Photoshop CS6 Help Required - Whites are slightly cream

This is the first time I have posted a question on this forum. If I am in the wrong place please accept my apoligies. Thanks.
I have a problem which I have spent days and days trying to solve but without success, I sincerely hope someone can help me.
I am using Photoshop CS6 (Version 13.0.6 x64) on a 27”iMac running OS X Mavericks (Version 10.9.1). My printer is an Epson 3800 (Driver Version 9.17). I am using Epson inks on Epson paper and my screen is correctly calibrated.
I have had the printer for a number of years and its prints are normally excellent. However the following problem has recently occurred and I am not sure what has caused it; but when I print the whites are not pure and are slightly cream.
If I print letting ‘Photoshop Manages Colours’ (which I have always done) and using an original Epson profile for Semigloss paper I get this problem. To be precise when I print a test Grey Scale my 5% and 0% (white end of spectrum) are both the same cream colour and the 100% and 95% (black end of spectrum are also the same shade of black). The profile numbers on the original image on screen reads for the white end 242 and 255 (5% and 0%) and for the black end 0 and 12 (100% and 95%). I have concluded that there is no problem with the image or my screen, as I have mentioned it is correctly calibrated and you can see the difference in all the tones from 100% to 0%.
When I print letting ‘Printer Manages Colours’ though I do not get this problem at all, although obviously the colour balance is not excellent compared to using the proper paper profiles. I have therefore concluded that there is no problem with my printer. It must then be either a profile issue or a software issue.
However I get exactly the same problem if I print on Epson Glossy paper using the appropriate original Epson profile and ‘Photoshop Manages Colours’. I have therefore concluded that it is not a profile issue and it must be a Photoshop issue, unless all the Epson profiles are corrupted which I think is most unlikely.
I appreciate that my logic may be completely wrong and that is why I am posting my plea for help.
Somewhere deep in Photoshop there must be a way to solve this problem. Can you offer any advice or assistance?

Either you aren't selecting the correct profile for the paper and printer, or something is going wrong in the printer driver and it applies color corrections when it should not.
Double check your choice of color profile - if that isn't it, then contact Epson and see if they have updates to fix their driver.

Unfortunately, your help is only online. I say unfortunately, because they can drop it at any time. I have CS5, and when I click Help, it goes to help for CS6, which has a lot of changes in some apps. At least your version is still online.
Ahhh... the good old days with actual paper manuals. They couldn't take those away from you.

Photoshop CS6 HELP!

Photoshop CS6 "Could not complete your request because the file was not found."
Okay so recently I googled to find the update for the camera raw b/c my camera raw files were not opening in anything. Downloaded it, ran it, and now I cannot open any jpgs. I even created a document, saved as a jpg, tried to open it back up, would not open.
The camera raw preferences (or anything to do with the camera raw recently installed) are the only other thing that gives that error "Could not complete your request because the file was not found."
Since this was not an issue until after the downloaded update I was wondering if you knew how to "undo" that camera raw thing without uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop.

Yes, I could open all .jpg in other programs. The file is clearly there
Yes, I tried to Open, Open With, drag and drop to no avail

Yes, it opens any other Photoshop compatible file types but jpg/CR2

If you right click on jpg in BRidge and choose "open in camera raw" does it work"?
Do you have this option set up in Bridge in edit/Camera Raw preferences?
In PS click on Help/about plugin/camera raw. What does it say?

Can't upgrade to camera raw 7.4 via photoshop CS6 help

Just upgraded to LR 4.4 and when trying to edit a photo in PS CS6 got a message that I need to upgrade to ACR 7.4. I went to PS CS6 help>check for updates and got message that my programs are up to date. Then I went to help>about plugins > camera raw and it still shows ACR 7.3. How do I update to ACR 7.4? Your website says this must be done via PS CS6. >help>check for updates.

Photoshop Cs6 Help glitch.

Okay was just adding a layer effect and out of nowwhere it says "Photoshop online help could not be displayed because you are not connected to the internet". So I went to connect and hoped the pop up would go away but it is still there. Need help ASAP!!!

However, this just serves to cement the reputation of the Adobe documentation team as the most useless entity since the guardian angel of the Kennedy family. They're worse than the Adobe installer team, and that's already a disgraceful certificate of poverty that Adobe issues itself.
Though billed in Russian as a "20 MB pdf document", what actually downloads is an absurd 80.2 KB, one-skimpy-page document containing, in Russian, a link to the 20 MB English language version of the reference PDF which we have panned and trounced here as a hopelessly messed up mishmash of references to various versions of Ps and links to tutorial sites. Note where it says (только на английском языке) = (Only in English).
Pitiful, just pitiful.

I downloaded every update but to check I went to about photoshop and found that it is version 12.0 and it is a middle eastern copy

Photoshop CS6, Adjustment Layers: where are the graphs?

I am new to CS6, though I used to use CS on my old computer. If I open an image and select Image/Adjustments/Curves (or Layers), I get the large graph on a white background that I am familiar with from CS. But if I select Layers/New Adjustment Layer/Curves (or Layers) and I have Properties showing, I only see a very small version, not very practical to use, of the graph on a black background. I have been unable in this situation (i.e. with an adjustment layer) to find a way of making the large graph appear. I should be very grateful for advice.
In case it is relevant, my new computer is a Mac mini (Intel) with OS 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion).

Hi,
You can resize the Properties panel so it's bigger by grabbing on one of the bottom corners and also dock the properties panel ouside the main panels.
There is also the Curves Display Options for other settings pertaining to way the graph shows and double clicking on the curves layer thumbnail should open the properties panel if it's closed.
You can also set the photoshop interface color in Photoshop>Perferences>Interface.

Can't reopen Photoshop CS6 Help!

Hi, I can't reopen Photoshop. I was working on a photo this weekend, and I got a warning that my startup disk was almost full. I went into lightroom and deleted a ton of photos, and then emptied the garbage. I went back to processing my photo on CS6, and photoshop crashed. I tried to reopen, and I continually get this warning below: When I hit reopen it crashes again and again. Can any one help?

Try resetting the PS CS6 preferences and check if it's an issue with corrupt preferences : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776
Try to open PS CS6 in Plugin Disabled mode and check the same. For that Press Shift+PS CS6 icon and hit Yes.
Select a different scratch disk location. For that press, Cmd+Alt+PS CS6
Check if that helps.

Photoshop CS6 help incomplete

Why is it that Adobe releases a product with an incomplete help file? For instance, when you look in the workspace section, you find illustrations and explanations for the CS5 interface. This makes teaching very difficult and students get confused because they can't use the online help to study what they have learned in class. Does anybody know when we can expect a fully updated help for CS6?

Probably never. Even a top Adobe programming engineer has, in a restrained manner, expressed his frustration with not being able to learn what the documentation team is thinking--if you can call that "thinking". :-/

Photoshop CS6 extended requirements

You'll need a new graphics card for 3D. Yours is only 256 MB, and the requirements are 512 MB (1 GB recommended).

Photoshop CS6 Mac: Placed images are not moveable

Anyone else have this bug? Placed images cannot be moved or transformed, at least initially. I am finding that after a period of time passes (half minute or more), the image is sometimes 'released' and is then transformable. But it can take a couple of minutes. Very bizarre.

What OS version and what are your Performance Preferences?

Try a reinstall to fix files that may have been damaged.
