Photoshop CS6 is installed, do I need CC or can it be uninstalled

I started Adobe Application Manager from the desktop icon, I assumed it was for checking for and installing updates for
Photoshop CS6, but it in fact is an installer for CC. I allowed the installation to complete rather than quit partway through
and be a problem to clean up.
So now I have CC installed and do not know if it is needed. I am not intending to become a CC subscriber or use any of the
CC features or apps. Is CC needed if I am only running a local install of Photoshop CS6?. Can I safely remove it?

After much reading, I decided to uninstall Creative Cloud as it seems like it is only required for subscribers. So after a successful uninstall, I tested Photoshop CS6 and Bridge, there were no problems that I could see. I will post another reply if any problems occur.

You will not have any 3D features as they are not supported by the XP OS.

Have you noticed any difference between your MacBook and others at the Apple store? Wondering whether this is a configurable setting at the system level, i.e., DPI.
You can default Firefox to a larger zoom level to avoid having to zoom every page. You'll still be able to adjust the size for individual sites as needed. It sounds as though you are aware of these add-ons:

* NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
There are some discussions about changing coming in Firefox 22 (I think) to address higher density displays like the Retina display. So perhaps there will be a built-in setting to address this in the future.

Photoshop CS6 not installed in Mac

I was trying to install Photoshop CS6 in my MacBook Air, but an error message says that I cannot install it in a volume that makes difference between upper and lower case letters. I have only one HDD volume. How can I solve this?

You need to reformat your drive and reinstall OSX on a normal HFS+ partition.

Photoshop CS6 EXTENDED Install Error [WINDOWS] *error report included*

I uninstalled Photoshop CS5.1 ME (Middle Eastern) version from my 64bit operating system (Windows 7 Home Premium) and went on to install CS6 EXTENDED after a fresh restart (I also deleted remaining CS5 folders in "Program Files' Adobe directory"). The setup went fine. But, when it finished, it gave an error message saying that Adobe Photoshop CS6 didn't install or didn't install correctly. From there, I copied the error report/log it gave out:

Photoshop started fine and worked fine (only used it a bit) after the "failed" installation but, the Update option in the Help window was grayed out (trial version, just to let you know). Is that a limitation to the trial version? Or is it straight up an error?
My question is, what did the error report mean and what could be wrong with my currently installed version of PS? BTW, I didn't use Mini Bridge yet, although all of its files are present in the Program Files directory for Adobe.

I bought a computer with Photoshop CS6 already installed, but I don't have the serial number - can I still transfer this software to a new computer?

I currently have a MackBook with Photoshop CS6 installed. This came with the laptop when I bought it on eBay, therefore, I don't have the serial number for the software. Can I still transfer the Photoshop CS6 from this laptop onto a new one?

No.
Whoever sold you the laptop should have removed the software first, or gone through the proper process to transfer the license to you. Chances are that they used it to obtain an upgrade, in which case it would not even to eligible to be transferred.

Disc Space error on Photoshop CS6 Extended install

I am attempting to install Photoshop CS6 Extended (win version) on my Windows 7 ( 64 bit) machine. Core 2 duo CPU @3.16gh with 8 gb or ram.
The machine meets all the minimum requirements and has more than enough disc space.
This is the error I get during initial extraction. "A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and write privileges on the destination folder. "I am the admin, the folder has permissions set correctly.
Also, I tried to read the "installation instructions" found in the CD and am unable to read the file as it says it is corrupted. Anyone else running into this issue?

if that's a problem with your cd, download a trial of ps cs6 and install/activate using your serial number:

Photoshop CS6 Trial install Error

Hey, whenever I try and install the trial version of photoshop cs6 it always comes up with the Exit Code: 7 error at exactly 2%...

Notes:      Im trying to install this software to the C: drives "x86 program files" file

               Im also running the latest ESET Anti-virus, however I did disable it during the install
               I have followed the "Selective Startup" troubleshoot steps, however this still did not work
               I have also run the Adobe Support Advisor program and it came up with 0 errors
               I also have installed a working Adobe Photoshop CS4 program (which is getting kinda old now, dont know if its interfering)

In fact you might simply consider uninstalling all Adobe software and running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. The problem is that one of those otehr programs has left an outdated/ invalid reference to a shared resource, possibly an external drive or USB stick you had plugged into the system at the time and that no longer exists now...

Help! Photoshop CS6 not installing correctly

I just tried to download adobe photoshop CS6 ( student and teaching licensing) , when it said finished installation I went to pull it open and it said, "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." So I put the disc back in and went to reinstall and then this message came up, "Installer failed to initialize. THis coule be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I did just that and it said there was no problem! Can someone please help

It could be installation miss with the application.
To resolve the concern Please uninstall the application first completely from your computer.
Then insert the disc and copy the contents from the disc to the desktop, we can also make a folder in desktop and then copy the contents into it.
After copying the contents. locate setup.exe and then try to install the applcation.

Photoshop CS6 Beta install failing on Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit)

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit). I am unable to install the Photoshop CS6 beta version. When I launch the setup.exe file, the "Initializating Installer" dialogue box appears, however as soon as it finishes loading the dialogue box closes and nothing happens after that. If I try to relaunch the setup, it prompts me by saying that another setup is in progress. Could you please help me in this regards?

I have done so several times as well. In fact, I just tried it a couple of minutes back, still the installed initializes and disappears like nothing happened. In the mean while I have restarted my machine a number of times.
Can anyone help me with this issue, as i really wanna try the new CS6? Its really annoying.
