Photoshop CS6 Extended starts instead of Photoshop CS6

I have a licenced copy of Photoshop CS6 in my Windows 7 computer. Today, when I start CS6, CS6 Extended starts instead, in trial mode. Control Panel Install/deinstall shows I have CS6 installed. I don't want to deinstall because I can't get into CS6 to deactivate it. Maybe I have to wipe the PC and return to a recent full backup, but is this my only alternative?

IPhone 5s showing extended network instead of Verizon.

Every since I did the update on my iPhone 5s my phone has been showing extended network instead of Verizon. After reading the post, I find I'm not the only one with this problem. After almost 3 weeks with Verizon support, Apple support, trouble tickets, resetting, restoring, reinstalling, something called reprovision, a new phone and 2 new sim cards, I finally got an answer to the problem. Since I have Verizon service with an Alltel plan the update will not work. Verizon and Apple are aware of the problem but the do not like to admit it. The only solution I was offered was to change my plan to a Verizon one which would be a lot more money for a lot less service, or they would have the local store loan me a different type of smart phone ( Droid or whatever they had available) for me to use till Apple does another update with a fix. I'm not really happy with any of the options Verizon is giving me. If they can not provide me with acceptable service I think they should be the ones making the concessions, not the customers who are not getting what we are paying for. Verizon needs to come up with an acceptable plan to replace the Alltel plans.

Alltel had a smartpack plan which included unlimited data. So I imagine he's on that. Vzw of course is in it BIGTIME for the $ hence they'll need to phase out those plans by any means. Making things difficult with extended areas etc. They already made alltel phones unusable years ago

Upgraded to IOS 8.1, and now getting only "extended" cellular instead of LTE

after I upgraded to IOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5s, I now am only getting "extended" coverage instead of LTE. I have restarted, and still it will not pick up the LTE. No problem before upgrade, 2 -3 bars. What happened?? How do I fix it?? thanks in advance for any help.

1) IMPORTANT- If you are using a Vzw Network Extender in your home or office, since update of iOS 8.1 you will always see extended mode on your phone, no matter what, for now. (4g HD calling not yet available through Vpn tunnel)
2) 8.1 apple update defaulted all the iPhone cellular mode LTE setting to data only. to fix, go to settings> Cellular > Enable LTE > Select Voice & Data. a check mark should appear within 30 seconds and Verizon will reappear on iPhone. If the check mark appears you are now back on Vzw cell network and have High Def calling. If not - complete a "hard reset on the iPhone" Do this by holding down your power button and home button until you see the apple logo on the screen, This actually disconnects the battery on the phone and forces the sim card to reach out to the towers and reinitialize settings.
If this does not work, toggle on and off Airplane Mode
If that does not work; go to settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings
Now if after all that your check mark does not appear or you get a pop box on the phone that says "call Vzw to enable LTE calls" then here is the solution:
Call Vzw, have them add the following 3 codes on your account:
A) Advanced Calling 1.0 - Vzw Feature Code 81143
B) High Def Voice - Vzw Feature Code 81158
C) High Def Access - Vzw Feature Code 81186
If you give the Vzw rep the three feature codes it will make your life easier because this is a very new issue!
Now you can hard reset and select LTE Voice and Data and get back on the Vzw Network

Photoshop does not start, instead, only annoys with CS6 Extended Test Version

Hello all,
since today, after a correct start, when starting Photoshop CS6 (Windows), only a dialog stating "Login for CS6 Extended Test Version" (or similar, as the text is in German). Afterwards, Photoshop simply exits. How do I get rid of this and make PS start as usual, as I do not want to test the extended version.

Thank you for this information. I do not use Creative Cloud and just purchased Photoshop CS6 for my laptop. When I install Application Manager as suggested in the link, I get a Creative Cloud icon that -- when clicked -- asks me to enter my Adobe ID. I deliberately do not want to use Creative Cloud, just continue using CS6 on my laptop.
As the startup screen insists on entering my Adobe ID, I did. And now Photoshop starts as Extended in test mode and does not allow me to (Help ->) Deactivate.
How do I get rid of this Extended test license (I do not need the "Extended" features) and return to my original one computer CS6 license without having to use Creative Cloud.

Photoshop Cs4 Extended Starting/Loading Error

Hello Everyone,
Below is a screenshot of the error I'm having.
I'm on Windows7 and trying to run Photoshop PS4 Extended. Everything was running fine the other day. But today it suddenly started doing this when I started it up. It actually looks the same but the top par switches from what you see to the normal title bar but with the words "Not Responding" at the end. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but no luck. Same deal when soing a system restore.
All drivers are updated as is Photoshop (11.0.1). Nothing has been installed and my Norton 360 is up to date and found no errors. This error only happens with Shotoshop. Not Flash nor Dreamweaver. I also have plenty of Ram and Hard Drive space avalible (30+ gigs). Please Help!

It's not the Video Card. It's fully updated, no dust, or wire issues.
It's not the drivers either. At least not from what I can tell. The Drivers have been updated fully.
Is there a way I can remove all of the Photoshop Drivers (without hurting other adobe programs) and start from scratch. Basically remove Photoshop fully from the hard drive. No other program on my computer does this. Not one. It must be a Photoshop issue.
Here's the weird thing. I've just created a portable version of the program and it works fine. It's the installed version that's acting up.
But nothing else works.
Before anyone ask, no I will not give you the portable version nor will I teach you how to make your programs portable. The portable version has my serial/activation info in it and I'm not able to give that out. Buy the program like we did. And making programs portable and/or sharing the knowledge is too risky. Tends to illegal downloads and crap. You wouldn't want it anyway. Only default programs/pugins work with it. So doing this actually limits the artist a lot.

Freeze from Song Start instead of Meas 0?

I recorded a concert into Logic, 38 channels, 24 bit, 44.1k. I'm breaking the individual songs out that I want to fix & mix. I'm editing out the regions of each song, then turning those regions into optimized audio files to make it more manageable. We'll open the mixes in another song file, bridge them with applause, and have a nice tidy concert mix.
I want to freeze tracks as I fix them, for less CPU overhead. I want to keep the individual songs with the optimized audio files in their original position in the timeline, so I can reopen the original files and drop them in at their original record position if I mess up the optimized audio file. I've reset the start and end markers with a couple of extra measures (@ 30bpm) before and after the audio.
My problem is that when I freeze a file, it freezes from measure 0, instead of the new song start position. Consequently, it takes a long time to freeze files, and they are huge. As an example, the first song actually started at measure 250 (it was a long pre-show), and even though the lead vocal file is only 50 MB, the freeze file for it is over 400 MB and takes a very long time to create.
How do I get "freeze" to start freezing from measure 249, instead of measure 0?
If that's not an option, is there one that doesn't require relocating my regions to measure 2?

I've done a very poor job of describing what I've done. I'll try to clarify.
I have created a new .lso of each song, drawn from the original .lso of the concert. I've even gone to the effort of copying just the portions of the audio files that are in that song (optimizing), so I have a much smaller set of the appropriate audio tracks/files that contain just the audio from that song in each .lso.
I want the audio files of each .lso to remain at their original record position, to facilitate replacing them with originals if they get messed up in editing.
The song "start" has been moved to the beginning of the the files in the timeline for each .lso. The song end has been moved to the end of each, making each new .lso about 4 minutes long, although the start marker for each is at measure 250+
The problem is that "freeze" starts at measure 0, regardless of where the song start marker is placed. True, it stops where the "song end" marker is, but the freeze files are huge in comparison to the original file.
Any way to get freeze to start at the song start marker on the .lso's, instead of at measure 0?

this morning i updated aurora to version 9.0a2, firefox is on its latest version, too. before i updated aurora i could open both aurora and firefox and they ran alongside. now after i update aurora, i click to open firefox but instead aurora opens. i checked the default browser settings and aurora is always set as not default but that doesn't change anything. can someone help? i'm running both aurora and firefox on win 7 enterprise x64 which is running as a vm on virtualbox.

The ''-no-remote'' argument is used when opening the second instance of firefox or aurora. It is normal when using multiple copies to use multiple profiles so that each version has a unique profile available, otherwise you will inevitable get problems. Normally shortcuts will be used that start each version with an appropriate profile.

Installed Acrobat but Reader starts instead

I downloaded the evaluation version of Acrobat for Windows, and ran it successfully once to edit a couple of PDF files.
Now I'm trying to run it again to edit the files further. I'm selecting "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" from my Start menu, but Reader 8 begins instead.
I'm am able to select Distiller, which starts Distiller - but I don't think this is what I want, is it? I'm a beginner to Acrobat, so it's possible I don't know what to expect.
Any suggestions?

Aandi - The result of #2 is apparently that if a novice user (me) has been running Reader, exits Reader, and then tries to run Acrobat, they will be unable to run Acrobat.
The way out of this dilemma will have to be to figure out the secret by some method such as checking with an online support forum such as this one, and then use this strange method (abort Reader from the Task Manager) in order to start Acrobat. But there's no way to know that or to guess that Reader is running, it because Reader is hiding, and Acrobat doesn't tell you that. The standard way to close a program is to exit it, or occasionally an explicit close; most programs don't hide invisibly in the background to cause trouble.
Wouldn't it make more sense for Acrobat to give a message "Acrobat can't start while Reader is running; would you like to terminate reader and start Acrobat"? Or even better - simply take the action the user has attempted, i.e., run Acrobat? Why have this strange, inexplicable actiont that requires secret knowledge and strange actions, just to run a program? Or at least there ought to be some prominent warning on installation indicating that Reader and Acrobat are incompatible.

Firefox 3 is starting instead of 4

Hi. I downloaded last nightly version of Firefox 4 for 64 bit Linux (b13), extracted it and when I'm trying to run 'firefox' binary using ./firefox command it starts the normal 3.6 browser instead of the new one. What am I doing wrong?

This can happen if the Firefox 3.6 version is already running. In that case you only open a new window in that already running Firefox version. You can check that in the System Monitor.

Flash player won't allow me to fast forward - resets to start instead

Using latest version of Firefox for Windows 7, lastest update for Adobe Flash player etc. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it still doesn't work properly.
Every time I go to skip forward in the movie/video playing with Flash, it just starts from the beginning again.
I'm not entirely sure if it's Firefox or maybe something to do with Windows, but I've re-installed Flash and it didn't change anything.
Please help! It's driving me mad!

As mende1 stated, the two are different and must be both.
If you open Disk Utility and select the hard drive (the type, size, and serial number), not the volume (Macintosh HD), it will tell you at the bottom of the screen what the Partition Table is. It should be GUID. If not, then you will need to back it up, then repartition the drive. Also, copy the Mountain Lion installer onto another drive so you don't have to download again. It is in the Applications folder.
There are a few methods to get back where you are, including wipe, install old OS, restore from TM, install ML.
You might search the web for a tutorial on creating a boot/install disk using the Mountain Lion installer.
Another easy way is to use something like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to clone your current OS onto another drive. Then, boot using the external you cloned. Use Disk Utility to re-partition the internal drive as noted below, then Clone your current OS back to the internal. Then, use the installer you tucked away to reinstall.
If running Snow Leopard, you need to boot using your install disk, then open Disk Utility.
If running Lion, you need to boot into the Recovery HD by holding down cmd-r on restart.
From there, open Disk Utility, select the hard drive, then the Partition tab.
Select 1 partition from the partition layout dropdown (or however you'd like, just don't use current).
Set the Name of the disk. Macintosh HD is the norm, but you can name it anything you want.
Set the Format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Click the Options Button.
Set the Partition Table to GUID Partition Table.
Back on the partition tab, click Apply.

Can I ditch my landline internet service and use a network extender & hotspot instead?

I live in a rural area with lousy landline internet access but a pretty good cell signal. I've heard that a person can use the combination of internet extender & jetpack for internet access. Is that correct, or do I need to have DSL in order to use the network extender?
And is it necessary to spend $250 for a network extender? It looks like they ordinarily run around $50. Why is the Verizon one so steep?

The network extender requires a landline internet connection to function correctly.

I have set (in Waterfox) Waterfox as my default web browser but if I click a link on an e-mail or even on a site while using Waterfox my Firefox starts to load the link as tho it is the default. :(

You may need to check the related registry keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT to verify that they link to Waterfox.
Also make sure that Firefox isn't running in case the Waterfox startup code detects an open Firefox instance and uses that.
