ensure your display driver is up to date - go to the web site of the maker of your video card, not Microsoft.
    2.  Try disabling the Use Graphics Processor setting in Edit - Preferences - Performance, and restart Photoshop.
    3.  Remove any 3rd party plug-ins (reinstall won't remove plug-ins, so I thought I'd mention it).
    4.  Check to see if you have the same behavior with the 32 bit Photoshop as the 64 bit Photoshop.

  • Photoshop CS6 extended won't import videos, help please?

Before I get to the meat and potatoes (details), I'd like to ask that you don't be an @$$ with your answers, please, if my friend is doing something wrong, don't just say "well, derp, you're doing something wrong", actually tell me what he's doing wrong so I can tell him and he can fix the issue. He'd post but he's having internet issues as of 10 minutes ago.
My friend got Photoshop CS6 extended so he could do a few things with his photos, he also wanted to try out some of the stuff with the video editing, and since it's the extended version, it should (at least in theory) import video, right? Wrong, no matter what format he converts to he gets an error telling him he's using the right kind of document. I have seen the photoshop video editor, my friend has seen the video editor, but we can't get it on his copy of photoshop because he can't get a video to import no matter what format he converts to. Is there a way to fix this or has the promise of video editing in the extended version of photoshop just been a lie? I'm confused, please help.
    FORMATS TRIED:
    .3gp
    .3g2
    .avi
    .asf
    .DV
    .mkv
    .mpg (mpeg1 and mpeg2)
    .mp4
    .mov
    .mts
    .m2ts
    .ts
    webM format
    .wmv
NONE OF THESE FORMATS WORK FOR VIDEO EDITING IN PHOTOSHOP CS6 EXTENDED. He can use it for photo but he really wants to try the video editor since he doesn't like movie maker and he can't afford any other video editing software right now.

To see if there is something deeper see if the video plays in Bridge.

Are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, cleaning caches, font validation, etc.)?

  • Photoshop cs6 extended stopped working

Hello.I was using my photoshop cs6 extended for about two months and it was working good,no problems. Then i stopped using it for about 3 months and today when i decided to use it again-it's stopped working. When i press on Photoshop.exe-nothing happens.Nothing at all,no errors, just nothing and photoshop won't open. All other .exe programs works good.I'm using  Windows xp.
    Can someone help me?

You can try resetting the preferences.  Start PS and immediately hold down the ctrl alt shift keys.  If fast enough you will get a reset window.
Using CS6 extended with XP is a waste as 3D will not work with that OS.
