Photoshop CS6 is blurry or pixilated on mac book with retina display
Hello,
I just upgraded to a 13" macbook with retina display. Now most of my apps have blurry or pixilated text. I can handle that in most cases, the real problem comes in with photoshop CS6. I've updated to the latest version using the help menu in photoshop, but that did not seem to fix the problem. I've also read the you can get info on the photoshop app and uncheck open in low resolution. The only problem is that when I try to do this, finder won't let me uncheck the box and the text is light gray.
Any suggestions?

InDesign has yet not came up with the retina display support update but yes we are going to have the support of retina display for most of the products eventually.

I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However,the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. What is is the error in the app store? I really need help to resolve this issue.
Moreover,I also need help how to update to the mountain lion free of charge as my Mac pro is four(4) days old.

Since purchasing my Mac Pro with retina display, I can no longer change the preferences on MP Navigator for Canon MX870. I can change them on my old Mac Pro with Lion, but not the new one. I can scan but I can't save it to a folder on my hard drive. I can only let it default to a back up date folder. Tried all sorts of things to change the preferences and folders, nothing worked. Ideas?
StephanieTo prevent your iPhone from automatically syncing when you plug it in, click on iTunes in the menu bar, then preferences, then "devices", then tick "prevent iPhones, iPad's and iPod's from syncing automatically".
Plug it in, then on the iPhone sync summary screen, click "info" along the top.
Make sure the "sync contacts" option is not ticked. as long as it's not ticked, then it won't sync with your mac's contacts but will still include them in backups.
Also, if you use iCloud, make sure that the iPhone/mac are either not signed into the same account, or that "contacts" is not turned on for both of them -
Hi I got a new mac book pro retina display of 8G ram and 256GB ssd (late 2013 model). I was trying to shut down.It was taking around 20-30 secs.Is this normal? When i say shutdown i mean , i just login and shutdown.Do nothing else. I repeated the same process for 4 or 5 times. The numbers are the same.
The boot up takes around 15 secs. Are the numbers crazy or normal.

This is not necessarily 100% correct at the current time.
As Dropbox is encouraging people to set it up for automatic uploading of photos they gradually increment your space as you load more pictures for free at the current time.
You do start with a fixed 2 GB but if you upload photos you will be awarded more free space.
You can also open a free account with Flickr - you may have some upload limits per day but you can upload pictures there. -

Yes. Don't cover the Mac with cases or "skins" or use keyboard covers, since they impede proper heat dissipation. Its entire case serves as a heat sink.
If you are concerned contact AppleCare. A Mac should never become so hot you can't hold it. -
CS6 resolution on Mac Book Pro Retina Display
The resolution for all CS6 programs on mac book pro retina is horrific. Will there be updates?! I am quite frustrated that I can barely see any of my type in Indesign.

Reinstall Mavericks on Mac Book Pro Retina Display
Hey All,
Have a Late 2013 Macbook Pro with Retina Display & It has OSX 10.9.2 on it. Problem is it wont boot from a USB Disk. i try to boot it using my Mountain Lion Install USB, and it wont let me do it. Researched show me that this is b/c its an old version of the OS and Mavericks wont boot old versions of OSX.
PS: I do NOT want to boot from internet, because this is NOT my mac, and my friend does not have an apple ID, etc.
So, If i download the Mavericks Install file from the app store from my mac, and copy it to my USB using diskmakerx, will the mac let me reinstall Mavericks from fresh?
The machine has 10.9.2, but from what I read online, the Mavericks install file is an 10.9.1, so it probably wont boot.
Has apple updated the Mavericks install file on the app store to 10.9.2?By the way, when you do the download, be sure that your Systems Preferences > App Store has the box for auto install unchecked:
So it does not try and install when it finishes the download. Copy the Install Mac OS X file from your Applications folder to the flassh drive. -
I was trying to run ITunes 10.7 update on my Mac Pro with Retina dispaly but "An error has occurred" and I was not able to proceed with the update. The message says "The operation was cancelled. (3072)." I have no other messages. Any ideas why I cannot install this update
Scott's solution fixed the problem. It would have been helpful if the update message in the App Store had reported that. I had first tried B Noir's solution -- and received a helpful warning message that a guest user was still logged in to iTunes. I switched over, logged the guest user out, switched back and the update within the App store worked perfectly.
It seems to me that Apple should invest a little time and effort in making their error/warning messages easier to decipher. I have to come to the forum every time something happens. Why not simply have a dialogue window that opens up to explain the most likely issues?
