Photoshop CS6 locks up the computer while doing a few things.
I have been battling this issue since I installed CS6 on this machine. I have been able to reproduce this lock up consistantly using the Lighting Effects, and I can also get it to lock up while using the Lasso tool, and also setting guides, but those are less consistant. I have tried to switch the advanced graphics options around too. It is currently on normal though. I currently have the GeForce Drivers v. 320.14 installed, which at the time of this post is the most rtecent stable build. I have followed basically every post or suggestion I could find on the web to solve this issue, but nothing works as of yet. I have even gone so far as to try every GeForce driver from 295.73 to 320.14 with no luch at resolution. Some of the drivers let me get a little further with the lighting effects, but still eventually lock up the computer... Currently I have had to uninstall Photoshop and then re-install it just to get PDF export to work right, but even after updating to the newest version of PS, I still get these lockups.
Please let me know what I am missing here.

I am trying to use the brightness adjustment on a grayscale photoshop CS6 file. The preview shows the adjustment working and changes the brightness, but when you click to apply the change, it does not apply the adjustment. I have run into this problem before, although rarely, with some other files over the years and with earlier versions of CS. I would like to know how to overcome this problem?
Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.

That is not true at all. You can turn on in Photoshop the CMYK proof preview which would look exactly the same as if you have converted the image to CMYK. A CMYK proof print from a RGB file with a profile has exactly the same output as if the file has been converted to CMYK under the same settings. Even if you have CMYK images, you see only a back converted RGB image on screen! This is a simulation and it is exactly the same simulation as if you would turn on the CMYK preview of a RGB image! You can see even the plates of a CMYK image.
A CMYK file has a size from 133% of the same file in RGB! So you have shuffle around in CMYK with more data than you would do with RGB images. InDesign is supposed to handle RGB images for print since version 2.0 and since CS (Version 3) it is working without problems. And it can do it better due to smaller file sizes than with CMYK! Try it and you will be astonished how much time and work you have wasted useless in converting images to CMYK.

Other actions you might take is to resave the tiff image without any compression or with a different compression to force Photoshop to write the file completely new. -

I can't find Photoshop CS6 Extended on the adobe download manager, only the ordinary photoshop cs6.
When i admit the trial download link of Photoshop CS6 extended on the website i'm reverted to the adobe download manager which doesn't have the extended version, only tghe normal one.
And how about x64 versions? does the normal installation pack includes both platforms?All trials of PS are the Extended version. Only when you buy the product will the serial number determine Standard or Extended. Yes, it contains both 64bit and 32bit versions.

There are two steps when entering a serial number:
When you enter it in the 24-digit field, you should see a green checkmark. If you see a red x, you may have mis-typed the number, as Ben pointed out, it could be for a suite instead of a standalone product.
If it takes the number and installs, then activation is the next step. If it fails to activate, you may have exceeded your activations or the number might have been retired.
In that case, contact Customer Care with proof of purchase.

WD Smartware locking up the computer
WD My Passport Ultra A few days ago I erased the drive with the utilities tool to start fresh. The drive firmware was updated as well. Initially, WD Smartware did not find the unit even though ejecting was an option. and the drive did not appear in Windows Explorer. I re-installed WD Smartare. WD Smartware now stops and locks up the computer during the backup process. The Smartware screen turns white. Sometimes when I try to “End Process” in Windows Task Manager, it restarts, but still does not complete the backup before locking up again. I bought the unit new at Best Buy I think October 2014. We have been successfully using CC for several months, then about 30 days ago suddenly when we tried to switch apps between dreamweaver, and Photoshop the computer went to a White screen and froze. This problem is completely repeatable, and we are at a complete loss to correct the problem. Any ideas? It doesnt do this when you switch withing Bridge and Photoshop, but with anythign else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CRASH!!

There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.

Can you lock out the Ipad while it is traveling down the road?
I would like to put an Ipad in my trucks, but I can't trust the drivers to not use it while they are driving. Is there a way to lock out the Ipad while the vehicle is moving?

GINA.DLL
Either Remote Regedit or another Force-Run app could restore this to a correct
value.

Assigning of values to the charecteristics while doing GR
Dear Gurus
I have created a charecteristic and assigned it to a class of classtype 23 (batch class).I assigned this class to a material.Now while doing GR of this material through TCODE MB1C and movement type 561 the system is giving the automatic batch number.But it is not giving any options for assigning the values for the charecteristic that I have kept in the class.How to assign the value while doing GR ?.I am able to assign the value by going to TCODE MSC2N.

One option will be mark all those characteristics as Entry Required in T.code CT04.
So that you will get a warning msg. during GR if value is not maintain.
Msg. No is LB045 and msg is,
The characteristic values for the batch are incomplete.
If required you can convert that warning msg to Error also.
You can do it by using T.code OCHS.
But keep notice that you have to go that Classification tab manually - there is no other option in
