1366 x 768 resolution ??

I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 in the past and I have been using it normally, however I just bought a new computer and I would like to install it on this new machine but I cannot find the installer anywhere. I've searched and found no reference to this in you FAQ
Are there specific files I should remover? What should I do?

Photoshop CS6 installer will not initialize - no log files generated

Hi,
I am trying to reinstall Photoshop CS6 on a new computer I purchased. When I run the installer, the progress bar gets to the end and sits there for several minutes. Then the Adobe Installer windows just closes and no other installation windows open up. I have checked the /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers directory for a log file to see what is happening. But no log file is being generated.
Prior to installation, I ran the Adobe uninstaller as well as ZapIt to remove any old or corrupted CS 6 files.
I am running a 2014 macbook pro, Maverick OS 10.9.5. The machine has plenty of disk space and ram.
I am at my wit's end. Can anybody give me any guidance?

Photoshop CS6 Installer Won't Launch on Mac OS 10.8.2

I've downloaded the Photoshop CS6 disk image but when I open it and then double-click on the installer to launch that, there is no response.
I've tried the suggestions in this help document but have had problems with that as well:

The first suggestion in that help doc is no problem -- restarting and running permissions and disk repair. But that doesn't solve my issue.
Trying the second suggestion, I run into a response different from what is described in the help document.
After I open Terminal and enter "sh " I then get a prompt which reads "sh-3.2$ " (Parenthesis marks here are to indicate what I'm typing or the computer's response; I'm not typing parenthesis marks themselves.)
If I drag Clean Entries.sh onto the terminal window, then the entry is NOT as described in the help document with the path DIRECTLY after "sh ". On my computer it reads: "sh-3.2$ /Users/PFD/Desktop/plist/Clean\ Entries.sh " and if I hit return I get this response in the terminal window:

I have Photoshop CS4 already installed and running fine. I moved to a new computer (Macbook Air, now running OS 10.8.2) a month ago via a Time Machine backup; I found at that time that caused problems for re-registering PS CS4. I had to do an uninstall and a clean re-install to get it to allow me to register properly.
I bought an upgrade to PS CS6 a month ago and haven't had time to try installing it until now.
Now I'm trying to install but there is no response from the installer, as noted above.
Any help appreciated.

PFDuke it looks like you maybe guessing that you have Exit Code 15 based off the fact that the installer did not launch. I would recommend reviewing your installation logs to determine the exact error. Photoshop CS6 Installer failed to initialise?

I have just bought a student copy of Photoshop CS6 Extended, and whenever I try to install it I get the message - ' Installer failed to initialise'.
I am running OSX Mountain Lion, on a 2012 Macbook Air. I have tried installing on a new user, as well as using the Adobe Support Advisor (No Problems detected) - I have also tried using the 'Creative Suite Cleaner Tool' to remove any old things. It still doesn't work. I don't have any other Adobe Programs currently installed.
I couldn't find any helpful advice in the other forum posts so I made my own.

I have the same issue. Also running mountain lion.

Photoshop CS6 installation failing with Creative Cloud Subscription

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and I am having trouble installing Photoshop CS6 with the Adobe Application Manager. The application will download but when installing it gives me an Installation Failed error with the message "The download appears corrupted. Press Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again (-60)"
I am using a Macbook Pro 17" i7 8GB with Mac OSX 10.7.3.
When I look at the DLM_Native.log file using the Console I get a whole bunch of errors like the following.

I have about 60GB of free hard drive space, so I know I am not running out of space for installation.
I do not see an alternative way of downloading other than the Adobe Application Manager. If I go to my orders page on Adobe.com and click download for Photoshop CS6 it just opens the Application Manager and begins downloading from there.
I have downloaded and installed Illustrator and Flash Professional using the Application Manager without issue.

Thanks for the quick response Jeff. I wonder if there's something else going on. All the other apps (Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver et al) downloaded and installed to the same location (Applications folder) no problem using the application manager. When I tried to use the download manager to download Photoshop separately, the download destination was set to the desktop, while logged in with administrator privileges. The .dmg downloaded without any apparent problems but generated a checksum error warning when I tried to expand it. I tried several times, had antivirus and Little Snitch turned off, tried again after restarting etc. to no avail.
Interestingly, my colleague experienced the exact same problems on his (Mac) system, which is running same OS.
I got around all this by downloading Photoshop from the CS6 direct download page using the link you provided, for which many thanks.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 Installation Failed?

I have recently been trying to download Photshop CS6 but the Installation Fails and a Window pops up telling me that:

Try this solution and check if it resolves th issue.
I you are on Windows Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe on a 32 bit machine. C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe on a 64 bit machine.
Find a folder named caps and rename it to caps.old.
I you are on Windows Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/
Find a folder named caps and rename it to caps.old.
Once you rename the caps folder try installing the software.
Hope it works.

Photoshop CS6 Installation problems - Macbook

I've been trying to install a trial version of photoshop on my macbook, it's an early 2009 model.
Each time I try to install photoshop cs6 I get an error message, I have photoshop cs5 on this laptop, but I need cs6 for college, can anybody help? The error message I keep getting is ;

Photoshop CS6 Installation problems!!!!

I am trying to install Photoshop CS6, but the Adobe Installer won't work. Keeps coming up with "Installer failed to initialise".
I am using Mac OS 10.7.3.
I've uninstalled all previous versions of Photoshop......used the cleaner.....etc, etc....
But still nothing!!!
Any ideas????

Photoshop CS6 installer fails to initialize

After downloading the Mac version of Photoshop CS6 using Download Assistant, I attempted to install it as a trial. When I launch the Photoshop CS6 install app, it comes back with "We've encountered the following issues -- installer failed to initialize." It suggested Adobe Support Advisor be downloaded to detect the problem. I downloaded and ran that. It comes back with "Inspection could not identify any issues. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance." So here I am...

At first download the Adobe applciation manager manually from the locations:
Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438
Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4773&fileID=4437
Later If you are still facing issue. Rename Media_db, pdb and OOBE folder.
The path for the above files will be:
1: OOBE
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>OOBE and rename the OOBE folder to like (OOBEold).
Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>OOBE .
Note: The library will be hidden in Mac OS X version 10.7 and later you can access the hidden library ie the root library by In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder.
In the Go To Folder dialog, type ~/Library and click Go to access the hidden library.
2:Location of Media_db, pdb files.
Windows: C>Program files or Program files(x86)>Common files>Adobe>Caps
Mac OS X : Macintosh HD>Library>Applciation support>Adobe>Caps.
After renaming OOBE, Media_db, pdb files run the Application manager which was downloaded and if the issue still persists then:
Create a new Administartor account and the restart the computer and log in back to the created new admin account , log in to CCm account and then try it will work.

Why can't photoshop CS6 installer initialize on my Mac?

Hi everybody,
Just today, I was trying to download Photoshop CS6 trial from Adobe's website.
I downloaded the .dmg file, and mounted it.
In the window that popped up, it contained a blue folder.
I clicked it, and a window containing several files and a red installer popped up.
I clicked the red installer, and an installer launched.
Then, about half way through the initializing, a warning window popped up, saying that "the installer could not initialize".
What's wrong with photoshop?
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.
My Mac runs OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion.

Photoshop CS6 Installation

I ran into a snafu when installing Photoshop CS6 - Photoshop wouldn't install saying that the CS6 beta had to be removed. No further instructions in the installer, and the installer didn't undertake this particular (seemingly trivial) chore. I went to the Applications folder on my Mac, and deleted it. Oops - Photoshop still won't install. I then went to the Adobe website and found a FAQ that says one has to use the uninstaller in the Photoshop CS6 beta folder, and that things will be messed up with the install process if one doesn't follow this prescription.
So - now that I have messed this up, how should I proceed? I am sure that many others will make this same mistake - which could easily have been prevented with a note in the installer that tells the customer the proper procedure at a minimum, or a script in the installer that took care of the chore in the background - infinitely preferable, and one would think rather easy to implement.

Thanks, Mylenium - I am new to the Adobe forums, learning how to use them, and didn't find your post until just now. I have CS4, CS5, and now all but one comp[onent of CS6 in addition to Acrobat versions 9 and X, and all versions of Lightroom - will deletion of the caps.db file affect all of these, or just CS6 components? I have three files in the caps folder located as you describe above - caps.db, which was installed at the time I installed CS4, media_db.db, and pdb.db... should I uninstall only the caps.db? From the dates it would seem that deleting caps.db will affect all of CS4, CS5, and CS6, so my question really concerns whether Lightroom will be bound up in this as well.
