How can I d/l Photoshop CS6 Extended? It's not in the Download Assistant.

Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CS6 Extended are installed from the same files, available for download here. By default, the trial enables the complete feature set in Photoshop CS6 Extended. If you choose to purchase Photoshop CS6 rather than Photoshop CS6 Extended, you may simply enter your serial number for Photoshop, and the Photoshop Extended features for 3D design and scientific analysis will be turned off and hidden from view

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error.
When starting Photoshop CS6 I get this error message, Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Could not complete your request because of a program error (-- OK --). This happens on the main screen immediately. Once I click OK the program seems to be alright. But some part of it, that I haven't discovered yet, may not function properly.
I am running Windows7 Professional Service Pack 1 64 bit with Intel i7-4770k CPU and 16 GIG Ram.
This problem just started recently, everything has been fine up till now. I must have done something when trying to defragment the Registry or get rid of temp files.
I have uninstalled Photoshop CS6 and reinstalled it with no effect. I have tried to run Photoshop CS6 32 bit in Safe Mode, but it will not run. It hangs up on Reading Memory.
Is there any kind log file that would tell me what is causing this to occur?
Does anyone know what might cause this?

J. J. PattersonDid you reset your Preferences and Photoshop tools. Photoshop Preferences are not removed with an un-install and an Install does not install preferences. Preferences are created for a user id when a user ID start Photoshop and there are no preferences for the user ID.

After purchasing the Photoshop cs6 update for my Mac, the download page says for "Windows". Will this still work? How do I get the right download without purchasing again?

My Photoshop CS6 Extended did not transfer properly from Macbook to iMac. It was treated as a trial and now I am being asked to 'buy' it.
I have run into this before. Click on "license this product" on the Trial countdown screen.
Sign in if asked with your Adobe ID/Password The Cloud is an option for those who do not have a serial number license. It isn't mandatory.
Then look for the "I have a serial number" option.
And enter it from there and activate. Your trial should convert to Photoshop Standard or Extended depending on the serial number.
Of course migrating or restoring from Time Machine does break licensing.
So aside from uninstall, run the Cleaner tool Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
and use Disk Utility to verify your disk and run a "Repair Permissions" before install. -

You may have answered my question. I AM using the 64bit version of Illustrator CS6. I had no idea there were bugs in it that affected paths copied and pasted from Illustrator to Photoshop.
A bit more about what I'm trying to accomplish... I'm trying to follow Deke's tutorial (http://www.deke.com/content/dekes-techniques-018-creating-a-3d-pie-chart) which is already difficult since so much has changed between CS5.5 and 6, but then on top of that, I keep getting errors!
So I created the pie chart exactly as he shows and copied and pasted into Photoshop exactly as he does. Before submitting this post, though, I tried drawing just two very simple triangle shapes, copying them both and pasting them into Photoshop as a shape layer. The shapes weren't overlapping, but they were a part of the same shape layer just like the pie chart tutorial.

Photoshop CS6 Mac version not noticing the updated Camera RAW
I am trying to download the newest camera RAW DNG converter 8.6 plug-in on Photoshop CS 6 on a Mac computer. I have photoshop searching in the correct folder under Photoshop>Preferences>Plug-ins..., and yet when I search for the latest version that photoshop is using in, Photoshop>about Plug-ins> Camera Raw, it only displays the original version, not the updated version. this happened with prior Camera RAW versions as well. how do I get photoshop to see the updated plug-in?
Go to Photoshop's Help Menu > Update
Let the Adobe Application Manager download and install the plugin for you.

Photoshop CS6 extended do not working
My name is Sara Lopez Martin, from Madrid. I have an educational license CS6 Production Suite.
All suite programs work fine except Photoshop which does not work.
Open but not save formats, does not work in 3D.
I uninstalled the entire Suite and I have reinstalled and everything works except photoshop.
My computer is an i7, Nvidia Quadro 4000, 24 gb of RAM. OS Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Can anyone help me?

I'm trying to download the trial version of Photoshop CS6, but adobe just returns me the download page of Photoshop CS6 Extended. Where can I download that? Is that available as a trial?
The only way is to buy a license I have complained to Adobe for I do not want to be a beta tester and do not want to even see extended feature during a trial. I talk for over an hour with their support on the phone before paying for a licence. They told me the bug I wated fixed in CS5 was fixed in CS6 so I sprung for a license only to find out they lied the bug is still in CS6 andAdobe has added additional bugs. Things that work in the past now have bugs. IMO what I paid for is a beta not a good release so many Actions and Scripts fail if your preferences is set to edit in floading windows. The Only way to even use CS6 it to edit with preference set to open in tabs then float windows with tabs option in effect. New features support like Bicubic Automatic was not added to Photoshop Scripting which breaks Script that reference a users interpolaton preference when the preference is the default Bicubic Automatic. Installing the Script listener disables the new allow tool recording option. The new Allow Tool Recording is machine dependant recording a massive amount of data on fast machine and a small amount of data on slow machines. Playing an action that record tools on a fasts machine when played on a slow machine is unuseable. There is at least one new bug in the Action player and one new bug in the Action recorder. The there are other new features like content aware move the feature may work on a document where the move is relatily easy to pull off. Professional as well as well as amatures tha pay the price for Photoshop want tools that are well designed and work not tools that may work on some machines or work on easy problems not hard ones. IMO CS6 as is is beta code and has some design flaws as well.

Wow, what a geeky package that cleaner tool is... It starts out by prompting for English or Japanese, then dumps an entire EULA to the CMD window, which scrolls off the top and can't possibly be read, then just asks ''yes or no''. I assume that question is asking whether you agree to the EULA. After that the prompts are pretty straightforward.
Looks like it did a pretty thorough job, leaving nothing in the Photoshop install areas or a few other places I looked.
Notably the installer still knew my Adobe ID and saved password during the reinstall. Fortunately the reinstall took only a few moments.
In answer to your question: It seems to have worked just fine. I still have the same amount of time left in the trial as before the uninstall.
