Photoshop CS6 Not Uninstalling from Control Panel, Please Help?!

Hi, I have recently tried to open Photoshop CS6 and it tells me to Uninstall and Reinstall the programme but I go to the control panel and it doesn't work, Please Help. I work on a Win7 64 bit PC.

I had the same issue. To resolve it, I:
1. Backed up my bookmarks to my desktop;
2. Deleted the Mozilla Firefox folder (in the C:\Program Files folder).
3. Reinstalled Firefox
4. Uninstalled Firefox (to make sure any registry entries that may have been causing problems were removed)
5. Reinstalled Firefox again
6. Imported bookmarks.
7. OPTIONAL: Reinstall any add-ons I regularly use
I no longer have the problems with slow performance or websites hanging that I had after originally upgrading to Firefox 7.
Obviously if you just want to uninstall, you only need to do steps 2 through 4. I wanted to continue using Firefox and was just trying to resolve the issues I was having browsing the web since upgrading to 7.

It seems that Adobe Reader X1(11.0.0.9) installed and the installation was corrupted. It now opens up the Windows help center automatically. Booting the computer in safe mode and trying to unistall in the control panel, I get the Windows Installer Servicee could not be accessed. I am able to uninstall other programs with no problem.

One way is to download again and install, then uninstall. That sometimes resolves the issue. To clear the registry of Acrobat and Reader (this is the Acrobat forum by the way, Reader is another forum), use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html.

Jvm.dll error; Java will not open from control panel

Hi,
I am not too familiar with Java so bear with me. When loading some pages in I.E., they crash and I get an error message asking to send the error info to Microsoft. It mentions jvm.dll...also, I tried to open Java icon in control panel, but it will not open. I tried going to Sun home page, but it crashes with a few seconds. Help!!

J2re fails to uninstall from control panel

I am running windows 2000 and j2re 1.5. When I go into control panel and select uninstall it tells me I must uninstall through the control panel. I need to manbually remove then reinstall mye. can anyone help me with this task?

What are you asking again?
If you install is messed up, I suggest re-installing and then the uninstall should do so correctly.

Photoshop CS6 closes itself immediately after launching, please help!

Hi everyone,
My situation is exactly as the titles says, l launch Photoshop CS6, and the splash logo shows up as normal, and than it will close itself (as in literally as if l pressed the X button to exit the program; the individual brush windows and such close before shutting down, all of that stuff)
There are no crash reports, and no error messages.
l've been looking online extensively for an answer but l've only found other frustrated users with the same/similar problem that don't have a solution.
l purchased Photoshop along with Illustrator, and inDesign in a bundle, and it is the same situation for those programs too, they close immediately after l launch the program.
This all happened out of the blue, and l'm not sure what else to do.

I don't really understand what l have to do. l don't get any activation or connection errors, and l am already signed in with my Adobe ID.

l think that it is activated, but the programs on my computer don't think it is activated.

Based on your description, the program is not correctly installed, in this case, install or repair the program again and then it should appear at the control panel, after a reinstallation or repair, you can choose manually to uninstall it again.
If you can’t delete it from the programs directory folder, try to boot your computer in same mode to remove them, ways of booting your computer in same mode:
1.Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer.
2.Press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
3.On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the safe mode option you want, and then press Enter. For more information about options, see Advanced startup options (including safe mode).
4.Log on to your computer with a user account that has administrator rights.

How do I uninstall In-Home Agent when it's not listed in Control Panel?

My PC crashed and some files including In-Home Agent were corrupted. Attempted to delete In-Home Agent from Control Panel but the program was not listed. Then tried to download In-Home Agent but it would not install over fragments of the previously installed version. What folders or files must I first manually delete before I can reinstall the In-home agent?

You can try two things.
I would try to download CCleaner (free) Their utility has a tools section and it will find uninstallers for me when windows add/remove won't find them.
OR
you might have to install it again just to get the uninstaller, then you can use the uninstaller to uninstall.

Never mind, I think. I think I figured it out. There was 1 song (out of > 900!) that somehow had been purchased with the other ID - I have no idea how. Once I deleted that song, it stopped asking.
There may be something with the newest iTunes version too. I didn't think in older versions that the "On this iPod" list of songs was greyed out. But at least it syncs ok.

Windows Update from COntrol Panel does not work??

regardless if it is common way to do so or not: Does anyone have experience with the "Windows Update" functions in WE8S?
I tried them upon a customers request, and I've seen that I could not get it to complete successfully when choosing the option in
Control Panel. It either hanged during "Downloading..." or at the "Preparing to install..." screen - I waited for many hours. But when I using the "Windows Update"
app from the start screen, updates were installed without any problems (OK, 1 has failed, but the process has completed). Of course, both methods have different look, maybe it is not the
same...
As per Sean Limings' book it is no good idea to update systems in the field this way - shall I remove the functions from the system? What are you doing?

Maybe it was because of the number of updates (in my case there were 85 updates pending). After I succeeded installing via the "Windows Update" app from "Start Menu", there where two more updates, and update now worked when called from
control panel (at least one of them, KB2973201 still stolidly fails to install).

For starters, what exactly do you mean by "cannot print"?
Are you getting an error message? Are you trying to print from within Reader or are you opening these in the browser? What version of Reader. Even though it's a new printer, the drivers that came with it (or the ones that were already on your computer) may be old so, have you downloaded the most recent drivers from the Brother site?

Photoshop CS6 not working right

Issues are happening on a mac. using photoshop CS6. opening files from bridge CS6, trying to edit the photos and the photos sometimes goes black or scrambled. recently started to happen every now and then and now it's every time. I have uninstalled photo shop and reinstalled. I do believe that I have everything updated.

I don't ever recall anything being pre-highlighted in the list on any version using Windows, and I always remember that under most conditions you see only a list of layers under the click point - though when masks are involved with pixel layers Photoshop tends to think a layer covers the entire canvas, so it gets listed. Groups can complicate things some too.
It may be that given the way Windows controls work, highlighting something the mouse is not actually hovering over is simply impossible, or so egregiously non-standard that it would just confuse Windows users. I think it would confuse me if I saw it.
It's good practice to just name your layers appropriately so that you can easily find them in whatever list you're looking at.
