Photoshop CS6 installation failing with Creative Cloud Subscription

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and I am having trouble installing Photoshop CS6 with the Adobe Application Manager. The application will download but when installing it gives me an Installation Failed error with the message "The download appears corrupted. Press Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again (-60)"
I am using a Macbook Pro 17" i7 8GB with Mac OSX 10.7.3.
When I look at the DLM_Native.log file using the Console I get a whole bunch of errors like the following.
[ERROR] | 7B2C1C2F-AC72-4B17-9D58-C9BC80BC9A07 |  |  |  |  |  | Checksum validation failed for segment 510
[WARN] | 7B2C1C2F-AC72-4B17-9D58-C9BC80BC9A07 |  |  |  |  |  | Some Error has come during download operation with Error type - -60, and Error Code - 417
I have about 60GB of free hard drive space, so I know I am not running out of space for installation.
I do not see an alternative way of downloading other than the Adobe Application Manager. If I go to my orders page on Adobe.com and click download for Photoshop CS6 it just opens the Application Manager and begins downloading from there.
I have downloaded and installed Illustrator and Flash Professional using the Application Manager without issue.

Thanks for the quick response Jeff. I wonder if there's something else going on. All the other apps (Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver et al) downloaded and installed to the same location (Applications folder) no problem using the application manager. When I tried to use the download manager to download Photoshop separately, the download destination was set to the desktop, while logged in with administrator privileges. The .dmg downloaded without any apparent problems but generated a checksum error warning when I tried to expand it. I tried several times, had antivirus and Little Snitch turned off, tried again after restarting etc. to no avail.
Interestingly, my colleague experienced the exact same problems on his (Mac) system, which is running same OS.
I got around all this by downloading Photoshop from the CS6 direct download page using the link you provided, for which many thanks.

What webtemplates comes with creative cloud subscription?

Dreamweaver CS6 comes with several starter pages or pre-built CSS Layouts for making 1 to 3 column fixed-width (px based)  or liquid (% based) web pages.  See screenshots below.
In addition to the starter pages above, DW CS6 also has support for jQuery Mobile and another new feature called Fluid Grid Layouts for making responsive web pages that are mobile & tablet friendly.

  • Volume licensing conflicts with creative cloud subscriptions on same adobeID

I have volume licensing for adobe acrobat pro.  However, I also have one cancelled Creative Cloud version of Acrobat Pro that was cancelled due to inconvenient billing practices for CC.  When I install a new version of Acrobat Pro on a Mac, using the volume license serial number, it installs successfully for a month.  Then, out of nowhere, it fails to launch citing an expired creative cloud subscription.  I have paid close $5000 for these volume licenses.  They should never expire.  This only seems to happen on the Macs, the windows versions don't seem to have this issue.  So, how can I stop my volume licesened Acrobat Pros from randomly expiring?

    Hi foobars,
    Please try steps mentioned below:
    Quit Acrobat.
    Delete the following folders:
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
    Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD
Then launch Acrobat and try to activate with the serial number and check.

  • Why not include LiveCycle Designer with Creative Cloud subscription?

Creative Cloud offers quite a few premier Adobe products - which is great !! So how about Adobe offering LiveCycle Designer with Creative Cloud? It would be awesome ...

I wish I had enough time to tell you the hell I went through to get a my copy of LC3.
Long story short: Company purchased CC with CS6 and Acrobat 9 that comes with LC2. Saw a new version of Acrobat X released and LC3. Upgraded to Acrobat X and figured LC3 would come along since we had ALL Adobe applications because of our CC. Installed, noticed my LC2 had been uninstalled due to Acrobat X upgrade... TOOK MANY MANY MANY Custome support call to to find out NO ONE knew anything about LC2 and LC3 being on CC..., ended up with upgrade to LC3 after filing form to receive physical copy. Still angry at the whole thing.
Not only this, but LC4 is now out and it is not a free upgrade. But this is fine because nothing much changed from LC3.
So note. LC2 Came with first Creative Cloud due to Acrobat 9, then removed when Acrobat X released. LC2 deleted, no LC3 upgrade.
Message was edited by: TDRonline: Forgot to mention the downtime we had because we had to wait for our physical copy that took 2 weeks to arrive.

  • Download Issue with Creative Cloud Subscription for After Effects

I am having an issue downloading After Effects using the Adobe Application Manager from Creative Cloud subscription. When I click download from the applications, AAM pops up but I do not see AE as part of the files or as an active download.
    Suggestions?

After Effects and Premiere Pro require 64 bit hardware and operating system.
Are you running a 64 bit operating system? If not, you will not see either applications available for download.

  • Photoshop CS6 installer fails to initialize

After downloading the Mac version of Photoshop CS6 using Download Assistant, I attempted to install it as a trial. When I launch the Photoshop CS6 install app, it comes back with "We've encountered the following issues -- installer failed to initialize." It suggested Adobe Support Advisor be downloaded to detect the problem. I downloaded and ran that. It comes back with "Inspection could not identify any issues. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance." So here I am...

At first download the Adobe applciation manager manually from the locations:
    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438
    Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4773&fileID=4437
Later If you are still facing issue. Rename Media_db, pdb and OOBE folder.
The path for the above files will be:
    1: OOBE
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>OOBE and rename the OOBE folder to like (OOBEold).
    Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>OOBE .
Note: The library will be hidden in Mac OS X version 10.7 and later you can access the hidden library ie the root library by In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
In the Go To Folder dialog, type ~/Library and click Go to access the hidden library.
    2:Location of Media_db, pdb files.
    Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>Caps
    Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>Caps.
After renaming OOBE, Media_db, pdb files run the Application manager which was downloaded and if the issue still persists then:
Create a new Administartor account and the restart the computer and log in back to the created new admin account , log in to CCm account and then try it will work.

  • How do I get the trial version for Photoshop CS6 extended from the Creative Cloud Trial

    Hello ...
Plz I wanted to downlad the trial version of Photoshop CS6 Extended and I followed this link
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop&loc=en_us
Then I chose this option : Option 2: Join Creative Cloud and download now (Recommended - it's free)
Then the adobe application manager has been installed and the photoshop CS6 started to be installed automaticaaly and after it done , I found it the standard version not the Extended ... So how and where can I get the Extended version for both 32 bit and 64 bit?
Your prompt reply is highly appreciated
    Thank you ....

So if you download the trial from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop you get Photoshop CS6 Extended.  When you then remove the trial and reinstall from the Adobe Application Manager with your trial Creative Cloud you only see the Standard version?
If this is so you can try reviewing your installation logs by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.  Although your 30 day trial has already begun.  I would recommend for now you just remove the installation and install from the trial page so that you can try the extended features.

  • Photoshop CS6 Installer failed to initialise?

I have just bought a student copy of Photoshop CS6 Extended, and whenever I try to install it I get the message - ' Installer failed to initialise'.
I am running OSX Mountain Lion, on a 2012 Macbook Air. I have tried installing on a new user, as well as using the Adobe Support Advisor (No Problems detected) - I have also tried using the 'Creative Suite Cleaner Tool' to remove any old things. It still doesn't work. I don't have any other Adobe Programs currently installed.
I couldn't find any helpful advice in the other forum posts so I made my own.

I have the same issue.  Also running mountain lion.
    this is the PDApp.log
i have tried changing permissions as seen from another post but nothing seems to be working.

  • I Want to Buy Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Mac - NOT Creative Cloud

I just bought a new iMac and I would like to buy Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.  I am NOT interested in the monthly subscription for Creative Cloud, so please don't even try and sell that to me.  I was told by the place I bought my new iMac that Adobe would still sell me Photoshop CS6 if I contacted them.  Since I was unable to find a phone number to call, I thought I would try my luck on this forum.  Again, I was told that Adobe would send me a link or something like that where I can buy and download Photoshop CS6.  Since my new iMac does NOT have a CD/DVD-ROM drive, I would only be able to download the software.  I understand that the monthly subscription for Creative Cloud is the newest way of using Photoshop, but I am not interested in that at all.  I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance with this matter.  Thank you for your time and I anxiously await a response.
    Respectfully,
    Chris

From here you should be able to buy photoshop cs6:

  • Photoshop CS6 Installation Failed

About a year ago I purchased an Education version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended, installed it and it worked fine. However about 6 months ago my laptop crashed and I, of course lost everything. I tried re-installing CS6 and received the following error message:
Installation Failed. Adobe Genuine Software Verification failure. The Product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit. Please report piracy or contact customer support for assistance.
I have not encountered this error message before and don't understand why I am receiving it now. As I said it worked fine before with no problems installing at all. I paid for the copy, I have the product code and verification numbers which the installation accepts. I am rather frustrated at this point as I've tried many times to install. Is there something I am supposed to do for it to re-install or is there a problem with the software itself and if so how can I fix it?

    HI  Lopin\'Girl25 ,
    Welcome to Adobe community .
I would request you to kindly check the Date & Time of your system and see if it is the correct one or not . If it is correct , please try and download the software from www.prodesigntools.com and see if that works fine for you .
Please do let us know if the above mentioned steps helped you or not .
    Cheers,

  • Problem with Creative Cloud subscription

This is regarding case number 0215022175.
I signed up for a full Creative Cloud membership on Saturday. However, when I open Photoshop today, I see this message - We are having trouble verifying your membership. Can you please address this? In my Adobe account, I still see CC free membership (in addition to Creative Cloud membership (one-year)). I think CC free membership needs to be removed.
Request you to look into this ASAP.

Sorry for late response, the CC has been activated  & you should be able to work with the CC. No further actions will be taken regarding this, please feel free to contact in case of any future assistance.

  • Re: Photoshop CS6 installer fails to initialize

I am having a similar issue and it's driving me bananas. I have Photoshop CS6 on a disc (old school, I know) and a serial number, but when I try to install in on my brand new MacBook Pro, nothing happens!!
This is the third time I try and I always get to the exact same spot. I'll show you with a picture.
This is where I get stuck. I click on Install and nothing happens. Can anybody help me?

    Hi nath68855047,
Looking at the screenshot it seems you are installing Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 not Adobe Photoshop CS6. In case you want to install Adobe Photoshop CS6, download it from the link below.
