Photoshop CS6 Installtion Update Error

I am trying to update Photoshop CS6 13.0.1.3 (not Creative Cloud) and I keep getting Installation Error Message: U44M1P7. What's going on and what do I need to do?

Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7"
In fact you might simply consider uninstalling all Adobe software and running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. The problem is that one of those otehr programs has left an outdated/ invalid reference to a shared resource, possibly an external drive or USB stick you had plugged into the system at the time and that no longer exists now...

You have done nothing wrong, the update process is simply pretty unreliable. You should run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again. Also try to download the update manually from the Download section here on the site.

  • When I try to open Photoshop CS6 I get "Error Code 16"

When I try to open Photoshop CS6 I get "Error Code 16"
I have researched Internet - ADOBE and others - to find a solution, but no luck! (see under)
The problem started around one year ago but I was able to open Bridge and go to Photoshop from there until recently.
Now I get "Error Code 16" in Bridge too when I am trying to go to Photoshop.
I have tried everything I could think of (including creating a new Administrator-user) with help from my Internet research and my own pretty good experience (I started working with computer systems as a Systems Analysts 1968...... - now it is only PCs)
I miss my Photoshop and Bridge a lot - it is very frustrating to have this problem, but I can see I am not the only one!!!
I also have these Adobe products:
    Adobe Photoshop
    1045-1297-1724-5553-8938-xxxx
    Adobe InDesign
    1037-1476-0290-3491-8464-xxxx

    Adobe Photoshop Elements

    and some more.
I am grateful for all help.

  • Can't use the keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop CS6 when updating Mavericks

Can't use the keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop CS6 when updating Mavericks

Thanks everyone. What worked for me was a version of the suggestions above. I had the problem with the ≠ character appearing in all my Photoshop CS6 keyboard shortcuts and rendering them largely unusable. However, I don't have any other keyboards besides US English enabled on my Mac. I do have Spell Catcher installed, which works through the keyboard input method. So, I switched from Spell Catcher back to English (with the US flag), launched Photoshop and presto, my keyboard shortcuts were restored, absent that obnoxious ≠ symbol. Once in Photoshop, if I reselect Spell Catcher, the ≠ symbol returns so I have to run Photoshop without the help of Spell Catcher - or forego the use of keyboard shortcuts while it's on. Since the developer of Spell Catcher passed away last year there will be no more updates to the otherwise very useful utility. Apparently this keyboard shortcut problem in the various guises reported here is linked to some element of the OS X input method in Mavericks, as Photoshop seems to manifest the issue in relation to one specific input source or another. This is the first application in my experience to have a problem with Spell Catcher in OS X 10.9. So I will continue to use it, except in Photoshop. Spell Catcher was never updated for Mountain Lion or Mavericks so people like me will have to use it "at our own risk" as the saying goes. Be that as it may, it does appear to be a bug in Photoshop that's at the root of this matter as different people have somewhat different problems with the OS X input method - not that I expect either Adobe or Apple to do anything about it.

  • Photoshop CS6 EXTENDED Install Error [WINDOWS] *error report included*

    Greetz,
I uninstalled Photoshop CS5.1 ME (Middle Eastern) version from my 64bit operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) and went on to install CS6 EXTENDED after a fresh restart (I also deleted remaining CS5 folders in "Program Files' Adobe directory"). The setup went fine. But, when it finished, it gave an error message saying that Adobe Photoshop CS6 didn't install or didn't install correctly. From there, I copied the error report/log it gave out:

My question is, what did the error report mean and what could be wrong with my currently installed version of PS? BTW, I didn't use Mini Bridge yet, although all of its files are present in the Program Files directory for Adobe.

  • Photoshop CS6 / CC Update Fail

I'm running into issues while attempting to update Photoshop CS6 on my Mac.  I recently joined Adobe CC, however have Adobe PS CS6 already loaded on my machine. When I attempt to update the program inside of PS CS6 now using the Help/Updates/Install Updates pathway, I'm receiving an "U44M1P7" Error Code message at the end of the download cycle.  When I try and update using the Adobe Applications Mgr, I receive a "File corrupted, please cancel and retry later" type of error message.  Any suggestions or thoughts on how to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Sandi

After a long afternoon of working to get through to tech support, was finally able to reach a solution to address this issue and successfully upload PS CC. Here are the steps I needed to take to get the software to successfully load on my Mac.
The first step was to remove my previous version of PS CS6 using the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and uninstall my previous version of PS CS6 (note, make sure you download the latest version of Adobes CS Cleaner Tool). I needed to do this to remove the corrupted file on my machine that I initally encountered this morning when I tried to update PS CS6 with the firewall on my computer still on.
Once I uninstalled PS CS6 using the CS Cleaner tool I then went back to the Adobe Applications Manager and reloaded PS CS6 on my machine.
Once PS CS6 was reloaded on my machine, I then had to update it by launching PS CS6, going to the Help Menu, clicking on Updates, then loading the PS CC updates on my machine.
Everything seems to be functioning now. Hope this helps if any one else out there is running into the same issue ... Be sure to turn off your firewall when downloading the updates, I'm pretty sure that's where the issues I ran into began for me.
    Cheers.

  • Macbook4 and Photoshop CS6 filters - update available?

I use my old Macbook for design work. I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 - everything works except the oil paint and liquify filters (which I use often at work) When I try to use Oil Paint, I get this error message:
"The filter you were using encountered an unknown graphics processor error that caused an unexpected exit. Check the manufacturer's website for the latest software."
Has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it? Apparently this problem can be fixed on a PC simply by updating the graphic card but hte MAC updates don't work as well.
Is there anything I can do? Here are my specs below:

Contact Adobe and ask for a less powerful version of the filter that will run on your GMA X3100, or ask on the Adobe forums for it.   Notebooks generally don't have upgradeable graphics cards.   If you wanted an upgradeable graphics card, only Apple's Mac Pro desktop has that.   Your alternative is to ask Adobe how to downgrade back to the Photoshop that worked best on your machine if you didn't manage to make a clone backup before installing CS6.    Whenever you upgrade you need to carefully read the specs of the package you are upgrading.  If they mentioned other graphics cards and not the one on your machine, they mean it.  If they didn't, then Adobe needs to mention which ones are compatible.  You can sell your CS6 to someone else, or if you are in the store purchase period, ask for a restocking refund if possible.   You can also find out from Adobe which Mac models it does recommend for CS6 and sell your MacBook, or keep it for older software until you are ready to upgrade all your software.    Mind you, new Macs since July 20, 2011 do not support PowerPC software (pre-2006) without a workaround.
Mac is a nickname for Macintosh.  MAC is the acronym for a network device address.

  • Photoshop cs6 install administrator error - Windows 7 64-bit

I have attempted installation of Photoshop CS6 repeatedly following a fresh installation of Windows 7 64-bit.  Initially running into the error stating Administrator Rights is required to run this upgrade image, I forced it to Run as Administrator.
I forced the installer to verify my Adobe ID at the "Sign In Required" page by selecting "Not your Adobe ID?), then entering my email address and password.
Following selection of both Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64Bit) and Adobe Photoshop CS6 (32Bit), and clicking Install, I receive the error:
    Setup.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).  Click OK to close the application
Once I click OK, the persistent Administrator error appears:
"Administrator privileges are required in install.  Please log in as an administrator."  I already am logged in as an administrator on this system.
Any solutions to these errors?  I have successfully installed, and ran, Photoshop CS6 on this system (as recently as 3 days ago, before the need to perform the total system wipe, and Windows 7 reinstall)

that's a microsoft error message which can have a number of causes and solutions.

  • Photoshop CS6 Trial install Error

Hey, whenever I try and install the trial version of photoshop cs6 it always comes up with the Exit Code: 7 error at exactly 2%...
Heres the error summary that I am linked to-
    Exit Code: 7 Please see specific errors and warnings below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW041 ...   -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------   - 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)      ERROR: DW041: INSTALLDIR Volume K:\ doesn't exist.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes:      Im trying to install this software to the C: drives "x86 program files" file
Im running a Desktop PC with Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit install with 8gb of RAM, a quad core i5 processor at 3.30 Ghz and a Nvidia 560 GTX dedicated Graphics Card
Im also running the latest ESET Anti-virus, however I did disable it during the install
I have followed the "Selective Startup" troubleshoot steps, however this still did not work
I have also run the Adobe Support Advisor program and it came up with 0 errors
I also have installed a working Adobe Photoshop CS4 program (which is getting kinda old now, dont know if its interfering)
I hope this infomation is helpful to help you help me (tongue twister ...) and I look forward to your response
    cheers,
    R0girrek

Errors "Exit Code: 6," "Exit Code: 7"
In fact you might simply consider uninstalling all Adobe software and running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. The problem is that one of those otehr programs has left an outdated/ invalid reference to a shared resource, possibly an external drive or USB stick you had plugged into the system at the time and that no longer exists now...

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended Update Questions

I have Photoshop CS6 Extended as part of the Master Suite (stand alone) on a 64bit Windows PC. it is currently running PS version 13.0
I can't connect the PC to the internet at this time but would like to download the update(s) on my laptop and then install in the PC.
    My Questions are:
    1) are there any known problems with offline upgrades to Photoshop doing it this way? Any precautions I should take?
    2) what version CS6 Extended should I be Updating to (as I'm on a stand alone version and not Creative Cloud)?
    thanks

Windows CS6 perpetual should be at version 13.0.1.3 to be fully up to date. Where subscription CS6 is version 13.1.2
Adobe Windows Photoshop Update downloads are downloaded from Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
However that does not show ACR 8.7.1 You get that here Camera Raw 8.7.1 is now available

  • Photoshop cs6 trial app error c000001d

I have installed the trial version of Photoshop cs6 and after installation and starting the application I get application error c000001d. Any ideas?
    Anwendungsausnahme aufgetreten:
            Anwendung: E:\Programme\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Photoshop.exe (pid=4832)
            Wann: 19.06.2012 @ 14:15:26.234
            Ausnahmenummer: c000001d (Ungültige Anweisung)
Schein wohl an den Fähigkeiten meines Processors Athlon XP 2800+ mit seinen SSE (nicht SSE2) Fähigkeiten zu liegen.

Its a compiler/dependency issue regarding SSE1 indeed. The devs successfully pinpointed the responsible dependencies on CS5 but not on CS6 yet.

  • Every time Photoshop CS6 is updated it loses the ability to process RAW files

I have had no trouble with PHotoshop CS6 for several years. Then I bought a copy of Dreamweaver CS6, which on installation destroyed all records of every other Adobe product that I have. It also stopped Photoshop CS6 from handling RAW files. So I reinstalled them. All of them. And then they could see and process RAW files again.
The Adobe Updater got to work after the next log on, downloaded a huge bolus of software and now Photoshop cannot handle RAW once again. This is truly annoying and becoming expensive. Has anyone had a similar experience?
I note that teh Dreamweaver product is not listed on my registered product list here on line, and when I tried to register it, the system refused, saying that it was registered as a part of a 'systems purchase', or some such. I bought it as a download from an on-line retailer.
Widgets: Win7 64 bit, 16 GB, dozen processors, NVIDIA2000W, top end screen.

That certainly sounds like bogus software. I'd get rid of it (and do a clean reformat/reinstall of everything in case it has planted some malware in your system).
